thiiiiis close....

Yes, not the first time for me. Prior to my 3535x mega hit on Dead or Alive in late July, I made a $100 deposit on VSO last 4 weeks. Next deposit, I made $45 on Spinata Grande free spins and $313 on Dead or Alive and ended a 3 month dry spell I had going.

By the way, you're from Montreal. Did you visit Casino du Montreal recently and see them over-promote that mediocre Cirque du Soleil's Kooza slot? Here in Gatineau, they had nine slots (all being played), lights surrounding them in the shape of a tent and somebody dressed as a performer on Friday night. It's as if Kooza is Buffalo Gold to them. They were also promoting that people can play the slot on Espace Jeux, of course. I understand that Cirque du Soleil is based out of Montreal but this is way too excessive. It's a razzle dazzle SG/Bally slot.

Ugh...but I tend to stay away from the slots that have licensing...they never pay....and I try to stay away from Montreal casino....seems like I never win there.

Yeah, I agree. Government casinos are the worst and that's what we're stuck with.

I did hit this Friday at Casino Lac Leamy. I think it will be 3-5 years before I get a mega hit there again:

WTF? was my reaction to everybody playing Kooza. That should be reserved for Buffalo Gold or Wicked Winnings IV, slots that are actually good.

Yup they are HORRIFIC to say the least. PLAYOLG are pure bastards too with this online casino they offer. Their slots are almost all of their worst slots ever made with the worst payouts ever. Aside from 3-4. It has to be the biggest money sucking casino designed out of pure greed.

No the pure greed award goes to our lovely government who is trying to stop us from playing online casinos except theirs for our own protection of course.

I had oñe withdrawal (first)at V+J after mths of deposits there but other than that no withdrawal since November and even that was small. I haven't withdrawn more than 100/150 in about a year ..Which is shit .. and yes I've contemplated just giving up as never mind the losing streak , the play factor is useless. You start out with 50 quid deposit and it's gone in an hour . Meh.
300 spins on DOA this morning at 9p. Not one damn bonus.

Here's how January turned out:

European casinos: -$190

Lotto Max: -$20

OLG RCR and Casino Lac Leamy: +$379

Total profit: $169

It's time to take a break from Europe. Every company (Microgaming, Rigdrassil, Net Ent) has lowered the payback. Might as well lose my money at PlayOLG.ca. Nobody is giving me long term play for my money any more on the slots. People were saying this last year and now I believe them.

Not winning fuck all at the moment, I can increase my balance by £100-150 easy enough but im not withdrawing that, that just allows me to up my stakes.

I just wasted a few deposits trying to hit a feature on Yggdrasils double dragon as they have added it for UK players this week. 20 minutes of play and about £150 later, playing at moderate stakes because its fucking Yggdrasil I finally hit the free spins. They take your average coin size so my bet was £1.25 for the feature, and I literally hadnt won anything, my money had gone down close to £200 and I HIT IT. YES.

Pays £3.50. Fuck off Yggdrasil, I just get sucked into them and they are really disgusting. Thats it for Yggdrasil now, ive blocked my self on the few sites that host them to UK players as they really fucking take the piss. I went onto Zeppelin the other day with £280 at like £1.40 a spin, gone in 2 minutes. Every slot they make is shit, a few have potential but you need to put 20,000x stake in to get a bonus.

Every stream I see of people playing their games, the person usually loses continuously until they hit a feature which often pays single digits. They really should be blacklisted as they have the most disgusting RTP and its obvious to anyone who has played their games that the listed RTP is a fucking lie for every slot they do, the RTP on every one of their slots ive payed is so abysmal, I have played so many thousands of quid through their machines and I dont think ive had bigger than a 300x once, and then lots of 50-80x...wow.

I make alot of small deposits, I rather throw £20 in at a time incase I hit something big early. Im not the type of person to start with say £250 for that reason, I would rather just put £20 in 10 times. So if I do hit a 100x - 150x win its not really changing anything for me, if I withdrew every time I was up £100-150 this week I would probably have about £3000, and its like that most weeks, fuckers haha.

Having a withdrawal target figure AND STICKING TO IT is very important when playing online.
I actually want someone to come round and slap me round the head, because at least THREE TIMES this month I have taken deposits (in the 300-400 range) up to 2 or 3 times my deposited amount... but failed to cash-out and the inevitable happened.
Seriously, I need someone to :poke: me.

My resolution for the rest of the year, is to hit that damn cash-out button!
OK - this was VERY hard for me to do...
Cashing-out is not a problem - but cashing-out after only a couple of hours play is something I do find difficult to do.

But having deposited $400 yesterday and taken it up to 3 x that with Untamed Panda & Thunderstruck - I decided to test my resolve and do it!
Still leaves me the original $400 to play with...

That was a MAJOR achilles heel for me last year mate. 2016 was an eye-opener for me in many ways...

Gambling too much
Losing too much
Spunking back winnings (when common sense would have dictated....no actually....SCREAMED that I hit the damn button) too much

All that adds up to one thing......my hobby got way too expensive. My net losses in 2016 were greater than my net losses from November 2011 (when I started slotting online) to December 2015 COMBINED. It would have been far too easy for me to say.....oh the games have changed, the RTP's have been lowered blah blah blah.

The cold harsh reality is this...my hobby got way too expensive last year because I ALLOWED it to.
Don't get me wrong, I still would have been "a net loser" in 2016, even with better "cashout discipline".
But I made myself a "BIG net loser" in 2016 because of too many incidences of me shooting myself in the foot, the biggest one being a £100 deposit at Rizk I made in October that I turned into over £500. On the HTML5 version of Twin Spin of all things!
I never went near the cashout button and lost the lot. So. Frickin'. DUMB.
If I want to point the finger of blame at anyone/anything, then there's only two options.....the mirror and myself.

