Some of you will surely remember my thread (now located in the quit gambling thread), "This is the end for me". I had an evening, or should i say evenings, that was some of the worst in my life. I managed to rise up from that, and gambled a little more "serious", though with a few hiccups. But i learned some lessons...

Some while after my mother got diagnosed with brain cancer..it happened so fast and it destroyed me. Everything that could go wrong went wrong..

And when the test results came back it was the worst form of cancer...uncurable. Not one tumor, but two, located in the worst possible parts, memory and speech centras of the brain. I think the only member i spoke to about this was Tirilej, and maybe i did mention it to a few more aswell.

Long story short, she went through cytotoxin, the tumors continued to grow, she went through chemo, and after the chemo the doctors wouldnt do anything more. Case closed..it was just to wait until she gave up. My sister wanted other things..she started to look around on the internet about private clinics in Germany.

Long story short again...my sister and a friend of hers and my mom went to Germany. For a 4 week treatment on a private clinic that we all paid around 30.000 euro for.

They specialises in brain tumors, the went through something called hypothermia, where you force the body into "fever state". They gave her vitamins, took out blood and made it more "oxygenic" And put it back in. It all came down to make her immune system stronger, that was all that mattered. She has been home for 3 months now and we had to ask for an x-ray ourselves.

The plan was to send the scans down to germany to have the doctors take a look at them and make a statement. as the case was closed here in Sweden.

BUT, 2 days ago the doctor she last spoke to called her up and told her that BOTH tumors had shrunk significantly in size.

I coudlnt believe it..i was at work at the time and broke down and cried. I had been sooo sceptical about this, very expensive but it was worth a try.

But it also made me very pissed of. Sweden - You just have to wait until its over. While the doctors in Germany, they had a worst case scenario, and they said that worst case scenario is that we wont get rid of everything but she will still get many more years of quality life.

While Sweden only offered bad and toxic methods, the clinic in Germany made a toxic free treatment in 4 weeks and it saved her life. And im so thankful that my sister is such a persistent and "take no bull" kinda person.

We will still send the scans to Germany to get a more advanced statement. We all have to pay for this visit (clinic) a long time, but can you imagine that its muuuuuch easier now that we have a positive result? =)

Im so happy right now and the future is alot brighter. F*ck you cancer!

Just wanted to share this story ;)
