Just a quick bye-bye thread to everyone here- gambling is no longer fun for me, there's no excitement just a sickening, ominous dread as balances invariably fall.

Blew $15,000 last night.

For anyone out there wondering if they may have a problem; you probably do- just try not to leave it until you're 36 with a 1 month old baby and blowing your savings in an evening before admitting it like I did.

All the best guys.

Aw man that is terrible to hear!!!!
I am really sorry to hear this.

Maybe this was just a wake up call that you needed man!!
You say you have a young son, focus all your energy on him and on your partner when applicable.
Take this as a lesson and the next time you feel the urge to gamble think of last nights events and how that made you feel.

And I am with you and many others on this forum - Online gambling has changed and still is changing and most slots nowadays are just money suckers, huge bagless hoovers that suck you dry.
I have huge problems with the way for example BTG puts their slots on the market, relentless vile unrealistic and in no way enjoyable for the average player.

Even brands like WMS have sunken into a swamp of useless crappy slots under the SG flag.

So I feel ya and I really hope you will recover from this man!!

I wish you good luck and as a father I can only say, focus on your boy, there is nothing better in the world than spending some quality time with your kids, before you know it they are big and grown up.

Mark.

Ah man. I've enjoyed your pushbacks against the flat earthers. Shame to lose you.

I think I'm not far behind either to be honest. Perhaps we all are and we just don't know it yet.

Good luck

Sorry to hear, had my own tilt sessions that leave you feeling awful afterwards before. Out of interest, what stakes/games were you playing to reach that loss?

I don't mean to sound harsh but a new baby and you didn't think about it's needs whilst frittering away your life savings :eek2:

It's not meant as a criticism but more to give you a good kick up the jacksie and make you focus on what is important in life - kudos to you that you admitted to yourself you had a problem and I genuinely hope you stand by your recriminations and this makes you stop gambling, please don't chase in the hope to gain back some of your losses.

I wish you all the best and fingers crossed this will be the turning point in your life.

So sorry to see you go and the horrible events of last night. But we are virtual friends. The real world is now calling you! Enjoy your new found freedom and family and let us, casinos and anything related be a distant but learning experience!

It could of been the stress of being a new parent that made him panic and tilt :)

There are no excuses for it Bebo, new parent or not, he has responsibilities and gambling took priority - to me that should be a BIG red flag to him to cease forthwith. I am not a harsh person, I give people the benefit of doubt but sometimes you have to put the truth in cold light for people to sit up and take notice, not pussyfoot around them.

True. That is alot of money. I'm trying to grasp how that much can be spent in one night and nothing back.

I saw your post in the other thread. I think it's great that you can admit to having a problem and take the decision to quit. I'm sorry to hear about your financial loss, but in the grand scale of things the peace of mind and happiness with your new baby that it leads to will be priceless I'm sure. Have a good life :)

although I dislike deposit limits, if you've got access to substantial funds I think it is essential to have them in place even if its a large limit of say £1k, at least it does protect if you start to chase losses, which is where most of the damage is done imo. $15,000 / £8,000 is a wounding loss in 6 months let alone 1 night. I'm the best part of £5k down this year at min stakes, so sometimes enough is enough and the spinning reels must come to a stop.
