Thinking of going all in?

It's a destructive and emotional rollercoaster, when you lose. But nothing can be so severe not wanting to live anymore.

it will take a few days to settle in and "calm down". And perhaps this is a good moment to consider professional or serious help. Look at it at the bright side: you've accomplished obtaining 200k in live savings in the first place. Losing that gives you another shot at perhaps becoming more succesfull with something else in life.

You have to understand that most gambling products these days are just designed to exploit human weaknesses. Understand that and you can battle any form of addiction to be honest. I wish you the bests. Ive made your initial post somewhat highlighted on <snip>to warn others about "stepping in with a all or nothing mindset"

I'm pretty sure this reckless behaviour is for a great portion due to the reckless betting strategy of streamers with their fake funds and zero financial loss.

Yeah, well, i hope you get over it. The representation of these guys doing 100k buys, is basicly with zero financial loss. As shown before these streamers are getting funded by most of the casino's, which means the money they play with is'nt theirs. So would you even consider the risk of losing if the money was given to you for free? I dont think so.

Ive done some 10k buys here and there, 100 euro bet spins here and there, but i'd say the streak of winning is'nt near as close as these clowns present. Streamer accounts for some reason are always on steroids. And you have to understand that everything is designed to, well, extract you from your money asap. Consider getting some help, or at least a timeout.

I'd be lying if I didn't say I'd just been watching some guy do $100,000 feature buys.
A litre of vodka didn't help matters either.

A perfect example of a very greedy industry. This in any shape of gambling, even for the highest of hi-rollers should NEVER be doable

A most odd and concerning thread, if true. These things usually happen with small losses escalating into bigger ones and finally a blowout as a gambler tries to chase those losses. In this case it was all premeditated. Best wishes to the OP for a full recovery.

"Well, life is gay anyway"

Life is indeed Fabulous and Spectacular,
Neon Claws was using the term "gay" as in carefree and fun, not as a term to describe an LGBT etc. lifestyle. And he was being sarcastic about this since he was feeling absolutely shattered. It has nothing to do with an insult or anything derogatory in any sense.

I grew up in the San Fransisco bay area in the 60s - 70s, lived in the gay district of San Diego in the 90s, have gay family members, and am very in tune to the LGBT etc. community and understand how language can affect folks. So I do understand completely about the power of language - but this "gay" is not your gay.

The most alarming thing here is this thread is the destructive behaviour of one of our cherished members. I wish that would be the focus here, not an issue about an unintended unpleasantry. :D

"Well, life is gay anyway"

Life is indeed Fabulous and Spectacular,

To be fair the LGBT does not own the word 'gay' and every one of the various definitions it has such as colourful, happy, ridiculous (if you have teenage kids!) or homosexual. Maybe there's a valid shout from LGBT etc. about the use of it in certain contexts regarding sexuality, but the rest - no.

Any more than the BLM movement owns all the definitions of 'black' and decides whom shall use them and when.

Mutual understanding stems from acceptance of the views of other groups, not trying to compete with them.

To me, the real pain in this thread is seeing the actions of the OP, not umbrage taken over one word not used in the context umbrage was taken

Man screw streamers. You got lads putting up this bullshit on the internet:

Wrong-gambling.jpg

"I spend my entire paycheck on bonus buys"

Got people thinking it's possible to start betting your complete paycheque now in order to win with gambling. Cant people see the more and more harmfull and bullshit spam appearing now on youtube and such?

On the previous page I mentioned the use of the BetBlocker app. Since then, Duncan the Founder and Trustee of BetBlocker, has kindly put together some FAQ's concerning how it actually works and what it does, which we have published here: BetBlocker
I did check it out when you mentioned it and saw the FAQ and had a read through but since I used to work in IT these things are always trivial for me to bypass in one way or another.
At the moment I'm just putting the router and phones under my wife's bed at night and will send my crypto key to my dad's house whenever we finally get over the Chinese Bat Flu which we also just found out we have.

I'm also considering ditching the phone throughout the day.. been considering that for awhile even without taking into consideration the gambling.

In the end from the two casinos I was playing that night I deposited about $150,000aud, $140k at the shodiest one and 10k at the slightly less shoddy. The 140k won virtually nothing but $415 cashback. The 10k I had $27k balance (and $100 cashback) before passing out that morning. They reversed the withdrawal the next day because my utility bill was more than three months old. Then the wife got COVID and ethereum crashed and I gambled again but managed to get the balance to $74k... So pretty much half back what I started with.
They pay $10k a week so it's going to be incredibly tough to extract that without getting weak and stupid at any point.