So with all that in mind, changes afoot for 2017. Time to cut down on gambling, time to look for better value, time to go back to
playing with bonuses, time to go back to focusing more on MG Viper (which was traditionally my favourite/most successful stomping ground)
and most importantly.....

TIME TO make sure I cut down on self-inflicted foot wounds.

And oh yeah.....I've literally got post it notes attached to my monitor now. No getting lost in the buzz zone BS for me anymore.
I have always tried to play for profit, it's about time my actions and my decision making actually backed that mindset up.

And so far it seems to be working. I have one January deposit left to play and I will (at worst) have a net profit of £250 for January.
Not a lot, but it is profit.

And I have yet to make a deposit in February. The old me could (and would) have already made at least 10 deposits by this stage of a calendar month.

Less is more springs to mind.

PS I left out one very important detail. I didn't lose a single pound that I could not afford to lose. If I had done, I'd probably be in one of two places....

1. On a break from gambling
2. In the quit gambling section

This time I am taking break from online casino just to play pokies from pub cos I prefer quicker withdrawal. Cos neteller has been a real b...lately cos they won't support neteller card for Australia anymore. Thats the sad part. Ah well. I am going to change to eco pay and use that next time but pity not all casino support eco pay. I didn't fair well last time with bonus for online casino. Last time at the pub I did well with Konami Pirate Rose and cashed out $541 after landed on Gold Mine jackpot. $300 from free spin and $200+ from mini jackpot. Too many free spins feature to count though with 3 scattered or more.

Lets say I deposit £250 and lose £200 on the slots, I'll leave the £50 to play roulette and select all the numbers 25-36 if any of these numbers come in you should get the £250 back so it's 1 in 3 chance effectively.

I'll return back to the slots and repeat above, doesn't always work but it's saved me hundreds of times even by playing the local amusement arcades on the high street and leaving a little to play the roulette in the bookies for one big/quick spin.

If you do get your first win on roulette keep going until you get a losing number, you might have just hit it at the right time and sometimes walked away with a few thousand this way.

My online gambling drought finally ended via PlayOLG.ca. Deposited $20 into their latest "addition" Hot Roll Times Pay, got a 49 Roll bonus of $38 and cashed out $60. As soon as you make any money, withdraw, withdraw, withdraw. That helps soften the blow from the VSO session.

I managed to get a large cashout ($350+$50 deposit) from Bet Victor thanks to Bonanza but my next $50 deposit at Leo Vegas lasted less than a day. I'm taking the rest of the month off from online casinos but still will go to land based ones. Not going to throw my profit away on the mediocre slots Canadians have to make do with at most casinos. I may go even longer.

I am up $394 at this point.

I know my first post spoke ill of netent but I really miss their slots an awful lot. My biggest wins came from DOA...some good ones on SOTS and jack. Now all we have is these slot providers where I find it crazy hard to win on.

Yggdrasil is just brutal, BTG another brutal one, Playngo really terrible and same with thunderkick and playtech. The only one I can speak highly of is Microgaming. You can get lucky and get a real big one or a few decent ones to keep you playing for awhile.

Yggdrasil. I have never had a big win on it. I think a couple hundred x and thats it. Which is pretty bad in my opinion considering how much I played their slots.

Playtech. Had a 500x on great blue once or twice but this slot is usually a money sucker. Same with Buffalo Blitz. The rest of their slots are pretty awful too. Most being jackpots the rtp being rotten.

BTG. Ive had one big win on their slots that was over 1000x a few months ago and a 600x. Again really terrible because ive done well over 100,000 spins on their slots.

Playngo. I had one 500x when I got 5 explorers. I find 99% of sessions to be losses on their slots.

Microgaming. Many big and decent win. Three times over 1000x on jurassic. 2000x on avalon II..1500x on T2.

Netent. 6000x on doa. 2500x on doa. 1000x on jack. Numerous 300-500x on SOTS. Im not going to pump secret of the stones much though cause that slot is usually pretty nasty. 500x on victorious. 400x on thief. 500x on space wars

So in short being limited to playngo, yggdrasil, BTG, playtech and playngo is just an absolute money eater. I would stick to microgaming if I didnt get bored of playing the same provider all the time.

I was quite happy with switching between MG and netent. Now that netent is gone, Ive had to find something else to switch too which results in disasters.

Its been months for me, however I have been in a position to cashout and have chased the monster hit.........

Now I have essentially closed 99% of all my accounts and have been on pretty much of a break for the last 3 months, my quality of life and overall being has improved vastly, I didn't think it was ever at the point that it was having an adverse affect, a little reality check for me.....I still love to play but keep it in check, saying all this I blame some of it on the new games, 99% of them have just shite paytables, I was down to playing just a few slots that still have the potential to pay big.

Its funny how an infamously "liberal" Canadian administration is busy shutting down providers left right and center and removing peoples choices, whilst pushing their own government owned casinos with a handful of select providers.

Not following you, the majority of changes happened when the conservative government was in power, not that I am a liberal fan in any way but don't think this is as much of a legislative thing than an operator thing, more pressure from B&M loaded with all the WMS/Scientific/Bally, IGT and Aristocrat machines.

Every Canadian province has their own policies in regards to gaming. It isn't a federal issue as far as I know. Ontario is pretty much Hell for gamblers with their 85% land based casinos and shitty PlayOLG.ca.

I don't know why these casinos are afraid to defy the slot providers. I doubt they could do anything to hurt them. It's just greed.
