Time to call it quits.

Just a quick bye-bye thread to everyone here- gambling is no longer fun for me, there's no excitement just a sickening, ominous dread as balances invariably fall.

Blew $15,000 last night.

For anyone out there wondering if they may have a problem; you probably do- just try not to leave it until you're 36 with a 1 month old baby and blowing your savings in an evening before admitting it like I did.

All the best guys.

Gambling only can for fun only

Well I thought I'd make myself feel better by playing for fun money and seeing how much I'd "save" by not gambling.

It did not go according to plan.

Yeah, because Demo Play & Real Play are intrinsically-linked, and so indicative of how a game really plays

What you're seeing is a Jackpot-esque hit that would have taken many more $6 bets back in the real world. Are you that enamoured with slots that you can't stay away from them, especially given this thread?

Well that is that devil on your shoulders mate.
Believe me, I nearly always seem to hit big when playing for fun but I also play higher bets just to see what I would have won in real cash. Mostly 5-10 Euro spins.
Man, the amount of big wins is amazing.
I was told if it was real play it would have played out the very same but I do not believe that tbh.

That's not the only thing that is not going according to plan.

You said you won't be in the forum for 3 months. It didn't even last 3 weeks. Nor 2.

You would quit gambling, but play $ 1000 bonus money with $ 7,50 a spin and play in "fun modus".

I think like this the problem will just be the problem as soon as you have some money again.

It might sound a bit harsh, but you really need a bit more of discipline. Or at least the discipline to get some help for your gambling problem.

Sounds like you need to find another hobby to occupy yourself when you've got some free time, otherwise your mind is just going to keep going back to gambling. If you just try to "quit" with nothing in its place, your mind is going to go right back to the casinos, like it's clearly doing now.

You probably have some addictive personality traits. Not just based on the gambling, but the thought process of "well i'll just try play money" then posting the picture three times in 5 minutes. A pure gambling addict would probably just be drawn to the money, an obsessive or ADD type person would still involve themselves with their obsession while telling themselves it's okay because it's not risking money (until another activity replaces it). I'm not sure if those traits can (or should be) cured, but you might be able to find something else to occupy them. (Those traits can be useful if aimed at a productive purpose, but obviously can cause problems.)

If the above sounds at all accurate, could be worth considering if you've got some ADD issues to manage, with knowledge or psychological help or medication or whatever it takes, but of course those are conclusions based on some pretty limited info. If all goes well, maybe you'll never see this post, but that seems unlikely. I'm sure it sucks to be in this situation with a new child, but you still have to put some time and effort into your own mental and physical well-being or the results will not be good for anyone.
