Whine and Moan UKCG casinos verifying players enough to deposit but not withdraw.

Something really odd going on with UKGC casinos the moment. Getting any withdrawals processed keeps ending up like getting blood from a stone!

I had no issues until late last year, I was electronically verified when signing up to various UKGC casinos and allowed to deposit/withdraw £1000's no issue, just the odd bank statement request if the withdrawal played up. i don't think i needed to send ID the entire year.
Now the second I request withdrawal i get hit with an email requesting 1001 verification docs?!? Is this just me experiencing this? All the casino review sites seem to show it is currently a big issue.

Its no biggie, but i am so used to withdrawals hitting my bank with no issue that its a pain to be going back and forwards for weeks with slow to respond casino support trying to give them what they 'need' as 'concerned and responsible' gambling providers. Interestingly this request for docs only happens at withdrawal, never at deposit!

UKGC clearly states that a casino cannot request further verification as a condition of withdrawal if they could have requested it earlier. Yet it seems as though this is exactly what they are doing.

Maybe because they feel no-one would ever sign up with them if they had to send verification docs before depositing? Or maybe trying to find any excuse not to pay?

I take issue with one UKGC casino currently requesting ID from me at the point of withdrawal after they happily got me electronically verified and allowed me to deposit £400 (I can't find my driving licence, but am sorting it). Buried in their t&c's it states they can request verification docs at any point and if a withdrawal is over £2300. This seems at odd with the UKGC rulings?!?

Which takes precedence? Casino t&c's stating they can ask for further verification at the point of withdrawal, or UKGC regs that say a casino cannot withhold a withdrawal based on requests for further verification if it could have been requested.

Ill get the docs sorted, but it winds me up that they verified me enough to deposit and are still sending me promos encouraging me to deposit and play but wont process my withdrawal until i jump through every hoop!

They can indeed ask for verification at any time, but cannot stall a withdrawal because of it. That said, some are a law unto themselves, as we know.

The only "no-no" as far as the UKGC is concerned it seems, is failure of responsible gambling or money laundering controls. They don't give a shit about players getting paid on time.

Thanks! I may crank up the pressure on them to stick to the UKGC rules. It is a nice little payout and i could do with it now rather than in a few weeks.

I currently have three pending withdrawals at LeoVegas.

Account blocked after approving a card for deposits, took the deposits and then locked account again after requesting withdrawals following two deposits. I won't be letting this one go, have the bit between my teeth.

Several attempts at speaking with support, giving misinformation and leading to card verification of the four cards they have on their system - some of which have not been used since the dawn of the Leo account. All cards have been submitted for verification but am being ignored.

Awful customer service from a company I would expect more from.

Similar exp with Dr Bet - 6 months of using a card, never asked for copies (still don't know why the likes of Sky/WH never ask for this but others do), presumed they were like SV/WH and didn't ask, and then, get asked for it (expired as well but kept a copy of it) when go to take the money out.

Oddly, some casinos appear quite adept at quoting the LCCP regarding doc requests but conveniently forget the 'don't use requests to delay if could have been asked for sooner' bit

As for Leo - crap casino. Issues in the past with them where, what i thought was just incompetence, ended up with them lying - maybe a mixture of both, will never know.

I have had no issue with Virgin Games or Coral. Genesis casino are really making life hard though.

Like you say Pin the casinos love quoting specific LCCP regs out of context... And the 'we are obliged to carry out necessary verification checks on our players at any stage'... Only they only feel 'obliged' to do so when you ask for a withdrawal, not when you deposit. It really is not on.

The UKGC has been a massive failure. They have failed the players they were meant to protect... dismally. They are more concerned with autoplay and issues that do not even benefit the average player.

They are probably aware of the tricks casinos are pulling but turn a blind eye. I can't wait to see them actually fulfill their mandate and take one of these stallers to task...

It certainly seems that way. I hate the thought of so many lining their pockets behind the scenes at the pitiful way the UKGC regulations are either misapplied or simply not enforced.

I am still battling with Genesis Casino. They have now halved my withdrawal from £4000 to £2000 as it was acquired through a bonus. I have to admit, this was in the t&c though I never saw it.

After confiscating £2000 they then withdrew the remaining £2000 back to my playable balance which I am sure they are not permitted to do once a withdrawal has been requested as per the UKGC. They probably hoped I was going to stupidly blow it.

Their t&c's state that any withdrawal over £2300 requires additional verification (though they are happy for you to deposit over this!). My £2000 withdrawal is now less than that but they still won't process the withdrawal despite me being electronically verified AND they are still sending me promos trying to entice me to deposit with them!

Not only do Genesis have the house edge and charge for withdrawals but the UKGC allow them to have the bogus verification issues to stall payments. I wonder how many just give up. I now have no option but to pay £85 for a passport, god knows how long that will take.

I am glad in the Netherlands they legalize online gambling now! A couple of days a go I won 10k in a online casino in Holland I got the money the same day that’s how it suppose to be! So bye bye to al the shady casinos that try and fuck you when they have the chance.
