If a deposit into a UK casino, by Visa debit, is not immediately debited from one's balance, what does that mean?

Is it sharp practice? Or is it just down to a poor payment processing set-up?

That is what I thought, but I made a deposit yesterday and it is still on my available bank balance. I'm itching to use it again.

The casino is Vernon's, it's the first time I've seen it from a UK casino.

Pretty much everywhere takes it from the available balance....

What you're describing sounds very retro. Perhaps they're still using payment processors from the '50s?

Don’t know what it is but Novibet, when I deposit, take the money straight off. Then the next day it’s ‘added’ back to my available. Then two days later it comes off my available for good. I thought I was being charged twice but then realised I had extra cash for 24 hrs
