Virgin and I have never really got on - even low rolling didn't enable my 50 deposits to last much beyond 10 mins. Anyway the other day I was enticed back with a 'Was it something we said' email, so fool that I was, I accepted.

Again, 10 mins of play at 0.40p per spin, proving my point. Enough already! So I asked Virgin to close my account immediately, mentioning that because of my run of bad luck, I no longer wished to play there.

Their response?

I was sorry to learn that you are concerned as to the fairness of our games... blah blah blah. Errr...no I wasn't.

...your overall payout percentage is 62.25%. This is why I want to close the account...

Should you still wish to close your account, we need to check whether you would like the account closed permanently or just suspended and left able to reactivate Errr...Yes! Now! Vite! Today!.

When I reiterated that I did indeed want to close my account, it must have been something I said...:D because this was their response.

This account will remain permanently excluded and you will not be able to re-activate it at any time. Please do not attempt to re-register on the site, as any attempt to do so will result in either your registration being rejected or your account being permanently closed upon detection. Additionally, should you successfully register an account using a different email address and different card details we can accept no liability for any activity or any losses which may ensue prior to detection and closure
.

Cripes! That's a bit of an overkill in response to an innocuous request, methinks... no wonder my ears were burning. :D

So Virago Casino, it's definitely goodnight from me!!

I too was caught by the `was it something we said` email. Mine was come and deposit 20 and well give you 20. What they DIDNT say was that you have to make wagers with your 20 totalling something like 10x BEFORE they give you the 20. As was to be expected with crappy old Virgin, the chances of making that 20 last 10x number in the billions to one lol SO lost the 20 wouldbt be given the 20 they promised i would get for coming back, made no mention of this fact in their email and lost yet another customer. I closed my account received the exact same harsh email, laughted at it for a while and forgot about them. Truly a shady casino and my advice wud be to avoid this sham at all costs!

guys

very harsh, virgin casino has always being my number 1 casino...nice promos, and won 100 the other day just for playing some slots. and the bonus you recieve you always have to wager your deposit first...

Except for the fact that none of Virgins promotion emails actually TELLS people that you have to wager their deposit first! And how is losing your deposit and not receiving a bonus at all fair? no thanks ill stick to casino software like MG where a bonus is a bonus and not some manipulative scam!

Most casinos who do not give you the bonus upfront only require you to wager 1x the deposit so your bonus will appear even if you lose your whole deposit. For those with a greater requirement ie 4x deposit they will still give you the bonus if you lose everything while in the process of meeting this requirement. Afer all, they player involved is showing some sincerity in wagering to meet the pre-conditions. IMO Virgin should still give the player the bonus but ask him to finish the uncompleted WRs. It's not too often that you can wager thru 20x or even 10x without losing the whole deposit.

Exactly Chuchu which in essence means virgin in most cases will not have to give bonuses at all, they just pretend they will. In the hope of course that you deposit even more trying to finish the wagering requirements to claim a bonus you should have already been given.

If you can't routinely make 10x your deposit, then the bonus is irrelevant, as this would indicate sub 90% payouts on their games, well below what players expect, which is around 95% for slots ranging to 99% to 99.5% for the best table and VP games.
