vip cashback still no playtime

There was a time when common sense and courtesy came before resorting to verbally abusing others. But when all you here anymore on television, movies any media is foul language and abusive behavior, it becomes commonplace and part of the norm for many people.

I get disgusted when trying to talk with someone that has to inject the "F--K" word into every phrase and sentence, like the conversation cannot progress without it. It's the same with any word or behavior that at one time was unacceptable and now is everyday language and expression for so many.

What was unacceptable then, is now acceptable today, does this make us a better society, easier to relate, good influence for our children or our neighbors children. Because what we allow to be so common place in our lives and with others always comes home to those around us.
It is extremely sad to see the human race becoming crotch grabbing gutter monkeys. This is not evolution, it is de-evolution.

This is not directed at TonyT as he was man enough to appologize, but to everyone who has decided to continually let there civility go a little piece at time.
Maybe we will just devolve back to Neanderthals, lose our ability to speak altogether and just club and stone each other when we are ticked off.

JMO, as it goes back to calling out our behavior and treatment towards our fellow human beings, for which at one time or another we are all guilty of in one form or another and nothing else to do with the other issues raised here.

Now I'm in Montreal at the moment - I'm going to each some Sushi.

 You mean you aren't going to have the Montreal specialty of fries with gravy and cheese curd balls?!?!? (I do not know the name, I just can never imagine who came up with the combo).

You better make sure to get out of town if the Canadians happen to beat the Penguins in the playoffs, that place is going to ERUPT! And I would LOVE IT:D

It's called poutine, and it's absolutely yummy!!! But when in Montreal, you simply have to eat the smoked meat on offer. You won't find better anywhere in the world. Actually, Montreal is quite a cosmopolitan city. I was there for the GIGSE a few years ago....and was surprised how much it had grown up (hadn't been there in twenty years). I actually ate Mexican and Chinese the two nights I was there....and I have to say the Chinese was the best I had ever had...even including Chinatown here in Toronto in the mix. Awesome selection of dining opportunities.

Uh, making me hungry here, guess I'll have to go cook now! But heating leftovers, just doesn't sound as good. :(

It's called poutine, and it's absolutely yummy

You Canadians and your damn poutine!!!! :p That's ALL I hear about from my Canadian friends. "What are you having to eat?" "We are having poutine" AGAIN!!!!!

:D

Honestly, I think this issue has gotten a little out of hand, and I want to apologize to those of you who felt what I did was wrong. If you think it was unprofessional - well then, I'll admit that I feel strongly about certain things, and I might say or do something that may be deemed racy or adventurous at times. That's just me.

But I will publicly admit - I was uncool. I'm sorry.

The casino sent the email in question as a "member to a member" sort of situation. Sure we have a business relationship, but in doing so we work closely together. And it wasn't information one would considered privileged (name, address, telephone #, etc.), it was a scary email. It was along the lines of - "Hey this guy is posting in the forum, and this is what he just sent our CSRs". And reading it really pissed me off.

One thing to make clear to everyone, this had nothing to do with which casino this came from, it could have been from Cirrus for all I care, I would have done the same thing - I didn't like what I saw - and I made a move.

TonyT - I hope you've apologized to the people you were abusive to. That would be the right thing to do.

@ the question on PMs, like with all forums, these are in the database but the moderators have no access to them. The only way to read anyone's PMs are to actually access the persons account. For the past twelve years of running the board, this has never been done - not even with banned accounts.

So glad to see an apology from CM :notworthy

Uh, I think Lock owes him an apology too! For whining to the forum rep, Tony T said nothing in his forum post that was alarming! And yes I said whining (not a courtesy heads up)about some name calling email they recv'd! The (angry) language was horrible and for that Tony should apologize, but only for that!

Also, how come no one commented on the Cant-get-right post about the NIGGER calling member?????

And in my experience, Lock Sucks!!!

Schwartz smoked meat is a must!

All good Bryan, your the Sheriff of the online gaming industry so we still love ya and trust you mate.

I think you possibly need a little break away yourself, I know you work very hard and are constantly travelling and im sure it takes its toll eventually, not to mention the stuff that has been going on here lately between forum members is tiring im sure.

Your always ok in my book Bryan.

My two cents....

I don't think the email should have gone anywhere in the first place. I think the players account should have been locked and the key thrown away. I insult people on a daily basis but the least you can do is throw some sugar on it. "Happy birthday. I'm glad to see you're living long enough to fall apart at the seams." Blah, blah, blah.

Bryan agreed it was uncool. In hindsight things could have been done differently but they weren't. I'm sure some of the people involved will learn from the uproar it caused.

I don't post anything anywhere online without the assumption that someone somewhere is going to be able to read it. It's transmitted data. The though that it's totally private is just silly.

Bryan... What the hell are you doing in Montreal? You do realize that entire province is full of french people?

LMAO Skiny I like your style!

Ok, I just read this whole darn thread due to Dave's announcement that he wants to quit CM because of it.

And what I want to say is probably going to draw some fire, but here goes anyway, because it bugs me.

TonyT's posts here are very mild mannered and very much fit in with everyone elses. Just complaining about losing streaks. We all have these, it's easy to sympathize, and all is honkey dory and business as usual.

However, there is a Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde thing going on there, because the way he behaved towards the casino reps is a totally different thing.

When there is something like that going on, I want to know about it.

The reason for this: There have been numerous cases where people post on message boards, gaining friendship and support from members, while in private putting pressure on casinos and ening up trying to blackmail the casino. The messageboard members side with the poster who won their trust and become an unwitting aide to the blackmail.

