I thought a few of these issues might be better served in a post rather that a PM for the benefit of anybody else who may have similar problems.

Last night (1/31/14) UCasino did an update and this morning I was having no luck geolocating. I went to the Chat function and was told I probably needed to update the geolocation plug-in and that a pop-up should have told me this but it did not. It just kept searching and searching but it was never able to locate me.

I deleted the plug-in, cleared cookies, ran registry mechanic, and then did a complete cold restart. I checked to make sure the plug-in was gone and then I went to the casino website and logged in. The same window came up attempting to locate me and could not find me or even notify me that the plug-in was missing.

I have made no changes to my system and I am using a laptop with Windows 7 home version and the Firefox browser. I have tried everything I know how to do and there is still no joy in Muddville!

Also, is the software required to verify my location before every individual wager? I ask this because when my cell phone is only showing 2 bars I seem to get long lag times on the slots, over 10 seconds is not uncommon and disconnects are common. It seems to work better when my cell phone shows 3 or more bars.

This is pretty common in N.J. from what I've read, all of a sudden you can't connect or you get booted. Some of the casinos were giving away free WiFi adapters, that's helped a few but many still get booted or can't connect.

There's a paid support thread at 2+2 that you should look at on this issue, it should help.

Have you had any problems making deposits via your debit or credit card to date with any of the N.J. sites? I'm curious...

I got the geolocation problem squared away and it's working fine now.

This was different than the typical problem locating, the casino wasn't even looking for the location add-on, it was just saying it could not verify my location. I found some more temporary files to delete and eased my security permissions for the casino website and it started working properly again.

To answer P.V.'s question, no, I have had no problem depositing but I do not use credit, only debit. I think that is why I have had no problems.

Sorry to hear you had issues installing the new plug-in, I understand that the process can be problematic, I am glad to hear you got it sorted. Our support team will really try to work with our customers to help with these kind of things, so please reach out to us if you do have any problems.

As to your other point, the system does not try and check your location every spin, when the reels take longer to resolve it is the game client application waiting for the response from the server with the result of the spin. Your location is rechecked by our systems periodically, as set out by the regulations. The time period varies depending on how close to the New Jersey borders you are, so if you live close to the border you have to be location checked every few minutes.

On the subject of credit cards, some of you may have problems depositing as a result of your bank still declining gaming transactions. It really depends on your bank. Again, if you have issues, reach out to our customer support team, they will work with you to try and resolve your problems. All of our team are located in New Jersey and Nevada, and are working hard to really try and understand the problems our customers have. I do have a great new deposit and withdrawal option coming coming real soon which will make things easier for many of you.

Good Luck

This is the trouble with regulations that try to police the internet on the basis of political borders. Customers close to the edge will be prone to problems as sometimes the location check will boot them off the casino in error. A better drafted regulation would base access on the residential address of the player, proven by ID checks, bills, SSN, e.t.c, and not worry too much about them being, on occasion, half a mile into the next state. It also means that players who do not live in NJ can play just by nipping over the border from their own state.

I am sure the super smart "tech nerds" will still find a way around these checks if they can work a scheme by being able to play and appear to be located in NJ at the time.

Even this new plug in is just software, and it can only check data that is presented to it by the device it is installed on. I have heard that even hard coded MAC data on devices can be overwritten with the right knowhow. It's a great deal of trouble to go to just to play a few hands of Blackjack, but there seems to be many players prepared to do this because they have some angle that they feel will ensure profit over the long term, usually related to the promotions.

Players who are not New Jersey residents are fully permitted to nip across the border and play. These regulations are not handed down to New Jersey by the Federal Government, these are New Jersey regulations. In other words, it is not against Federal law for someone located in, say, Pennsylvania to gamble on New Jersey Sites, it is against Pennsylvania and New Jersey law and New Jersey has no jurisdiction to say what is or is not permitted outside our State borders.

That 'better drafted regulation' is not possible.

That is something a lot of people may not understand about our system of Government. Currently, it is legal to smoke marijuana in Colorado. You can go there from anywhere else and smoke away, however, a Colorado resident can't step across the border into Kansas and do it. This system filters all the way down to small municipalities, if Roanoke, Virginia says, "you may not park within 100 feet of a Church" (just an example, I don't know if they do or not) residents from Lynchburg coming to Roanoke may not park within 100 feet of a church and Roanoke residents going to Lynchburg must comply with that town's regulations .

This is hard enough to operate in the real world, but the internet has no real concept of "nipping over the border", it was designed that way. Effectively, these regulations are aimed at "breaking the internet" so that it behaves accordingly depending upon where the computers and devices are located. This is even harder than stopping residents of Lynchburg parking too close to church in Roanoke, which can be enforced by a "no parking" sign and a couple of state troopers. The "sign" already exists for NJ online casinos, it's the "state troopers" that are hard to replicate in the digital world. Geolocation has been one attempt at this, but it's failings have become clear. Your device can deliberately "lie to the iTrooper" and probably get away with it.

It would be far easier to impose the law on NJ residents, no matter where they are at any one time, but of course this would mean out of state visitors can't play by coming into NJ. Imagine Nevada passing a law stating that only residents of that state may play at the casinos in Vegas, and visitors from anywhere else cannot. Big business would not have it, they would lose a fortune from the strip.

It also seems to make crime easier to get away with in the US by playing one state against another when it comes to detection and prosecution.

I can't see why government cant negotiate something at a federal level if they REALLY put their mind to it and compromise.

