I am glad you spoke your mind Pinababy69 but what is not being realized in this situation is that a PERSONAL email was devoluged to another.

How would you or anyone else like it if something "personal" of yours was let out into the public? Its like you telling your cell phone provider off and they go and tell a cell phone forum owner what you told them.

It is out in the open what my words were to the casino so ofc people who dont like those words are going to be pissed off, but it should have NEVER been brought out at all, they didn't even have the balls to confront me is another HUGE problem.

I get it Tony, and had Lock posted the email themselves.....I would probably have a different opinion. But they didn't. They forwarded it to Bryan. It's his forum, you're a member, they're a member...they left it up to him to decide, which IMO, was the right call.

I'm a strong advocate for player privacy issues, so I do get it. But there are exceptions to every rule, and in this particular case...I have to side with the casino/Bryan. Again, strictly my own opinion.

Of course I wouldn't be happy if something I wrote was published without my okay....but then, I would never write something like that. Just for future reference, a piece of advice, take it or leave it. Don't ever put in writing anything that you may not want used against you at a later date...whether that be to a friend, acquaintance, business partner, whatever.

IMHO the above demonstrates why (even if we don't personally agree with them for moral, ethical or personal reasons), such things as personal data, privacy protocols..ect..ect are set in stone.

Is this no different to selling a client data base etc?- ok I know it was an email but the principal of it is not right.

The only connection here is that the operator is a member on this forum and is a client of there casino, two sperate things altogether isnt it??

I do agree noone deserves to be spoken to in the manner he spoke to the casino rep but come on, im sure they have had some very colourful people in there time and they know how to manage them accordingly so why did they need to send this players chat on to Max..

Just to nip this in the bud, it was my decision to call the player out on his abusive email. TonyT had sent their customer service rep a threatening and abusive email. Since the player is starting to post about not liking the casino in public, I decided to call the player out on this. Simple as that.

Everyone has every right to call people out on this - that's my opinion.

There's a crazy lady here in Casinomeister Land that just sent me an "abusive" private message the other day, without provocation of any private message received from me.

I think she's stalking me Meister...should I call her out in public here or just let it go?

I think I will just let it go and leave her with this to think about....

It has been at least a month and a half and over 2K in deposits with no playtime or fun at all.

I deposited $100 with no bonus and played at .75 a spin and never changed. I don't see any slanderous remarks in these 2 posts that would warrent a casino to forward this persons email to a gambling forum. Although the email was offensive (no one is going to deny that), it was between a disgruntled player and the casino.

Just read this thread in whole. Gotta say that while yes the email was abusive I think it was and should have been an issue between the casino and the player. With things like gambling people do get angry, loose there cool its the nature of the biz. In my line of work not gaming, we get abusive emails thrown at our staff every now and then. Some similar or worse to what the OP sent. We dont make it public on the forums we visit that are related to our industry it stays between client and us. If we feel its over board we can ban the user, block the card from further purchases any number of things.

But it always stays private. No casino needs to take this kind of abuse but it happens they need broad shoulders and thick skin (like our team have ) and if they felt it was to much just close the players account . simple.

That's what has been bothering me but I hadn't thought of it that way.

They have so much personal info at the casinos about us, what would stop an irrate rep. from publishing that info if you got them pissed enough?
Full real name, home address, phone number, birthdate, certain financial info...Back in the day they even had our bank account numbers (maybe they still do in places other than US).
I know in this case it's Bryan, and something like that isn't going to happen, but I shudder to think what would happen if you really irritated someone at a place with less than stellar business ethics and they decided to "get back" at a player (yeah I know we aren't supposed to play at places like that but let's face it even some on the forum dip into non-accredited sometimes, at least I gather that from posts I see). It is hard enough to get paid sometimes, how would you go about protecting yourself against something like that?

And OK I understand now that Lock is a member here also, so I do see it from THAT perspective, they have the same forum rights and do not need to be abused in any way. However they are not exactly a member in the same way the players are and the abuse did not come via this forum.
The whole thing just makes me a tad uneasy

They are not private at all....CM can read any of them. I'm not sure of the other mods? I belonged to a forum (non gambling related) and I was very close with the owner and mods, and they revealed to me that PM's are NOT private. After that, I changed the way I would PM people. I'm not saying that's what CM or the mods do here, but they can read PM's if wanted.

About this whole situation, it stinks.

i always thought that due to this i must be due a decnt win due to law of averages lol

now my question is this do any members feel the same as me that due to it being basically a freebie of kinds the software picks up on this and doesnt play aswell as with deposited cash

As far as emails being sent to the Mods here go, it is never ok to talk to anyone that way, casino reps and chat agents are not there for people to abuse.

Would you want someone in your family if they happened to work at a call center for a casino to be talked to like that? People have feelings whether they work for a casino or are just sitting behind a keyboard and mean vile words do hurt.

I'm on the 4th day of play on that money, have met the WR, but only have $50 left, so nothing is cashable. That said, I think I got a pretty fair exchange and a boatload of entertainment for $52. If I bust out today, which is likely, I will have gotten a good ride for the money. A win would have been nicer, but still very nice play. This, for the first in a longtime, reminded me of the old days when you could at least get quite a bit of playing time for your money. My bet's rarely exceeded 20c-40c. Max, I didn't say you or Bryan were reading them, I was saying you can if wanted. Maybe not mods, but Bryan most certainly can. And in no way do I think Bryan is sitting behind a computer reading peoples PM's, again I am just saying he can. I'm sure he has much bigger things to deal with than that.

LOL...dude, I could go to the mall, especially if I was with my wife, I guarantee you $50 would be gone 10 minutes after we cleared the door.
While I spent money at the casino, I had an expectation of spending that money and never seeing it again. If I had played in fun mode it would have been 100% guaranteed that I could win no money. Believe me, I play in fun mode lots. It keeps me from spending much money, especially the way the casinos behave lately. All I was saying is that the last one was one of my better sessions in a long, long time.

Honestly, I think this issue has gotten a little out of hand, and I want to apologize to those of you who felt what I did was wrong. If you think it was unprofessional - well then, I'll admit that I feel strongly about certain things, and I might say or do something that may be deemed racy or adventurous at times. That's just me.

But I will publicly admit - I was uncool. I'm sorry.

The casino sent the email in question as a "member to a member" sort of situation. Sure we have a business relationship, but in doing so we work closely together. And it wasn't information one would considered privileged (name, address, telephone #, etc.), it was a scary email. It was along the lines of - "Hey this guy is posting in the forum, and this is what he just sent our CSRs". And reading it really pissed me off.

One thing to make clear to everyone, this had nothing to do with which casino this came from, it could have been from Cirrus for all I care, I would have done the same thing - I didn't like what I saw - and I made a move.

TonyT - I hope you've apologized to the people you were abusive to. That would be the right thing to do.

@ the question on PMs, like with all forums, these are in the database but the moderators have no access to them. The only way to read anyone's PMs are to actually access the persons account. For the past twelve years of running the board, this has never been done - not even with banned accounts.

It will always cost money in the end. The house edge does its job.
When I make a deposit I expect to lose it, but I hope to win.
Thats the thrill of gambling.
I wont complain if I play 4 days on a deposit.