I am not saying that TonyT is playing this game, I have no idea, for all I know he is just a guy with anger management issues.

But it does help to know when someone is abusive to one party and sweet and mild mannered to the other, it keeps one from being duped should something arise.

That said, I am a staunch opponent of publishing private communications and think it is never really ok. The communication wasn't published here, only the tone of it. Sooooo... not so sure that was such a bad thing.

As far as Max/Bryan speaking to Lock about it - when I get player complaints I speak to the casinos about it too. And how can you expect something to be made right when there is no exchange of information? If the casino says "believe me, we owe nothing" am I to believe that? Of course not, I want facts.

So, if you are going to complain about a place on someone's forum, you have to expect that you will be talked about. Unless of course the forum owners don't give a shit.

Hi All,

Interesting conflicting views: My personal opinion is that Privacy and Customer Service should take precedence here. In any land based casino, if a Guest is abusive toward the Casino staff - the casino has a right to suspend the members account.

With that said, if the Casino was a regular advertiser in a particular Newspaper, and the player wrote regular gossip columns (not as a staff member), that would in essence make them part of the same forum...

The casino would NOT have a right to send a letter to the editor complaining about how the player is being derogatory toward them on their premises. If this casino had learnt anything about "Customer Service", they would be aware that people providing a service can expect this sort of behaviour from their customers. The important issue here is how they deal with it – Practice professionalism and attempt to resolve the matter internally before sending off personal complaints of slander to another body (although related to the industry).

It would have been more appropriate to let Tony know that his conduct was not appreciated or welcomed and made a decision from this. They could have also have replied to him. Instead of doing this, they sent an email to CM.... this IMPO is UNPROFESSIONALISM at its highest. Casinos should have ways and means of dealing with this type of situation within THEIR organisational structure. If TonyT was inflaming the casinos name publicly or belittling an individual on here, then I agree that that would be the correct route to follow... but he was along the lines of ... I have a Mustang - put in 20L of Gas and I'm getting a bad return on mileage... other members who have the same car tend to agree... Even although he swore at the Salesman in the Ford Showroom and they belong to the same automotive forum, will not give the sales manager the right to contact the forum administrator and email him a voice recording…..

Everybody is entitled to their personal opinion on the matter, however; having worked in the industry - This is a BIG …NO NO!!!.. Disappointing to say the least....

Casinos should attempt to resolve the matter through the correct channels – I.e. Send the person an email and advise them that their behaviour will not be tolerated or email them and advise them due to their abuse, the account has been locked. If TonyT then disputed his locked account – THEN the casino could provide proof of his transcript to advise why it was locked.

I just see the inability of Management to deal with a scenario and passing the buck onto someone when they should instead be liaising with their customers.

I am really disgusted at the approach and FYI, we all flame every now and again…What Tony did was wrong… But the casino is even worse for not attempting to rectify the scenario and warn / ban the player.

Regards,

Toothless Blue Character

Just catching this thread now.

Normally I would agree with you CM(Bryan), because usually you are pretty fair on these boards. I get that this guy needed to be cut off at the knees so to speak before things got out of control. However, I think that a quick PM to the player would have been more that sufficient to warn him to watch his wording. In doing so you would have accomplished all your goals without humiliating and disrespecting this players privacy.

Gambling can get to be an emotional sport and chances are the player regretted sending the email 10 seconds after it had been sent, after all he didn't exactly head over here with guns a blazing. In fact I believe your comment has caused more harm to this forum and Lock Casino in the end than anything TonyT could have possibly said.

Here is my 2 cents....

First, I applaud you CM for apologizing!!! It isn't easy to admit you wrong, but you have shown that you are only human and we all make mistakes. I proves alot to me that you can come out and admit when your wrong.

I am a member on the other forum where TonyT use to be. I can honestly say that he was alway polite and friendly on the message boards and in the chat room. When I read this thread, I was surprised to hear he would e-mail something like that. But then I realized he was hot, way more than hot!

We all have had times where we were mad as hell and used words and phrases we know we shouldn't have, and I can understand why he was hot. I am sure in the future he will chose his words more wisely. I really think it was a mistake and I can forgive him for that.

We are all human and we have all done things we are not proud of, and I for one don't hold any hard feelings towards TonyT or CM. I will admit for CM posting his apology he has made me think of him in a different light for the better not the worst.

Let it go and use this as something to learn from, and move on. We all have our opinions about it and that is fine, I love to read the post when people are stating their views in a suitable manor, that is what makes this forum a great place.

I can tell you this much, after working in retail for 21 years before I retired, I have learned 51 polite ways to call someone an a$$hole without ever saying the word or raising my voice, but when I was done speaking they knew exactly what I meant. If you sit back a moment and think about what you want to say you will be suprised how politely you can get your message to be in a polite manor and still mean the same thing.

Again, just my 2 cents.

LH

Sorry for the necro on this thread, it was linked to another necro thread https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/totalesoft-questions.36412/?t=36412 and I became interested in it.

But I think the severity of the abuse overrides any email privacy privileges.

I have come across people in life that do not believe that it’s right to commit a small harm to avoid a bigger one.

I have also come across “principled people.” They get fixated on principles that they believe should never be broken even if it comes at the cost of great harm. Religious people are infamous for it. I would probably mention a few examples but I’m afraid it would offend some forum members as these topics are still controversial in some countries...
