This casino.....I really hate to sound negative, but they have caused me one of the biggest headaches in years of playing online. To my surprise they are on Casinomeister trying for accreditation.

Their verification process leaves a lot to be desired, in my experience anyway.

My trust in them is extremely low at this stage. Very questionable practices in regards to delaying payment and the way they approach player complaints. I will not go into too much detail yet, I am unsure on my next course of action.

Hi Dwyer,

I'm sorry to hear about your experiences with Volt.

If you could provide some further info regarding your disatisfaction, we can investigate for you and hopefully re-install your faith in our brand.

Many thanks,

Connor

I agree, in my memory they had eyebrow bonus terms but it is a while ago for me so have to double check that

I think I disabled my account due to that so not sure if I can play sir

I reviewed them about two months ago and they've been doing rather well on the aff site I write for.

Like the wager free approach!

No complaints so far but there are some things I don't like:

Withdrawals

- very non-committal to actually just look at a withdrawal within 72 hours. There is no clear info how quick or slow they actually pay.
- no details if withdrawals can be flushed or locked
- only one withdrawal per day allowed
- Min. GBP/EUR 50 - low-rollers won't like that especially when they have to wait min. 3 days
- Max. GBP/EUR5,000 - too low for even just medium rollers, let alone high rollers

upload_2018-12-11_21-13-29.png

Games

- Missing game providers: To be really competitive they are missing quite a few game providers which are well-liked in the UK - Novo, WMS, Blueprint, Yggdrasil, Red Tiger etc.

Previous Brands

- They had a few brands already but they seem to have closed them all. Question is why? There were no big negative stories about them, they even had a recommended status on The Pogg for one brand and closed rather sudden. I always have some bells ringing when a casino is closing suddenly as that brings up the question of whether it was underfunded. No saying Volt is, just writing my thoughts down.
- Or is Volt Casino just a rebranded site after the old one closed down? IF yes, how long will they be around this time then?

Curacao license

- I would like to know what parts exactly are run via the Curacao license??? There is no information whatsoever and the MGA license only covers Netent, MG, and Wazdan.
- Refreshed the page a few times and would still get the error message.

It is these 3 rules that together completely destroyed my experience with Volt.

So basically, I had a withdrawal, i decided to reverse a little to play some more whilst it was pending (no lock withdrawal, no flush, live chat will repeat "within 72 hours" the withdrawal will be looked at).

I then click back on withdraw, and input the new amount, less the amount i intend to play with. Nope, unable to withdraw. Wait until tomorrow to withdraw now, even though my withdrawal was not actually processed. So im now stuck with the entire balance on my account to play with, without an option to withdraw until the next day.

Live chat remarks, as ever, please see our terms regarding withdrawals. One per day, even if not processed. I raise issue, and am ignored.

This was the beginning of my problems.

Well, if the 72 hours pending are indeed true and they don't offer a lock function, then they are still in the stone ages of online casinos and a place to be avoided unless you have no issues waiting 3 days (I assume they talk about business days, so it could be 5 days in real) for your dosh just to be looked at.

cheers Harry
got to say it doesnt look tempting in any way
who in UK would play in todays world at a casino were you have to wait 72 hours for a payout
when there are places who offer same service and games, and payout within minutes.
and 1 withdrawal per day ? the thinking behind that and a long wait is to make peeps reverse :)

Haven't try out their site but it seems really not competitive compare to others that you are allowed to one withdrawal daily with 3 days (not sure if processed weekends) and even if it's not processed like in your case and you want to play part back, you can't add new request...... Would be even little bit more reasonable if it would be one approved withdrawal daily (not that would be great either together with process time) but reversed and re-doing it for smaller amount when you are taking less money out of them should really imo be allowed, so for withdrawals and limits quite big minus.

Wager free spins sounds always nice but when we see that casinos are in general looking more to their bonus costs, can't see many casinos throwing you loads of wager free stuff compare to your spending, would be happy to be wrong if you deposit or wager to reach some wager free rewards.

Anyway, this withdrawal rule gave me reason not to make that first deposit as start to be soon busy get your possible winnings to get Christmas pressies :)

Same as the above - Receiving my money in 2 seconds isn't a deal breaker for me but I left 72 hour pending period casinos a long time ago when i left Bingo sites. For that reason alone I probably won't make a deposit. To be honest, i really don't see what takes 72 hours to review: bonus or no bonus taken. I rarely withdraw (could stop the sentence right there) less than 50 but, again, why the minimum 50 quid withdrawal?

At least the excluded list of games with a bonus is limited to 1.75 lines.

The above doesn't necessarily make such a place a poor one, it just doesn't incentivise me to swap my regular haunts to it. Quick withdrawals are a minimum and I'm afraid if that basic condition isn't there then you'll struggle to get people to switch (unless you load my account with 300 wager free spins a day, then I can live with a few days :p)

Hi Dwyer,

Not being able to re-request a withdrawal should not be the case and we regularly have players re-requesting a withdrawal in the same day.

