They are on the "microgaming" list here, but villento tells me they do not use Microgaming software, although they have the same games.
me: you are still micro gaming?
me: ?
Nicole : No we are currently using an unbranded software provider
me: why would you leave microgaming? they have the best software in the industry
Nicole : Since our Us players were moved to an independant platform
me: same games?
Nicole : Microgaming has actually cut all ties with the US market
Nicole : Yes all the same games are available
Reading through this thread, i cant really find if the current theme is DONT play here of DO.
It seems the other software has been made by "Level 11 Ltd", who have licensed a subset of the games from MGS, as well as permission to use the "look & feel" of an MGS client. Mostly these are MGS "own brand" games, and don't include games produced on themes licensed to MGS, such as Tomb Raider, Hellboy, LOTR, etc.
The software itself does not have a brand name - which is itself VERY odd in the modern world. Even the supermarkets invent a "brand" to sell us their "unbranded" products.
Effectively, it has to be referred to as something, and with no official name, players have started calling it "Microgaming USA" because it ONLY has Microgaming games, and does have the "look & feel" of the real thing.
It has also lead to confusion, with questions ranging from accreditation & testing, to regulation.
