the WTF thread

This bumbling loonatic is rumoured to have negotiated a pathway with Starmer to eradicate all meat production in the UK by 2050. I am not sure if its true but it rings true to me.
Ireland have already thrown out the possibility of banning the sale and posession of new cats in future. Then it will be dogs.
I wonder what secret medication he is on to prevent his rocking?

Last year they introduced those lids on plastic bottles that don't come off, and now they've decided to stick worms in food... ffs! They say: 'It is up to consumers to decide whether they want to eat insects or not.' LOL. So be careful when picking stuff from Tesco's next time - they can be somewhere along with Romanian horse meat tins. :D

Whilst you are joking, some people might be a bit sensationalist about this.

All it is is saying is that it is safe and approved. As this specific food wasn't widely consumed in the EU before 1997, it needs this approval to be used in foodstuffs.

You won't be finding this all over British supermarket shelves

Yeah i would like to believe, but the UK typically likes to invent all sorts of things. Sainsbury's has actually been feeding people with crickets since 2018.

When i think of worms, i imagine them living in shit, developing when something rots, or being used for fishing. So, if i ever come across food that includes anything worm-related, i would prefer to see a clear label on the front, not something like hidden away E9... or disguised with a buzzword.

However, this UK online shop says that these buffalo ones are good for meatball. I might get 1kg for £132 to try them out :p

The EU classified Meal worms as fit for human consumption in 2021 but it was officially approved recently.
EU regulation 2025/89

The food only needs to be labeled "contains vitamin D produced by UV-treatment" The regulation also admits that there is limited data as to the harms that the product may cause, yet they are allowing it to be consumed without clear labelling and admits that harms may include those who allergic to dust mites and crustaceans.

Foods that include bread, cheese, pasta, processed potato products, dairy and fruit compots.

Read all labels and also look out for "Novel" or "Novel Food" .

Incidently,Chocolate is allowed to contain an amount of bugs and so is flour

I look forward to all their eateries serving up bug food to the EU chiefs.

I hoped Trump could expose the insanities of their control freakery and weird/sick ideas they have in store for us, like eating dried meal worm or crickets/insects.

If we'd wanted to have done anything in that direction, we'd have taken up snail and frogs' legs eating years ago.

Had 5 Indians come to my mothers house as part of a government scheme to improve heating last month.
They put up 4 window condensation things, wrongly, and dug a hole in the kitchen roughly the size of eurotunnel, stuck fan on it incorrectly(already fell out the wall) and made sure to not be contactable afterwards. The kitchen now lets in more cold air than it did prior to their visit.

Just a word of advice to anyone in the UK who might know someone older/vulnerable currently needing heating improvements from the government, a heads up to be careful as to what peices of shit the commie government decides to send through your door.

Company was Zoa Energy Solutions.

Is that what a prawn is?
Prawns for sure. Insects with tinier insects living inside them. Almost everything I buy says 'may contain traces of shellfish' so I guess we have been having insect powder in our food for ages now.

Ah, after complaining, had another Indian guy show up... some "independent surveyor" ... independently chosen by them (probably in on the scam). He came to check on the insulation which the clowns were supposed to fit, and, shockingly, they fucked that up completely too.
So yeah, don't let them sign up with Zoa Energy Solutions if you know someone who is trying to get on the Eco4 government funded grant.
