U.S. is back.. wooohooo

What would you say your experience has been like? How would you compare IGT to RTG?

Can you see huge difference in terms of cash-outs, playing time, graphics, and the frequency of features?

Can you see RTG withstanding the test of time now that the USA has opened it's doors to other game providers? I ask specifically in regards to RTG because apart from 3 Dice and Rival (which I quite like myself) I think that RTG would have been a more popular choice as the USA didn't have many other softwares to choose from. I know that Inetbet has already branched out to Europe. What is your opinion?

I wish I could play IGT :(

By far the biggest difference is the freedom of choice to deposit and withdraw whenever and whatever amount I want without the draconian fees or the fear that my bank would give me a hard time.

As far as gameplay, I think the features come up more often and pay more in general and my playtime has increased significantly. I have played practically everyday, deposited probably around $500, and withdrew almost $300. All my withdraws have been in the last week-and-a-half, so I am getting the hang of it and I see a bright future for a low roller like myself!

I think the RTG's and Rivals and others will be around the US for quite a while still because as of right now we only have 4 states (out of 50) with legally bound, State endorsed on-line casinos. I can't see any reason why anyone who lives in New Jersey would play anywhere else, with the exception of 3Dice which I consider so far above all the other choices we had here before. Unfortunately for me, in a state of frustration and stupidity, I self-excluded from 3Dice for a year:what:.

I think that within a year or so we will have the best on-line casinos in the world.

I realize that's a bold prediction but there is nothing holding us back. Many of the great game providers are based here in the US including Bally, IGT, and WMS and the other biggies are definitely US friendly and I'm sure they are chomping at the bit to get all their games available to us.

Right now the graphics and smoothness of play of the games are not great but I think that is chiefly the result of these casinos not wanting to invest a whole lot of money until they see if it is going to take off. The first monthly report will be very interesting.

Overall my feelings can be summed up simply, I feel Liberated!

We have one BIG barricade preventing online gambling in Florida, IMO...
1.) The American Indians

Disney may have an influence somewhat towards online gambling but I know that Disney
heavily influences B&M casinos in or around Orlando.

Yep we do, I live here in Florida and I absolutely refuse to go to the Indian casinos. Went once and will never go back. Everything was so tight and even the tables weren't customer friendly unless you were a high roller. There are a couple of casinos in South Florida, like the ones at the racetracks etc BUT they aren't allowed to have "Vegas" style slots. Right now only the Indian Casinos are allowed to have them along with the table games with the live dealers. I think the fight to bring online gaming as well as more gaming to more states in the form of land based non-indian gambling is going to be hard fought and blocked by the tribes. They are making out like bandits now and if they start having to compete with other operators they aren't going to like it. They have pretty much a monopoly now and are not going to be happy if and when the online gaming starts nationwide ... I am so hoping that we do get it legalized for the whole country and that there will be several operators to choose from except just one or two. I would gladly pay taxes on any winnings if I knew that I would never have to fight for a payout again. Land based operators may feel threatened by the online gaming BUT they shouldn't be as people are still going to go on vacation and I don't think it will hurt their business much. But the Indian Casinos are another story .... online gaming and allowing other operators to have the same things that they do in terms of table games, slots, poker with the same limits is going to be interesting. I, for one, will be happy when the monopoly is over, at least down here!

Happy you are enjoying our casino

We will be adding new deposit and withdrawal methods over the coming weeks and months, and of course we will also be adding lots of great new Game content. Watch this space.

played the demo of Star Trek and Ghost Buster really liked it too bad I am not in New Jersey to play for real

I would not be surprised if the had to be recompiled for the usa market. Perhaps that is why the line up is limited.

Unlike the online slots, any land slots I ever played ever went hundreds of spins without a bonus feature.

You should be looking at your personal identifiable information document request methods, rather than email and the Zendesk email ticketing upload system currently in place.

Are you aware Zendesk was hacked last year, that Zendesk support has access to player documents when using their site?

On the up side - I will say that I've read where your support surpasses all the other U.S.A. casino's recently launched, so a thumbs up for that.

Compared to the way I used to have to jump through hoops to deposit and/or withdraw, there is no comparison.

I can deposit as little as $10 without running around trying to find a place to load my card and I pay no deposit fees from my regular bank debit card (which is gladly accepted) or the casino. I can cashout with no fees from the casino and I don't think my bank will charge me because it will not be a 'wire' just a transfer, but I will fill you guys in on that when my first cashout hits my bank.

Just a quick note, just because you don't live in NJ does not mean you can't open an account at any of these new casinos. You can register and look around to see what is available. This way if you ever come to NJ for vacation or just to visit our lovely state (lol) you will have an idea where you might want to try.

i thought u had to actually live in nj to register and play in their online casinos...also what r the names of the new casinos..where we can download nj casinos

You only have to be within the State borders to actually wager real money. You should be able to register your account from your home then skip across the border into NJ, find yourself a wi-fi hotspot (don't forget to bring your cell phone along) and deposit and play.

