I made a small withdrawal via my card yesterday and I was asked for ID. Fair enough but they also want my expired card that I used for years. It was destroyed when I received my new one.
I told them this via email and they now want a statement from bank saying that they asked me to destroy my card. WTF?

Is it not standard you destroy your old one?

Can't be arsed with this tooing and fro-ing.

Emailed the rep on this. See what he says. What a daft request.

Did you never get that card verified at any other casino? I usually check way back sent emails and I've found old ones earlier, that I've sent to other casinos.

If it's a card that was to the same bank account it's stupid of them to ask for it. If it's not the same account then they should ask.

Same bank account. Just an updated card.

I had same when I won £1400 they insisted I needed it and had to go to bank and get them to write a letter confirming I had had the card, their policy is ridiculous.
 
I tried to get my account verified gave up, told me every item gotta be in single documents, send them 1 visa, 1 social security card, 1 driver licenss, thats not single? they spammed me with 6 emails after that to remind me to verify.

Used same documents to get verified at pretty much every danish casino but not V&J so screw that.

I have just looked it took 13 emails to sort it and they sent this:

Good day I am contacting you back from Vera&John regarding the verification of your Account.

Our payments department have confirmed that the document for your utility bill has a low resolution and cannot be processed, please be so kind to send us a better copy. Kindly also forward a official proof that card ****7214 is no longer valid and has been replaced. If you do not hold such proof , kindly contact you bank as they would be able to provide you with this document.

This is totally crap! Had this actually 2 years back at video slots in the end had to dig out an old old statement and show payments to them. Insane.

So its totally Un-reasonable that Vera & John ask you for a card that you no longer have. Your current one should suffice. Sometimes casino go way over board with requirements and always on withdraw
hardly ever on deposit! So get your frustration. But now they have your bank statement they should simply pay you what you are owed without further questions or stalling!
 
I heard about this before so I have kept pictures of my old cards archived on my computer just in case.

Maybe an idea to do this once you shred your old card.
 
Just another case of poor casino behaviour, I'm fed up to the back teeth of them.
They live by there own rules, always will until something is done.
I've got a huge complaint to post at some point that will explain to all why I feel the way I do about casinos, at the moment I'm just concentrating on wording it properly as it involves the highest so called ranked and best casinos on here. Something needs doing about there conduct, it really does.
As the few threads on pending times and reverse withdrawls shows.

Your post came at The right time. I had fraud on my account, had to cancel my bank card, after reading all this I've kept the old card!.. so your troubles have at least reminded me to keep my old card for casino purposes haha!..
Glad your all sorted, I like Vera and John as silly as the name is there a decent bunch!..

This is terrible behavior by the casino. This thread alone has made me never play there again. Talk about stupid stalling tactics and outrageous requests.

Yeah lets go rouse a bank, cause suspicion and be a pain in the ass. If this was me I would be out of luck because there is no way im bringing this garbage attention to my bank.

Awful.
 
They must have been at it last week cos i was asked for verification as well after having been a customer for about 6mths and a few withdrawals the spring that on me.again?
I had it all ready to send them but i thought it very odd.
Doesn't entice me to play again seeing as they are taking such a keen interest in a few hundred quid i managed to withdraw

What was the outcome on this jjezebel37? I am having the same issue, they are wanting the front and back copy of an old card that was lost and reported to bank. Have sent KYC on new card but not good enough. Did you have to wait for the bank to send you the proof through?

They asked me the same thing. It's utterly unacceptable, that's way beyond what they need.
Luckily I kept my old card for reasons just as this, just can't be pestered sending them it yet.
What next?.. fly to Malta with your passport, get a boat to the blue Lagoon, take a selfy of yourself next to the passport then visit the office in person with the photo.
I know why need to protect from laundering etc, but it's getting rather pedantic now.

For some reason I never copied my old card, just never thought anything of it, play at a few sites and yes I have to KYC but not on an old card. You usually tell them the card was lost and they remove it....to say I am majorly annoyed is an understatement. I have emailed the site rep but doubt much will come of it, it sounds like their KYC policy but once I am verified it is doubtful I will ever play there again. BTW I have been to the Blue Lagoon on the Isle of Capri...it wasn't with my winnings from Vera & John though :)

I found an old email with my card details on it but they said I was able to get confirmation from the bank that the old one wasn't being used anymore.
You can also take a screen shot of your bank account were your new card has been used and send that.
 
This sitee i only say waoooow. How could the get so big??? the support is really bad. The lojalprogram is even worse. Deposit 2k euros in a day and get 10euro bonus. O 15 spins aswell with counvalue 0.10 han the dhe wish me good look with a ;). hahah speachless
 
Well...I managed to get a bank statement off line showing I used that card and it was registered to me...they then again asked me to send front and back copies of my card (the one that I had lost) so I had to email them again to say I no longer have that in my possession. I also received an email from the bank confirming that the card belonged to me and that the card was no longer in use. It is currently with their verification team but according to their live help - I may have to send in an actual letter from the bank to confirm the card is no longer in use.

To say I am ****** off is an understatement!!
 
I have sent a private message to the VJ rep but as yet no reply.

I have now sent a bank statement showing both cards being used 1 week apart at VeraJohn...just waiting to hear now.

I have to say VeraJohn was one of my favourite casinos, depositing most days - I am not sure I will play there again.
 
They have replied...they still need proof the card belonged to me, even though the bank statement clearly shows transactions to VeraJohn using that card.

My alternative now is to speak to the bank and request a postal letter as they wont accept an email from the bank.
