This month 32Red have increased the monthly match from $32 to $50.
(Well, for us low-rollers at least! ;) )
So I thought "Great! More money to invest in the Progressive Challenge!"

But on checking the T&C's I see that they no longer allow progressives to be played in the WR! :(
(Last month you could play progressives with Dollars, but not with Pounds).

It's hard to understand why they would do this, as I would have thought the progressives have a much higher house edge for the casino than 'normal' slots...

No apparently its quite the opposite. The casinos have to contribute to the software provider for the Progressive Jackpots ("Progressive Contributions") and this eats into the profit to the extent that progressives are often seen as loss-leaders.

progressives and wagering

Quote from the T&C:
To withdraw any winnings, players must place bets to the value of 7000 ($,) at the casino. Even Money bets at the Sic Bo, Craps and Roulette tables and bets on Progressive Jackpots do not count towards the wagering requirement.
(end of quote)

KK, I wouldn't say progressives are "not allowed", just won't count towards the wager requirement. 32Red don't exclude blackjack, jacks or better etc, and it's only 14x deposit+bonus. It's a pretty good policy if you ask me, not too hard to fulfill.

Cheers,
SM

That's what I said!

My post was just to warn others, because last month you could play progressives in the WR on $ accounts.

I agree their monthly bonus is very good (well, for an MG casino anyway) - I just wish it was higher in value! ;)