Just curious, if you hit a jackpot of more than $1199 do you get a W2G tax form?

That IS a good question. I suppose since even before you take one spin, you need to positively provide your identity to the casino, then the casino probably coordinates with the IRS/state tax authorities, so that if you fail to declare it, they will know.

Rep should reply to this, BTY all questions are good moving forward in the U.S. market. :)

Does anybody know if this is trending toward being a total US legalization or do the individual states have to vote and pass the legislation? I would hate to be stuck somewhere where the "tight old farts" are in control of deciding how we, as individuals, want to spend our hard earned cash. I don't understand why they just don't legalize it for the entire country and whomever wants to participate can and whoever doesn't want to participate won't. I have noticed that when any type of gambling legislation has come up in our state, it is always the people between 65 and death that vehemently oppose any type of legalized gambling because they think that it is going to "ruin" their neighborhood by bringing more crime and producing more "addicts" ... well, I've got news for them, once an addict always an addict and as far as crime goes, there is already so much crime running rampant from gangs, drugs and everything else that legalizing gambling should be the least of their worries. Geez, some people just don't get it ... Casinos bring "jobs", they bring tourist income, which benefits everyone in the end. Sometimes the ignorant mentality just amazes me.

W2G

Just curious, if you hit a jackpot of more than $1199 do you get a W2G tax form?

Yes, the process is similar to the one you find in a casino. If you have a win that exceeds a certain threshold that is defined by game type, some games the amount is more than $1199, you will not automatically be paid the winnings, and the casino has to withhold the tax and a W2G must be submitted. You will be paid out the win minus the tax.

Here's the NJ regulation

A casino licensee offering Internet or mobile gaming shall
comply with all Federal requirements including, but not limited
to, suspicious activity reporting and W2-G reporting.

The Tenth Amendment of The Constitution states, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." Gambling laws are a State issue and must be decided State by State just like drinking age, capital punishment, drug laws and marriage laws.

Even the much maligned UIGEA does not outlaw any kind of gambling, it merely states that financial institutions are not to process transactions to known internet gaming sites where such gaming is forbidden under State law.

And now that there's legal U.S. gambling within the states, this law will stay in effect UIGIA until changed.

Most states offering legal iGaming are seeing denied transactions by the groves.

I'm kicking around a solution, checking with legal, bank sponsors, hopefully I can get it approved.

Stay tuned if I get a legal green light. :)

Take NJ for example, according to NJ law it is legal to gamble only at online casinos that are being offered by the established Atlantic City casinos. I would expect banks in NJ to still deny transactions to other casinos.

As far as I know there are certain credit cards that are being denied when used where they don't conflict with NJ law but these are not being attributed to the UIGEA. These are decisions by the Banks themselves, they have cited possible examples of where, for example, an underage player uses a credit card and when found out the actual card holder refuses to honor that debt and leaves the bank losing. I think it is probably within the Bank's rights to make their own policy concerning extending credit for these types of transactions. Personally, I was never a big fan of people being allowed to gamble with borrowed money but that is just me.

I believe all debit cards are working here for lawful NJ gaming.

Several of the casinos are offering their own branded cards.

Funny story, I applied for one from Borgata and I ordered it with $20 preloaded. The day before I received the card in the mail I got an e-mail from them saying, "Congratulations and Thank you for activating you new card." Right away I assumed someone had gotten it instead of me and activated it, I'm thinking identity theft and whatnot.

I called their CS number on the phone and got an automated menu; press 1 for this, press 2 for that, etc. or press 0 to speak to an agent. With a potentially serious problem like this I did not feel like wading through the menus so I pressed 0 and explained the situation and was assured the card had not actually been activated.

Next day I get the card and I go on-line to activate it and I find my balance only $17. Turns out they charged me $3 for not going through the automated menu! With a problem they caused! Eventually they agreed to return the fee but I told them to cancel the card and send me my $20 back as I thought even considering to charge me in this instance shows me there is nobody with a brain monitoring these things.

I will have to say, the Borgata site has been the worst one so far, their CS sucks and way too many disconnects during game play. So far I like the Golden Nugget site the best due to their game selection, excellent CS and stability.

Word to UltimateJ, get more slots and you will be my favorite site. cough,cough,WMS,cough....

It seems to be across the board and will take a few years to get ironed out for sure.

I found an interesting article here on the credit cards site:

We are working on getting more content, you will see some more as soon as we have completed the integration we are doing right now.

The reason why there is limited games available is all of the game producers are having re-certify all of their software, back ends and all games, through the NJ DGE. They are also having to make changes to the games to comply with the NJ regulations. This even applies to companies like IGT who have their games certified and being played in Europe for years. It is proving to be a slow an onerous process, but we are working to bring you more games as soon as they are certified and legal to use in New Jersey.
WMS games, I hear you, although that isnt the integration I am doing right now, they are on my to-do list.
