VIP / Loyalty Question?

Tried searching, couldn't find my answer....

Say you deposit 1,000 each week for 4 weeks.
Say he/she deposits 50.00 and hits a random jackpot in the amount of 3,950.00.

At the end of the month both parties lose all of the 4,000.

Who would have built the most VIP points / Loyalty points? :eek2: I understand comp points will increase the same but what about VIP status?

I'm assuming the person who used their own money. But then again, money won is still my money at that point. Just curious.

In my experience, it is based on deposits --- not wagering or winnings. So your first example would be the greatest VIP "credit" or consideration.

O well. Guess I'm stuck in the lower tier a bit longer :p

Deposits are irrelevant- its how much you play , what you play and your existing status. Loyalty points arise from play - so if you churned the 4000 deposit twice but the random win on the 50 deposit 4 times you would get more loyalty points from the play on the random- (subject to below)

If the depositer played all there games on non progressive jackpot slots but the RJ winner played VP or progreesives only then the depositer would earn more loyalty points as progreesives and VP usally only count for 1/10th the points for each dollar played that slots do.

Another variable would be your ecisting tier or loyalty status- if you are on the highest tier you will get more points for each dollar played irrespective of game than a low tier status player.

Diffference sites may handle it differently. But for the ones I play at most, that appears to be the way to become VIP and then the higher the VIP level the faster your comp points accumulate and more bonus offers come your way.

Now by winning, you accumulate more money to deposit --------- so circuitiously (sp?) wagering does feed the system too.

Smarter players than me will certainly add their comments also so you get a more rounded response.

Well it's kinda a combination of both:

Deposits Count and so does wagering - Take MG as an example:

The more you deposit (Irrelevant of Wins / Losses), the better your chances of getting into a loyalty program like 32Reds club Rouge.

The amount you wager, could determine how fast you progress through the levels at OTHER MG casinos. Some of them have ..Bronze - Silver - Gold - Platinum etc.. (Or Differently named) levels and promotion is achieved through wagering. The levels then dictate how your comp points accumulate and what bonus offers you are entitled to .. Obviously better the higher you go.

As another poster mentioned, it depends on the Casino and also the software you are using.

At this moment in time, I am a member of Club Rouge at 32Red and apart from the almost daily match bonuses, you can also receive other bonuses at Managements Discretion - obviously subject to the amount you are depositing and playing at the Casino.

Their loyalty points are quite generous and I often find I have racked up (in a serious session) at times more than $100 - $200 comp points. These are fully redeemable with NO 'Max Cash out' restrictions.

Find out from the Casinos you play at if they have different loyalty tiers and how they can be achieved. More deposits may also mean better deposit bonuses and in some cases lower WR requirements.

Hi folks,

Comp / loyalty points are based on game play - you play games with a low house edge i.e. BJ, you get less points than playing slots. Deposits have no bearing on loyalty points.

Deposits go towards VIP status (and all that, that means, depending on which casino you play)- comp points also contribute to VIP status.

hmmm well I usually get a manager bonus from an RTG casino that will remain nameless. They base this bonus on my deposits minus any withdrawals or bonuses I take. Since I don't usually take bonuses and rarely make any withdrawals, I'm usually guaranteed a modest bonus. Modest because I don't usually deposit very much at one time.

If I happen to get up a couple hundred and then bust out, it doesn't affect my manager bonus....however, this one time I got ahead and managed to cash out about $350 or something like that, but I reversed and played. And lost. But lo and behold, that month my manager bonus was quite a bit larger than usual, because I think they sort of counted that $350 as a deposit - if I'd never withdrawn it and just continued to play and lost, I don't think it would have counted.
