Does anyone have experience with TonyBet? I won a large chunk of money there and now, despite my account being fully verified before hand, they are delaying payment to me.

I don’t know what to do. When I asked why my withdrawals were not being sent to me they sent me an email saying this: “
Please be informed that as per Betting Regulation we do reserve the right to check the withdrawals which are bigger than €3000:

2.4.5. The Operator will carry out additional verification procedures and the identification of the Customer will be checked for any withdrawal or number of withdrawals which cumulatively amount to or exceed the equivalent of EUR 3,000 and The Operator reserves the right to carry such verification procedures in case of lower withdrawals. All transactions will be checked to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing.

We would like to apologise and let you know that as soon as information is checked we will get back to you.”

When I was losing they weren’t concerned about me financing terrorism. But now that I won I guess that’s become a top priority?

Does anyone have experience with them and if they do pay you out?

had a couple of Withdrawals 2 years ago that were done within 24hs iirc.
first ever WD at any casino, for any amount, can also sometimes take longer than any future withdrawals that follow it.
perhaps you should message them on chat m8. (wouldn't get ya hopes up with the phone service though, i tried it once at 2am.. got greeted with a sigh followed by a "hello" , as if i woke someone up who was pissed off that id disturbed him. said my piece, and without a word in response then got transferred to another number which just rang until it went dead).

so yeah, id get on chat and also give them a little more time, though they may likely just ask you to be patient while the payments department check things over since its a first WD and has also hit the 3k amount, which, at many casinos they also have similar things in check once withdrawal(s) reach a similar amount as the 3k stated there.

that email looks like just an automated response from someone who couldnt be bothered to look deeper/contact payments department and find a more accurate answer, and they might now need to ask you for sperm sample or something.

Few people here do/have played there, including myself, and i personally cannot remember anyone complaining about not being paid (though my memory isnt the best!)

Forgive me as English is not my first language. Very much thank you for the response.

I’ve spoken to their live support and they are really unhelpful unless you want to deposit.

Live chat said to contact payments@tonybet.com

When I contact that, they wrote me that message above despite being fully verified beforehand. They investigate me and delay due to terrorism??? When I lost 80% of my balance there was no such talk. What worries me is that it is a large balance I have on there and afraid they just steal it. I was able to hit some big lucky sidebets (finally) and win a big money very lucky.

When I losing 80% of my balance they had without problems for me.

Now I won there is problems even though I was told my account had been verified and that I was fine to withdraw. They have not said anything except what I wrote so far above. But it’s frustrating for me because they had said my account was okay for withdrawal, and now when I win they stall and say things are not okay and have to “investigate.” Just seems to me to be stalling.

Might help if you said exactly how much you are withdrawing.

They are not accusing you of financing terrorism. I am guessing it is a large amount that you are withdrawing. A lot of casinos will do checks and withdrawals take longer if a withdrawal is large.

Also with all the new regulations kicking about everywhere casinos are doing more checks. It states clearly in their terms that they will do advanced KYC once a threshold of £3000 has been reached . It looks like you will just need to be patient and wait for finance team to get back to you and let you know if they require anything from you or if the withdrawal is now getting processed.

Hiya..i have never won any amt. thats over a £1000 at Tonybet, but all my prior withdrawals has always been paid quickly. So..wait till they reviewed your withdrawal, i'm sure u will get your winnings.GL:)

The problem that upsets me is that I deposited 7500€ and there was no issue of “financing terrorism” or other such accusations, and no investigations.

So in other words put as much money in your account as you want onto the website. If you lose that’s great. If you win, they have to stall and delay as much as possible. Sure, I get it. That’s how these companies operate but it still doesn’t make it right.

Listen they are obliged by law to carry out KYC checks and as you have despoited a large chunk of money and no doubt won a large chunk these checks will take a bit of time.
Chill out if you have nothing to hide you will get your money don't be going back on and reversing the withdrawal.

That is fine. I respect the KYC process. What I do not respect is being ignored, not explaining to me what they’re doing, or when they will be likely to finish this “investigation.” I don’t even understand what they are investigating? They haven’t asked me for any additional documents or anything. It’s just been complete silence from their side and total lack of communication.

This type of customer service where you just ignore a customer who won while you supposedly carry out some super secret KYC check (what are they even checking?) is not acceptable. I don’t think a timeframe, or at the very least my deposit returned is asking too much.

If they have any suspicions, they are legally obliged NOT to tell you anything. They’ve told you they’re reviewing it, which is normal. Anything else could class as tipping off if they suspect fraud etc.

Lmao. Imagine ISIS these days playing online and withdrawls straightly being funded into weapons and other online shit activities. Come'on, the guy is verified, everything that's bin asked is provided. Pay him the damn funds.

Thank you. I was very sure BEFORE I started playing that they had every document, and every single part of my information that they wanted so that I could easily cash out. They said I was good to go and fully verified.

Now that I won, to say they suspect I’m funding terrorism? I mean, does anyone really think that’s for real? Obviously this is a stall tactic in hopes I lose the money back to them which I am not doing. So they can continue the games but nothing is going to happen.

But it’s not only that. They can play these games with me and pretend they’re investigating whatever they want to investigate, there is nothing to find. But it would be nice if they could at least just communicate with me and give me a time frame for how long this fake investigation is going to take? A week? Two? Three?

Just not answering anything I write isn’t professional in any way at all. I have been fully cooperative, given them all documents requested, and have nothing to hide. They don’t have to tell me what their fake investigation entails, but at least give me a timeframe. C’mon...

Some casino's could stall so you would cancel your withdrawl, continue playing on and finally lose everything. In that case it would cost the casino nothing and they'll actually be laughing their asses off because the stalling worked.

So if i was you, dont touch the withdrawl proces at all. Give them some reasonable time to inspect anything that needs to be inspected, but keep an eye open man. Contact them the moment they dont get in touch with them again.

Thank you. I’m not giving anything back, trust me. I’m not touching the account because what’s the point? If I’m not gonna be paid then when I win while playing, I’m not actually winning. So I won’t play until they start to process withdrawals. It would actually be in their best interest to cash out my weekly 15,000€ limit so at least I know they are legitimate.

Usually their best interest is with some rogue casino's completely abandoned. There is a risk your account could be closed without notification. That's in their TCA's n shit and it perfectly covers them to not pay you your winnings out. I hope for the best for you man. But some online casino's have an awefull reputation.

That’s why I was hoping someone could shed light on TonyBet. From what I understand they have a UKGC so I thought they were legitimate.

Nobody uses TonyBet? I did my research before and they were bought by a very reputable betsson group in 2009 and have a UKGC so I assumed it was safe to play there.

So what message does the the 3k KYC threshold send out. Looking at it logically it’s saying to me up until the point you withdraw 3k or more we only have to be fairly sure who you are, beyond this point we need to know for sure.

With all the RG stuff around surely there should be 1 verification only and it should be done from the beginning. That would give players assurance that when instances like this occur that they are getting paid at normal speed.

I have to agree with the OP. He was allowed to deposit extremely large amounts without a problem so why wasn’t a SOW or advanced verification asked for then as I would class that sort of money as way above the normal deposit but no as he says no questions asked when you are losing.

Certainly. Are people on here seriously thinking casinos are having some serious FBI “investigating” or something? It’s quite clear to me it’s a stall tactic and excuse they can use to stall payouts. Good for them, they are scummy.