It all seems to be based on trying to argue a real world model for the internet. The casino is in NJ, and in the real world, one can travel from out of state to play there, yet one CANNOT "travel down the internet highway" to NJ from home to play there in the same way. This is what goes against the concept of the internet, and something the UK government will have to face next year too.

Of course, as with the insanity of digital copyright, we could see obscure legal tests to the rules, such as setting up a massive WiFi hotspot just inside the NJ border, and arguing that anyone who connects to it in order to play is legally in state at the time as that is where the connection is physically located, and is likely to be the definitive location that any plug in will return. Depending on range, players could play a mile or two out of state. Win that argument, and then come hotspot relays. It's where the copyright laws are having trouble in trying to stop free to air broadcasts being relayed from the receiving aerial to more distant viewers. It turns out that if one mini aerial per viewer is set up, the relay is legal, but if it's one master aerial with the signal split among viewers, it falls foul of the law. A company actually tried this, thousands of aerials routed to thousands of mini recording devices, one aerial and device per subscriber, and for a while they beat the big media companies who argued this arrangement was against "the spirit of the copyright act" because it was clearly a convoluted arrangement who's purpose was to circumvent the ban on receiving free to air broadcasts and relaying them to customers.

UltimateJ, any updates concerning the new slot games?

And a quick question, will there be any representatives from Ultimate Gaming at the iGaming Expo in Atlantic City on April 5, 2014?

We are currently testing the integration, then it need sto be approved by the DGE and finally released. I would expect to have the new games out in April sometime.
We will probably have some of our reps at this conference, our customer support team are based in Atlantic City, so at the very least I expect some of them will be there.

Time to slow down on UCasino

at least until a few issues get addressed.

3 card Poker has not been available for about a month, support said they were in contact with SHFL to get it fixed but it's still out. When I get ahead a little I like to play some 3 card poker.

My point meter never shows anything, never has. This is going into the fourth month.

I got an offer for 100% match bonus from $50 up to $500, it gets released $25 at a time after earning 1000 points. $10 wagered earns between .5 and 1.5 points so if I deposit $50 and take the match I would have to wager $10,000 to $30,000 to clear the wagering without the benefit of being able to use the bonus to help clear the wagering. Why bother offering the bonus? Thats 200X to 600X, can anybody actually do that? If you want to give somebody a bonus, give it to them. If you don't want to that's fine too.

Come on Ultimate, I really want you guys to be my place to play but.....

Please disregard my above post, it was just one of those days.

Not at all, there is nothing wrong with a customer telling us they are unhappy with something. I will address your points.

1. I apologize for the issue with 3 card. We have a bug with the shfl games integration where individual customers can get locked out of a game. We are waiting for shfl to apply a fix, and asking them to do it as quickly as possible. These are actually now Bally games after Bally bought SHFL Entertainment, and that takeover is currently in progress.
2. We have a fix for the points not updating, it is in our latest build which is currently with the DGE for testing and approval. We have to have all software changes approved by the DGE before we can release them, this should be fixed very soon, essentially the day after our release is approved.
3. I will check into this and provide this feedback directly to our Promotions team.

Please don't hold back on us, we want your feedback, and are working to improve our product all of the time.

Hello,

I have a question, I'm sorry if it's been addressed and I've missed it.

Do you know when players from other states will be able to play with you? I live in Massachusetts and we currently don't have any land casinos here. I believe we just approved one, it will be built by spring of 2015.

Thank you.

Check out BingoT's latest post here, https://www.casinomeister.com/forum...perspectives-weekly-for-3rd-march-2014.61247/. Sounds like Mass. might be one of the stubborn ones.

Ultimate Gaming will operate anywhere in the US that is legal. As any federal laws look highly unlikely, it means state by state legalization is the only way. New Jersey can only allow people to play within it's borders, Mass.would have to also legalize online gaming for us to legally operate. So I guess it's all up to the politicians.

So in other words, anyone visiting NJ can play online at the few casinos that are beginning to get the a-ok. I wonder where the first Meister Meeting in the states will probably be. :p

Have it right after GIGSE this summer. We can all do the coast to coast and enjoy both oceans :)

Nice new game

Nice work UltimateJ, got the first new game and it's a really good one. Really gonna enjoy Coyote Moon and got a 160X win on my first trial run.

I gotta say the IGT lag is practically non-existant on your casino so kudos there too. Are you going to stick to primarily IGT for slots? If you are that is a-OK by me. Keep up the good work!

Nice win, glad you like the new game. I will have a few more new IGT games coming really soon, so look out for those. You will also have some other new features like a new payment method and the ability to spend bonus money in our games within days.
I also have a new game provider for us about to go into the DGE labs for testing, so a host of new games are coming soon, and plenty more content in the pipeline. We will continue to work closely with IGT, but my goal is to give you guys the widest possible choice of games from all of the major providers, so look out for Amaya, WMS, Aristocrat, High 5, Spin Games, we are working to bring you all of these.

Busy here at Ultimate Casino!

Another new one

Another IGT now available on Ucasino, Day of the Dead. Looks like a different skin for Siberian Storm but seems more stubborn to get to the free spins bonus game. Anyways, every new game is a good one and another step in the right direction.

I am trying to keep the new content flowing for you guys. Check out another new IGT game up today, hope you like this one, I have a steady stream lined up for the next few months.

And there it is, IGT's Diamond Queen. Sweet game with a nice bonus round consisting of 3 free spins with 1, then 2, then 3 wild reels and an extra spin symbol. I am really liking seeing these B&M games on-line.

Keep 'em coming!
