Agreed, although I'm sure Caruso puts me in the category of scummy affiliate...

Not really; :) your place on the Dark Side is nicely balanced by the dispute resolution you offer for all the casinos you carry.

Sorry if you found it offensive, Caruso. I didn't specifically name anyone....odd that everyone assumed it was you, eh?

Yes, someone incorrectly assumed that I'd received the Email from you - wrong on both counts. My contributions were limited to comments on the email, then comments on your own comments.

It seems fair, and was done in a courteous and professional way, so what's the problem? AgainstAllOdds, if you were the casino operator, what would you have done? How would you have handled this situation?

The SITUATION - that of notifying a player that he won't be getting any more freebies - is professional enough. The way it was handled wasn't, in this case. And if I may answer the question on behalf of the player: I would have worded the Email differently, in such a way as to convey the same information without the discourteous, pompous and threatening language. Lil' ole me, who's never run a casino, never run a website and knows toss all about that side of things generally. You'd think people of the ostensible "integrity" of this lot could manage the same.

Maybe I'll Email them suggestions for something more acceptable. :)

I still don't see the problem. The casino has decided to disqualify you for bonuses. So what? If it were me (me being the player), I wouldn't give a flying rat's ass since I rarely use bonuses. I feel they cramp my style. I don't like being dictated to which games I have to play, and how much I have to wager or play through. Perhaps you should look at this as a blessing in disguise. :D
Not granting future bonuses is fine, but I have a problem with casinos that consider it acceptable to confiscate bonuses and winnings under the pretext of bonus abuse. It did not happen in this case, but it is in the T&C.

Should you post us we will respond and it will enable all honest players to see how reputable, lenient and fair we are even to abusers such as yourself and how we won't penalize good players by increasing wagering requirements or reducing bonuses just because of a few bad apples.

To me, that is inferring that I am one of the bad apples. Particularly when in they say "abusers such as yourself" in the same sentence. I would have taken it the same way AgainstAllOdds took it.

You say toe-may-toe, I say toe-ma-toe

I guess for the bad apple comment, it's a "if the shoe fits - wear it" sort of thing. I read it as if it were intended for me - but I'm good :D

:what: WTF?

How is this email threatening?

What I would like from VPL is that they send an apology to my friend on behalf of Brian, the Cashin-manager who sent her this email. I still find it rude and offensive and obvious other users of this forum agrees. This will probably never happen.
What I find a bit more disturbing at the moment is my own situation right now; I haven't recieved my withdrawal from VPL yet(I made the cash-in a week ago) and they are not responding to my emails. Well I really do NOT think that this is a proper (NOR professional) behaviour, considering that I have made a single deposit of 5000$.
But then again, players shouldn't expect that online casinos bothers responding their emails, or what? Well I hope they bother paying me...

The bit JPM quoted, directly above your post:

VPL said:

Translation out of casino-speak: "Post a bad word about us and we'll expose you for the abusive liar you are."

I wouldn't personally feel threatened, but I can imagine some peple would be quite intimidated by a statement like this.

I have recieved my funds from VPL now, but I still thinks that the group treats their players in an unprofessional and aggressive way :puke:. Let this be the end of that... Once again thanx to everybody who have made comments in this thread... :notworthy

WTG as usual, Jet. Attack the man, not the message.

Not much else to do in the circumstances - this, nor any other recent one.

I'll confine myself to the facts.

Justify this statement. Total BS.

Like to get me out the picture, wouldn't you? Then you could go on peddling that Ecogra bull practically unchallenged. LOL, ain't gong to happen any time soon.

Just returned to office to find this gem amongst my emails. Caruso, if you confined yourself to the facts you would have considerably less to moan about imo, and I don't have to justify my statement any further than pointing you back to your discourteous attack on Rowmare.

As for getting you out of the way, I think you flatter yourself. In my post urging a more social approach on your part I emphasised that I have no problem with you expressing a contrary and frequently negative opinion - I don't happen to agree with all of your views, or respect your flamer style but you have the right to express them.

It's just a matter of a little personal discipline, as I doubt that you go through life offline like this.

Ok so I am going to chime in here. The first email they sent was the model of courtesy. Then, after they were pressed (read: harassed), they sent out a rude email. Big whoop. This is definately not worth the time to complain about. Please refer to the following examples:

Big Problem: World Hunger
Big Whoop: Rude casino mail

Big Problem: international terrorism
Big Whoop: when you ask them to hold the pickles in the drive-through but they forget.

Big Problem: Global Warming
Big Whoop: pop up ads

Big Problem: Rainforest dissappearing
Big Whoop: belly button lint

Big Problem: Nuclear proliferation
Big whoop: Simon Cowell

Big Problem: Iraq
Big Whoop: Canada

(Ouch! for all you mounties, j/k about that last one, eh?)
I hope you can take this in the light spirit in which it is intended. Seems I can't say anything without being a smart alec. Maybe I should just give you my simple advice : Let it go. It is just going to give you a headache if you stay pissed about it.

Pickles?

Pickles? PICKLES? PICKLES!!??

I SAID NO FRIGGIN' PICKLES!!! :machinegu :machinegu

BELLYBUTTON LINT NOT A BIG DEAL?!?!?!?!?!? ARE YOU INSANE?

So I hope we all remember that when angahar ever runs into issue with a casino to completely ignore it because in the world their are much more pressing matters to attend to.

In the grand scheme of things any complaint about a casino is small potatoes compared to many other worldly issues. So to make a statement like angahar's is to say that this site which helps to better the gaming community is a waste of time as we should all be out trying to end world hunger.

In a business that needs to be based on trust and respect, because it is unregulated, a matter like this is not irrelevent. Treating players with disrespect is something the gaming public should know about so they may be able to make a better informed decision on where to play. I myself would not go to a casino that just because I take them up on a bonus that THEY offer turns around and calls me a bonus abuser.
Cheers

Absolutely. This particular "world" is the "world" of online casinos, and in the "world" of online casinos disrespectful treatment of players is a noteworthy issue. Issues outside this particular "world" are irrelevant.

I've personlly filed away for future reference the arrogant, disrespectful attitude VPL have displayed here, and I hope others do likewise.
