Got this e-mail from one of my YT subscribers just now.

Hi Dazza

Just wanted to say love all your video's,

Thought this might be something you may be interested in, I signed up to Vikingslots, over the weekend and went to make a deposit, but it got declined, so I spoke to live chat and they couldn't give me any information,

Today I received the following email:

"Dear xxxxxx,

Welcome back to Viking Slots….. The most secure and fun online casino around!

We thank you for contacting us at Viking Slots, I am writing with regards to the deposit issue you encountered yesterday with me in live chat, our security team have run the full checks and it would seems the issues was due to a request to be self excluded from one of our sister casino that has raised this issue for player security. If you wish to have this account re-opened and to make the first deposit please pop back to live chat today and ask for me directly and i'll advise you fully of how this can be done in minutes.

Should you have any further questions Patrick, please do not hesitate to contact us by coming to LIVE CHAT, where we are available from 7AM to 12AM (GMT) 7 days a week.

Best of luck Patrick, your next big Viking Slots win, is just a spin away!

Your dedicated Viking Slots Support Team

James D
Account Manager"

Not exactly promoting responsible gambling is it ?
Best Regards xxxxxx

Had never heard of the casino but see its UK licenced and part of group that's mainly scratchcard sites.

Everyone knows how I feel about self exclusions but the one certain thing is if you are excluded from one in a group then you cant get it cancelled and play at another in the group until exclusion is over.

For a manager to send an email like that is so wrong.

I would love to know exactly what a casino needs to get a UK licence. From seeing some of the casinos getting the licence it seems like they just apply , pay whatever it costs and get the licence regardless of what the casino is actually like.

I first thought this was a thread about member theviking being naughty.:p

I was like what did he do? Lose his winnings on creature of the black lagoon.

But never mind carry on.........

Aside the very questionable offer of the account manager to circumvent the SE at the sister site, what is remarkable though is that this group has some sort of detection software in place that won't allow you to deposit if you have an active SE at a sister site.

Now we had EM and god knows what other reputable and CM accredited casinos stating repeatedly and firmly that this is NOT POSSIBLE!!!

So EM & Co. how can this casino group do it and you can't? A honest explanation would be very welcome!!!

You really do not believe the bullshit about not being able to integrate the SE across the sites? :)

Of cause it can be done, I am sure it was EM that just couldn't be bothered, & if Dunovers post is true than there is the proof,

Have you tried sign up to a site and seen that user name already in use? Thats all it takes with a name or email, Yes there may be people with the same name but I am sure something could be done with that such as it being flagged up,

That will be the day!!!

My apologies for failing to dig up the appropriate thread.

Either Slots Magic (or one of their sister sites not accredited here, the later I think) re-opened a SE'd account. The original SE pre-dated the UKGC implementation, and therefore they were not bound by the NEW UKGC regulations for a prior SE.

IIRC, the casino in question had actually emailed the player in question to invite them back, I guess because they could since the prior SE under a different regulator no longer applied.

Naughty indeed. The legal thing and the ethical thing are not always the same.

In the above case I talked about, the player just basically had to say they no longer had a gambling problem. The 15 or so K they lost (ballpark, it was a couple of years ago, and there were two similar issues going on) said otherwise.

EDIT:

I should have spent a little more time looking. The amount of the player I was thinking of was 3K. Thread here: https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/slots-magic-help-please.67426/?t=67426

There was a lot of stuff at that time when regs were new.

I've started a new thread instead of derailing this one: https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/73720/
