So today I went to use my regular card I use for online gaming at an online casino.

I got my first transaction to go through, then every other charge after that resulted in a decline. So I asked the casino why is my card not being allowed all of sudden. They said my card issuer blocked my card.

So I ended up calling my card company, to find out Visa bless there soul had shared information with them that the descriptors being used. Had a high rate of fraud associated with them. Lots of people were disputing charges on these descriptors. So they told me they would like to close my card account and reissue me a new card with a new number, because they figured my card has been compromised.

So I argued with the CSR for a few minutes about how I like to purchase things like Shoes and various other things abroad. I really didn't appreciate being told that my card was compromised when in fact I had said I had authorized each of the transactions read to me.

So it would appear to me, it might be that time of the year when Visa bless there soul, has finally decided to enough with the charge backs. We gotta do something about these descriptors.

To me I almost wanted to tell the lady, could you tell Visa that the people who are telling them that these a fraudulent are also committing fraud too, but I bit my tongue. I didn't want to disclose anything else then what I had already had.

So they agreed to keep my current account open, and submit a case to the fraud department and Visa. They should let me know within 24 to 48 hours whether I can continue using my card for these descriptors or if I'm SOL.

Don't get wrong, I guess a new card number would be nice to have in the case anything harry does happen. Yet I just can't feel pissed off that so many commit fraud to online casinos to have these fraud alerts issued. That I really can't think of how many sore losers there must be out there to have such a thing happen.

Any who rant over, just a bit of information I found out this morning, that I figured I would pass along.

Please note, please don't go pressing for the casino, card I used, or descriptors in PM or out in public. I don't feel that sharing anything else at this point, would help the situation.

Usa players should take a look at bitcoin i think, probably best option for you.
Sorry about your troubles, but never had anything like this, since i never deposit with my card, only skrill.

Yeah, feel your pain. I had something similar with Ladbrokes (their sportsbook, not their online casino mind) where Lloyds Bank had barred the use of my card because they were doing random checks for fraud and my account was being investigated as part of these procedures. I found it very annoying and couldn't help but feel Lloyds had engineered it just so I would ring them on their premium line and make some money off me.

homerbert, I am sorry to say that for all the trouble Lloyds Bank have given me in the past, I simply don't have enough faith in Bitcoin right now. Don't feel comfortable placing my funds in something that is unregulated.

Well that's just the thing homerbert, my card even declined my Bit Coin wallet. Now this could be after my bank alert put a fraud alert on my card, yet I still feel upset there calling all of the descriptors that were read to me as fraudulent.

I tell ya people have some rather big nerve to be doing what there doing.

Did you refer them to Samantha :D

I seem to have more problems with a Visa Credit than a Visa Debit especially those issued thats monitored by an outside source other than the local credit union
