Hello PKRLOVER,

Unfortunately I do not have any time frame for this yet but I assure I will inform you as soon as I have.

The poker world is crying out for a decent place to play atm
Pokerstars have essentially killed their loyalty program and all their focus is on gimmicky promos aimed at casual low rollers and releasing new "poker" formats which are heavily raked and involve a lot more luck than skill . As you know , loyalty programs or rakeback are an even bigger deal in poker than in casino . I rake around $20k+ per year and I used to get at least 30% of that back on pokerstars . Now I get like 5% back in pathetic "rewards" so needless to say I don't rake as much there anymore either
Party Poker is trying to take advantage and they have at least got semi decent rakeback but they don't seem to have much direction / progress in updating and improving their site and schedule
If Videoslots could launch a poker platform with good software , good schedule/game choice , good rewards system and an influx of casual players then they could easily become the biggest/best out there . And of course many poker players also like to gamble other games too ... I know plenty of players who routinely play pokerstars casino just because they have a poker balance on there already . They would be much better off joining up videoslots for their casino play but they don't bother because it's easier and more convenient for them to click on a game on pokerstars whilst they are already playing poker there

Regarding pkr software you should have 2 options 1) The highly graphical display that pkr used to have because a lot of casual playesr loved that stuff and 2) A simpler more functional display for the grinders who multitable and really don't have time / interest for all the "videogame" stuff

Being an independent poker room with the videoslots name is sooo much better than being a skin on an existing network . Like 32red poker could have been big when the casino was huge but they are just another microgaming skin . Willhill is just an ipoker skin . If you can go your own route and design a good site independently then with your solid reputation in the casino industry you could become very popuar imo . I would certainly play there anyway :p
It would be great if it ever get's going. I hope they don't lose the 3D factor though. It was such a fun site to play on and really miss it.

Please don't make spammy posts. We already have a community here - please don't refer folks to other sites. Thanks!

So after 2 years is the return of PKR Poker tossed aside??? I figure Videoslots isn't going to bring this poker site back after all, so sad :(

I'm always trying to gather new news:

Quote from Videoslots to our community yesterday!

"I’m here to finally drop good news & let you know that we did not abandon PKR. The upgrade was not easy but it’s almost finalized.

I will be sharing a demo very soon & would love your feedback!"

Videoslots is currently moving the PKR backoffice into the Videoslots backoffice. They are also working on a 2D client for the web.
With launch of Videoslots Poker product, you will also be able to play the PKR 3D Casino, plus have a downloadable version of Videoslots Casino.
When above is finished, the poker software need to be audited and licensed in each jurisdiction, so it will be released market by market.

So the web version will only be 2D ? Is this going to be a stand alone poker site? I was hoping the web poker site would be 3D like it was before. Sounds like its still quite far off before anything happens. Thanks.

The problem with the 3D was always you needed a half decent PC to run it, and it was clear at the time a LOT of players didn't have fast PCs so having a 2D version is probably a good move to cater for more players. Only a smaller % of people have gaming PCs or fast enough to run it effectively. Time has moved on now so hopefully its more efficient software as well as more people having PCs that can run it better.

Also 3D really slowed the game down which was ok for the casual players, but hardened players wanted to play faster and more hands per hr.

I always thought the attraction to the PKR site was the 3D, it was different from all the rest, but i understand what you are saying and i guess the 2D is the way to go for more players but they had and option for 2D on the original site so not sure how it will be any different now, just hope it comes back ,can you say about how much more time as its been a few years now?? Thanks again.

The answer is yes it will be a stand alone site,
I can also confirm that once you choose an alias you won't be able to change it again.

However no certain date has been confirmed to date.
There is a beta team working on the software and once Videoslots are certain everything is ready and in working order and everything else they need to do. than we may find out when it's being released, which of course would most likely be posted on on there website and business pages 1st.

Alias "PKR" is already signed up and of course im that "PKR" so expect to see Team PKR having fun in our 3D world that Videoslots are reviving in the near future.

Sincerely

@Team.Videoslots hallo, is there any news on 3D poker software ?. Here and out, there is a beautiful community that can't wait to play 3D software, something unique that no longer exists anywhere, will be the top, create your own avatar, talk and make faces at the table is priceless, bring all this to the tables like, I hope for some news, thanks.

Hi @BIRO89,

Thank you for reaching out. We don't have anything new to share just yet, but we are happy to see that many of you look forward to play on the PKR software again. We will make an announcement once we have further information to share in this regard.

Have a nice afternoon.

Kind regards,
Team Videoslots
