I had the chance to have the first few spins on the Vikings slot from Netent, which will be released on 22nd November 2018. I can say, it will be an exciting game which you will like for a change. :D

Top Pay in a single spin: 200,000 coins or 10,000x bet!

It is a 243-ways slot which is changing to a massive 5x7 grid with 78,125 ways in the bonus round. Random Feature, Scatter Pays and a Free Spins round are all included. Looks like Netent listened a little to the criticism. :D

You can watch a teaser video published directly by Netent if you google - Vikings slot Netent

Oh yeah! Netent Slots are reviewed at Casinomeister - to include their associated casinos! Woo woo!
Oh oh Netent is buying themselves into the Megaways too.
If this is really the future of online gambling I am out.
Dear oh dear. :eek2:

10.000x bet it says on the tin..Once every 5 years someone might hit that.

I've hit 300 and 400+ x bet in my test spins, that is much more what i got with games like Double Stacks, Berryburst and the like. It is at least once again a HV game that truly has potential.

About time Netent got with the programme, although I'd never heard of this release or any build-up. It's been pretty Loki.

But if the promise of richdom exceeds Netent variance myth then I may find myself hammering this furiously, to the point of my hands being Thor. And that's not just because of the aforementioned Lagertha :eek2:

^^^ LMAO

They signed a licensing deal for Vikings and Narcos in Feb 2018, Vikings is now the first one to be released, while Narcos will come out in Jan/Feb 2019 (planned).

I Thor that this was good too, but I'm a Freya I didn't do that well. Heimdall-ying with it again soon, though Netent shouldn't Bragi about it too much until it's a proven success.

I have a had a spin on this too and have to say I agree with Harry, better then the standard Netent dross of late, by far. Free games are good although I felt are a little volatile and can pay either poorly or drop in some monsters. Best one for a while, but it's all getting a bit 'Spinal Tap' - for "but this amp goes to 11" substitute 'but this one goes to 172,678,987,323 ways!"

Doubt it ;)

So 9/10 bonus rounds won't be paying between 1x & 30x anymore?

Also doubt it

The only way NotEnt will ever change and become a "Better" provider is if they actually increased thier distrubution of 100x-200x wins from bonus features.

They are so seldomly seen that thier slots aren't worth playing.

Look at PnG and others, I probably hit a 100x+ feature on a frequency of 1 out of every 3 or 4.

That's how to make decent slot games.

I really would love it if this actually was different.

Played it nonstop for more than 2 hours and still wasn't bored. That is a first since I reviewed Jungle Spirit, in my view the last decent game from Netent.

The bonus rounds tend to pay well, but sure, there will be rounds where you end up with less than 20x bet. It is a HV game after all.

Complain when they don't do it. Complain when they do.

Which means the other 3 have to be awful, or the feature very rare.

Definitely of the Warlords ilk and actually something worth being excited over. POTA was almost the final straw but as we know anything viking-ey always seems to fit with slots

And with a bit of a revamped paytable with big wins up for grabs that's a good sign, and shows that they acknowledged player concerns.

Anything's gotta be better than the Theme Parks, Red Riding Hoods and Scruffy Ducks of this world. Nickelodeon time is over :D

Well, take Novo for example.

A very high frequency of 100, 200 & 300x+ features. It's uncommon to have a feature actually pay less than 100x on the majority of thier more popular slots.

Thier slots are quiet volatile and can drain your balance quiet fast and the bonus can be hard to trigger sometimes.

Usually though you can trigger the feature inside 300 spins.

Now take NotEnt. Open any game and see if you can trigger the feature inside 300 spins. It's actually more difficult, just open Mirror Mirror or Lost Relics and you'll find you'll actually be lucky to trigger the feature in 600 spins.

Lost Relics and alot of other NotEnt garbage play with the same volatility (Or worse) as Novomatic and yet don't have the big wins frequency to match....strange one isn't it?

When your balance diminishes by 50x or over on NotEnt and the majority of features pay 10-30x then it's not what I would call entertainment and makes getting ahead an almost impossible task.

Novo on the other hand can eat 150x, give you a bonus and get you ahead by hitting one of thier common 200x features.

So with NotEnt we already have very rare and low paying features, and with Novo rare but very high paying features.

Tell me, which would you rather play?

Assuming that games can take 12 - 18 months to develop, from conception to release. This is probably still going to have the same 'NetEnt Variance' as all the other recent releases.
If NetEnt have listened to any player feedback. Then we may not see any changes implemented for a while yet.

If greenlit back in Feb it'll have been a 9-month cycle for it's touted November release. The game may have been finished a couple of months earlier with the remainder for testing and marketing purposes

I'd imagine this does bear some recently-incorporated gameplay tweaks from both player feedback and market trends, so while the base game may be a little too familiar Netent Variance, I think the bulk of the project was concentrated on the free spin pays. 50,000 ways to win type thing. Thank God it didn't go down the Laser Fruit route :D

I suppose it depends on, at what point in the development, it becomes impossible to make any maths changes to a game, without having to restart the development cycle.
