US Players and Casinomeister

don't let the negativity of some get you down. If their asses were in the hot seat, I'm sure they'd have a very different attitiude.

very well put.

Its very easy to be brave with someone else's butt on the line.

At the end of the day its nobody's neck that stands to be in the noose other than CM's, and that alone should be enough for anyone/everyone to respect that fact and really IMHO that is the bottom line and end all.

I'm confused!

:eek2: Since when did it become illegal to exchange information that is part of the public domain? Where did we lose sight of what I understand this bill is proclaiming to control which is U.S. financial institutions' acceptance of funds proferred with the intent or even the SUSPECTED intent of being sent to offshore businsesses for the purpose of gambling via the internet?

Perhaps I've been so U.S. focused for so long I've forgotten that free speech is NOT considered a God - given right in every area of this planet. Or that the Bill of Rights does not apply to the non U.S. citizen or venue. I had held on to the possibility that all was not lost considering the millions if not billions of dollars in potential losses to the internet gambling industry. I actually thought that collective outrage on this global scale would make a difference. And I thought that our strongest advocates, like you, Bryan, would be the one bright stronghold we could rely on to help champion this cause as you have so many over the years, all of lesser impact.

I'm disgusted with the U.S. government policy makers in general on this issue. I think it's ludicrous that these pontificating moralists would DARE tell the working public how they can spend their own money when we have in the last few years witnessed the flagrant and callous disregard for the safety of our children and the unquestioned, assumed sanctity of the Church and its leaders. I remember when there were positions of authority that we taught our children, as we were taught, were above suspicion and could be relied upon. Those were leaders in the church, in government, in law enforcement, our teachers, the neighbor next door. Good God what is becoming of us as a species.??

Perhaps it's the instant gratification we require. Fast food, drive through banking, instant everything that has caused this tendency to jump ship and BAIL at the first sign of something troublesome. My apologies if I'm misinterpreting the intent here, but I'm sick at heart that there apparently is no one left, now, who will step up to the plate. This is my last post. Thanks to everyone, and good night. "Cas"

With these somewhat mixed metaphors the 'Meister won't know his ass from the scruff of his neck, let alone his backbone LOL!

Cas, I can empathise with your frustration, and I hope you will stick around (although your posts would be easier to read with a few paragraphs!) but you should not transfer your disappointment and anger at the US politicians responsible for this crappy law on to Bryan.

He's just doing what he truly feels he has to do, and except for linking Americans to casinos operating despite the politician's ban, all the other great services and information available here remain open to you.

Stick around - this story has a long way to go yet.

Are there any good Playtech casinos currently accepting US players?

Does anyone know any reputable Playtech Casino accepting players from the US pending the 270 wait period for the bill to take full effect. If anyone does please let me know as I love Playtech casinos because of their fast spin in roulette and also because you dont have to place a wager to spin.

There are a few listed here - Mainstreet casinos (Twin Aces, etc.)

More for Simmo's list

Club World Casinos is continuing to accept US players - here's an excerpt from their company statement today:

"With all the sensationalism in the news, you may be wondering how the new bill will affect the ability of players to wager online at Club World Casinos.

"The new Bill did not make online casinos illegal and did not have any legal impact on players; players will not be guilty of an offence under this Bill. The Bill referred to illegal gaming operations, which online casinos have never been proven to be.

"Club World Casinos continue to take USA players, and Affiliates will continue to earn revenue from USA players referred to Club World Casinos."
