Only 18 days away now until Usyk vs Fury II which takes place in Saudi Arabia on 21st December. Got to hand it to the Saudi's they have completely revitalised top class boxing and this promo below, is IMO the best one ever produced.

I have been following Usyk's career since the Cruiserweight Super Six, what an absolute legend that he is. Fury of course for a man mountain is also extremely skilled. Should be yet again another close fight. I personally cannot wait.

Ha ha that is class. Now all that Usyk needs to do is take a fall then they can line up the deciding rematch :P

Oh... Is it sportswashing, I meant Riyadh Season again?
Couldn't care about that. What I do know is that thanks to Riyadh Season the sport of boxing is now finally getting the fights that the fans crave. Bringing promotion stables and television networks together to put on the fights that matter.

It has been an incredible ride the past 12 months and the card announced earlier this week for February is literally mind blowing. Each fight could headline a card in their own right.

Long may it continue.

*Caveat - I am what is probably known as a hard core boxing fan ;-)

It's completely money-driven, as are most modern sports these days, and so it's inevitable that those sitting on countless amounts of the stuff would eventually dominate the scene.

Much like the Saudi Pro League and whatever else, money talks, even to the detriment of everything else. They'll continue pursuing the best players, offer them ludicrous amounts, and execute sever ties with those they deem crap.....except Gerrard, for some reason, that guy's hanging on on a wing and a prayer!

And when those fifteen disgruntled fans in the crowd start grumbling your name, the writing's usually on the wall 🤔

Whilst Saudi Arabia may not be the natural home of Boxing, nor induce the purist pugilist to abandon the likes of Vegas, to their credit, they are indeed putting on the fights that would take months, if not years to fuse together, with their hospitality and amenities second-to-none, even if in the middle of sand 👌

Flipside being that Boxing's more boring than ever, anyone will fight anyone at the drop of a hat, with fighters barging past their own grandmothers to be there for that sweet Saudi blood money!

All anticipation gone, all hype gone, and professional sporting legacy and accolades negotiable if the price is right. Barring the dominant (yet boring) Klitschko era, there's not really a lot to get hyped over with this crop. And as for the Fury fight, now that his 'aura's' been debunked, it's just a 'meh' from me Bob :D

Occasionally, title fight boxing matches were held in foreign venues, thrilla in manila, and of course Mike Tyson's first ever loss, against Buster Douglas in Tokyo are two examples that come to mind. That was an amazing fight, buster held his own and went toe-to-toe at times.

I think I predict a usyk points victory again, highly doubt they'll be any clean knockout unless Fury is overweight, hasn't trained properly and just wants one last payday.

Even Tyson said, after that recent exhibition fight, legacy means nothing to me (compared to the money I guess).

Have you seen the card announced for February?!?!

This card right there is a hardcore boxing fan's dream!!!

In fact the only thing the Saudi's haven't put on this past 12 months is arguably ( well certainly in my opinion ) the best fight of the year, which appeared on the Fake Paul vs Mike Tyson undercard. That of Katie Taylor vs Serrano. What a war that was.

I'm not saying it's underwhelming or corrupt, but I know Shakur's taking a dive in the 7th 🤷‍♂️

Well yeah, not a good idea in the ring with Philip Schofield.

I'm feeling Fury gets a stoppage in this one after he takes the fight more seriously. The success he had in the mid rounds before having his nose broken is very much overlooked.

If the Fury of Wilder vs Fury II turns up, it will be an absolute shellacking. Question is, did and has Fury vs WIlder III taken too much out of Fury?

But also on the flip side, Wilder is no Usyk. I mean dynamite right hand, but all he could do is windmill for 12 rounds. Usyk is arguably the best boxer pound for pound of his generation - certainly on a par with Mayweather IMO

I don't even think Fury needs to come in that much heavier. He just needs to impose himself earlier this time and not leave his head so exposed.

Usyk has noticably slowed since entering heavyweight which is understandable, but not sustainable.

There has been a poll running on the Boxrec forums, Usyk heavily favoured to get the result.

Usyk also the bookmakers odds on favourite. Fury at 33/1 to knockout Usyk in the 9th though is somewhat jumping out at me.

This is the problem I have when it comes to betting. Letting my heart rule my head, however, I love Usyk, he is an absolute class act, carries himself brilliantly outside the ring and in it. Well his ringcraft to borrow a phrase used by 32Red is Second to None.

Definitely some solid value on Fury. I'm leaning towards round 10 myself.

The winner of the first fight is always heavily favoured in the rematch, but Fury typically performs much better in the rematch as well.

The last time I had anything jumping out at me was when I attended the toilets at some Soho den after visiting someone called Madam Fifi.
