Ya know....maybe I'm diving too deep into this, but....

I really can't describe it, but when I think back about tonight, it really freaks me out...

Like...the following factors, however small, if they were changed in any way in regards to timing, it's entirely possible that I would have never won a cent.

1) If I had walked a little bit slower to/from the store to fill my NS card to deposit
2) If I hadn't taken a break during playing to talk to a friend online
3) If I hadn't stopped for a few seconds to pull out and light a smoke
4) If I didn't take a bathroom break at just that second

and the list goes on and on....................

I've always wondered this about land-based casino play too....if I had waited just 1 more hand before starting to play.....if I had drove to the casino any faster/slower.....etc.......lol

And no, I'm not on drugs :D

I knwo what you mean, nothing is ever Coincidence in my book everything happens for a reason. to many things have happend to put it down to just coincidence and it looks like you are seeing the same thing.

Thanks...I didn't think I was crazy...lol

I'm not a religious man, but you have to admit, there are definitely forces out there at work.....as with you, I don't believe in coincidence. I'm a firm believer in Fate as well as Karma.

It doesn't even have to be about gambling either. I can count a handful of times over the years that I would have been tied up in a horrible traffic accident if only I had left a few minutes earlier/later, wouldn't have hit that red light a few miles back, etc..

Where's Rob at? I would have thought he'd jump in this thread feet first...lol

Dang, I must have missed this one earlier...

Great subject, I too believe in fate and karma and all that other stuff like you are talking about here Win, it's amazing and freaky at the same time when you start thinking about the split seconds that could have made you a fortune or got your a$$ in some deep $hit if only the timing had of been different by a few seconds...:D

I can think of probably at least 100 times that if I hadn't left that slot machine when I did I would have hit a big one on it just a few minutes later and it finally got to the point that it was driving me nuts to walk back around to it only five minutes after I had left it to see someone sitting there waiting on a jackpot to be paid off so I finally figured a way to cure that pain by never going back to that same area within at least two hours of the time I had previously walked away, I started going to the opposite side of the Casino when I would leave a machine then. ;)

I've also had a lot of flashbacks and premonitions of things that could have or would have happened if I had left my house driving to work or somewhere that would have had dire consequences to them had my timing been off by a couple of minutes...it's some freaky stuff when you really sit down and think about it all, like should I have turned left at this or that point in my life instead of turning right, what would have happened? Where would that path have taken me? It can really get you into some deep thought on what wave length you are currently vibrating at now verses what wave length you could have been pinging at if you had of taken that other path.

You gotta love the cosmos and the big picture that makes it all work at the right time for each of our fates ya know, both for the good and bad, the lessons learned along the way and the hurdles still ahead that are unforeseen but still intriguing to think about to say the least...:D

That's Rob's philosophy on the subject...

Forget about split second decisions/actions.....when you're talking about a slot machine or anything that involves a RNG, it could be milliseconds :D

the word here is if if if ,
if i picked the correct numbers id have won the lottery, if i had bet more i would have won more, my motto is if you cant change it why worry about it, i used to worry about all those things and more but it turned me into an insomniac :D

IMO

We all suffer from the "SHOULDA,WOULDA,COULDA'S at some given point in our lives, the key IMO is learning to ACCEPT whatever the outcome maybe.
Notice "I said" ACCEPT.....NOT NECESSARILY AGREE.
It took the better part of my life to understand this and apply it my everyday life. Not an easy task, but one well worth the effort.
I to believe in FATE, KARMA, and ANY OTHER NAME one cares to give it.
ACCEPTING Life on Life's Terms is by no means easy, but it sure has made the JOURNEY much more enjoyable.
Not trying to be a Philospher here Friends, just sharing my experience, strength and hope.