We will investigate to see if there were any issues at the time of your request.

With regards to the 72 hours, kindly note that this is the maximum time and we average approx 9 hours for withdrawals on verified accounts and also aim to minimise this further in the near future.

We thank you for your feedback and of will of course take it on board.

Many thanks,

Connor

Must say I don't think your welcome offer is particularly special.
Get 5 x 10p spins for every £5 deposited over the minimum, which is £20, so 50p in spins for a £25 first deposit? Whats that, a 2% welcome bonus? I don't think I've seen a worse one!

All the other comments on here pretty much put me off though, so hope you do well, but not for me at the moment :(

Sorry Volt, no BTG, novo and those terms are just unplayable for me, so im out, sorry.

Nope not for me 72 hrs withdrawal even 9 hrs is long to be processed now a days when I withdraw I like it to be processed and sent as soon as possible and either get it within a few hours or next day etc

Hi Colin,

Our welcome mission is 5 spins for every £5 deposited, minimum deposit of £20. You receive 5 spins for the first £20 also, so you’d receive 25 wager free spins upon a £25 first deposit.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks,

Connor

Just to chime in here - I spoke with the MGA reps in Malta during the SIGMA conference a couple of weeks ago and these Curacao licenses will be dropped by 1 January by all casinos licensed by the MGA. The MGA will only allow their licensees to have valid licenses from either the EU or UK. So that is rather good news for players - bad news for Curacao.

I know for a fact it came up with a red cross and no way to re-request it, and asking live chat they advised me that yes, you cannot submit another until the next day. They then linked me the terms page.

I made issue with live chat and asked them to check if this really was the case, and they repeated once more, the terms on the site. Really was not helpful.

The real complaint I have on top of this is regarding verification.

I managed to get a decent win a week or so ago. I submitted a withdrawal that night, and went to sleep. I did ask live chat before hand how long it would take, and if my withdrawal will be sat pending the entire time until processed. Yes it will be sat pending im told, and to wait up to 72 hours for the finance team to look at it. However, the finance team are not in the office currently and only weekdays during working hours. OK i say.

Morning rolls round, and no communication yet. Around midday i get an email advising they want some documents. No problem.

I send in my photocard driving license, my Birth certificate, a government issued letter, and screenshots of my fully verified skrill account, from which i made my deposits. I will add here - the reason i sent in the Birth Certificate on top, is that the photo element of my driving license is indeed expired, and I do need to get it sorted, but every other casino currently over the last few months, have understood this, and been OK with Birth certificate along with government issued letter. I know that this is acceptable proof of identity in the UK - i even linked them the Government site that explains this, just so they understood why i was sending the additional docs.

It is good enough for several other UKGC casinos.....but Volt? Of course it was not good enough.

They email me a few hours later, around 3pm, to say all documents are accepted, aside from my proof of ID, as photocard expired. OK, but i then fire an email off explaining that the Birth Certificate and Government issued letter together should be sufficient. This email is ignored.

I go onto live chat and ask for confirmation of what is happening with verification of my account. After a period the agent says send in your Birth certificate. I say you already have it. Long pause. Agent comes back to say no we need photo ID im afraid.

So i try and explain again, but it feels like banging my head against a brick wall.

I wait for a few hours more, for maybe a reply to my email i sent earlier. Nothing. I ask live chat if verification is still happening.....agent simply says it has gone 5pm, the verification team have left the office. I ask if they work over the weekend. Agent says i dont know. I ask if anyone is available over the phone to speak to. No, email only.

So its the weekend, my withdrawal is near 24 hours pending, I have no idea what is happening with my account verification. At this stage I feel like im being given the run around, as every possible little action takes so long and barriers put up where possible. It felt like I was not going to get paid, and it was going to be one of those situations.

In the end, i reversed my withdrawal, and flitted it away, as im sure they wanted.

So then Monday rolls round. Funnily enough, i get an email bright and early. Your account is verified, we can do it with Birth Certificate after all. You are free to make a withdrawal it says! Great news.

Now call me old fashioned, or cynical or whatever you want, but come on. It is some coincidence that once my winnings were gone, they are happy to verify my account so rapidly.

Yes the main blame you could say is me being impatient and silly and playing it back. But I have been around the block a few times. I have been subject to little tactics to hope you reverse, or to make it difficult in every way to collect your winnings.

Volt knew exactly what they were doing. They got me i guess, mission accomplished.

It is the response to my complaint after all of this that is so stunning however. But i will not go into that at the moment.

Apologies for the long rant, but it has really got to me, at a UKGC casino, such silly little games. The response of live chat and the finance team of just blanket linking their terms and "tough luck" really does not sit well with me.

I hope so as if these suggestions were true about withdrawals then they certainly wouldn't be UKGC compliant.