Anyway, since I'm banished to The Biggest Losers area here now I'll miss chatting with you lot. Well most of you. At least I finally won't have to read anymore threads about how slots are rigged.

I know it's kind of the most boring and difficult thing todo, but try to stop gambling for a while. Seriously.

200k loss and even your savings, thats not good. I mean there's people comitting suicide over that really, or live a double life for quite some time untill the curtain falls down. Take it easy.

What the hell? You ought to be thanking me. You have the non-gambling sections of the forum to participate in to include The Attic. Plenty of chatting going on in there.

Why are you still playing at these sites when most of these places have either rigged games or have no safety nets in place? Stop chasing your losses and let things be.

Well gambling was never and should never be considered a way to make a stable income. Because the odds and the way you could predict the outcome, is made as difficult as possible, and thus purely a game of chance. Overall you will lose. Knowing this, you still think it's fun to play or to win money at casino's?

For all we know we could have hotstreaks today, and be sacked in the next 6 months due to "volatility" which is in my opinion a utterly bullshit. I'm pretty sure game maths are made in such a way that we can expect certain simularities in relation of bitcoin for example. You got the shit period and the hot period. Just like alcohol, tabacco and even sex, know your limit.

I think you overshoot that last sentence by dropping in 200k (!) into a crypto casino, just because you saw a shit streamer who has zero financial loss to his (fake) actions. At the end of the day those guys laugh it off because it was'nt their money in the first place. They just demo that stuff for you and other suckers to fall for the same mouse-trap these casino's are.

Seek help. Below this thread is a "Simular threads" thing with at least 3 threads started by your own. I dont like seeing what i see there and i'm pretty sure you need professional councelling for your problems. Remove access to / from your funds for a while. Hand it over to your family or loved and and talk about it.

I appreciate the work you put in here, but you do realise you're just trying to arbitrate between a morally corrupt industry and those people whose life it destroys?

Since 1998, I have been running Casinomeister with the primary mission of providing you with information so that you can make wise or careful decisions. Did I advise you to play at this casino? No. Do I promote casinos to folks down under? No. So how am I arbitrating between a morally corrupt industry and you?

There are scores of casinos that abide by their laws and proper responsible gaming regulations, and it was your choice to play at a casino that did not abide by any of these rules - as we presume. And just to add - no one here has any idea on your relationship with this casino, if they chose to turn a blind eye towards your depositing behavior or if they had any safeguards in place. I wish it was different, and it pains me to see you suffering. But all we can do here is give you moral support and encouragment.

There are a fair few Curacao casinos that offer the full spectrum of responsible gambling tools.

I would suggest you self-exclude and delete your accounts or get someone close to change your passwords and not tell you.

If you must gamble, although I strongly recommend you find a new hobby, do it with the full range of limits applied to avoid drunken nights of careless gambling. You seem a smart fellow - look forward, not back, its useless mulling over what has happened and will bring you down.

Sorry to hear about this, don't make a bad situation worse and as someone else mentioned, think of your family and focus on improving the family balance now, not the bank - rule number one for gamblers - do not chase your losses.

It is really sad to hear what the OP did. But money can be re earned and re saved but never through gambling. Very worse thing you could do is to try chase the loss that wont end well. Neither is blaming the casinos for your loss. You made a personal choice and blaming the casinos or anyone else for that matter will not address the issue. Its about taking personal responsibility. I am not without sympathy as I know what it is like to loose way too much money.
7 or 8 years back I went through a period of insane gambling - it could have ruined me. So I put the brakes on and made sure I had limits on the few casinos I played at. And now aside from a few deposits last year into cyrptos I am done with online gaming. And would never deposit to a UK facing casino these days - personal choice.

But write of the 200k its gone never to return. Try focus on rebuilding and focus not on "corrupt" industries but on what you can do for yourself to pull yourself up from what I am sure is a very shit time.

You're right, to an extent, it's not your fault my government has royally fucked us.
But on the other hand this industry is like the cigarette and booze monopolies making sure they limp along as long as possible, it's sad but true to consider the vast majority of your users are not actually enjoying themselves responsibly or even at all anymore, maybe for the first few days or even years if they get lucky, but after that it's just a compulsion, a distraction from the misery of their life.. which I guess we should all should be free to choose, which defeats my point...

Oh and yeah I was the alt accounts someone else picked me up as. For what it's worth.
