WalMart prepaid Visa

Local WalMarts have a lot of advertising about their 'new' prepaid Visa card. I checked in to it.

$8.95 to purchase, $4.95 to load, $4.95 per mo just to have the damn card.

But still, a prepaid I can load locally is of interest... so I followed a link on the WalMart website (sorry I don't have the link, go to their website and look for their prepaid card links) and after looking around, I noticed at the bottom that the WalMart prepaid is a Green Dot card. Sheesh. I can get that at CVS! I think most of us agree that Green Dot will NOT work for .... well.... what we might want to use it for.

LOL I know I read that when you posted... but according to all the hype locally (TV, newspapers, etc.) this is a NEW WalMart prepaid. And... it wasn't even available here until now. But I do bow to your early guinea pig status and report.

thats what i asked the lady at wally world and she said there is no max amount you can put on it. if you find out anymore info on it mousey please let me know..............laurie

Hi you guys. Visa netspend is working well for me right now. It's the all access card that costs $10 to activate and about $5 to reload. Google up netspend and you can check for a store around you to get one. It costs you a buck a transaction for online purchases, but it is ATM friendly so you can always access your money. You guys may already know all this, just thought I'd let you know what is working for me. Good night all

Oh, I forgot to say. I noticed that friendfinder was embossed in gold on the botton of the mastercard. Not good for my weekly shopping along the road
