I am not very happy with the way I have made the worst mistake by playing Slotocash RTG Casino first time. I did not realised that when I deposited $25 and get 400% welcome bonus. I played but I did not realised I was supposed not to play any symbol driven progressive jackpot slot. But every other game which is stand alone jackpot is random, but still it is a progressive jackpot is done by every player input 1.5% per spin. I didn't know. I requested cash out for $1,000 exact amount. I had a lot of good luck. Then today had turned to bitter news that my winning paid was void because of what happened. Void reason was attempted to play symbol driven progressive jackpot slot games. I thought oh no I forgot about the rules. I should have read the rules carefully before beginning to play. That is the worst mistake I have ever made. Now I learnt a hard lesson and will not commit to do that again. But again, I think this is the worst/most stupid rules I have ever heard coming from RTG that anyone use bonus cannot play any symbol driven progressive jackpot even when all other slots are all random jackpot as a stand alone jackpot feeding from every playing with 1.5% input into jackpot every spin. What do you reckon? Do you find it hard to agree or oppose with the RTG bonus rules, etc? I don't mean to be bad to slotocash. It is a major problem with rules. If they made driven symbol progressive jackpot slot prohibited there should be locked you out from these games instead of player gets in by mistake and winning pay out becomes void. It prevent you from making a terrible mistake. So, please be very careful with what you are doing with deposit, bonus, please read the rules very carefully before you commit to play. One mistake, your winning pay will be vanished. I am disappointed today but ah well I took it a consequence and accepted that and admitted that I failed to read term/condition. RTG casino will NOT forgive you if you make these mistake, it is very serious offence.

Well it sucks, but the lesson you learned is that if you're going to take a bonus you need to read the terms. I rarely take deposit bonuses at RTG casinos just because I don't want to be bothered. Hopefully you'll get just as lucky next time you play there.

There are two very important SLOTO Bonus rules to always keep in mind:

Do not play Progessive Jackpots with bonus money AND do not bet above $6.50 per spin with bonus money. Either one of those will void your winnings.

Always, Always ---------- make sure you know all the rules and restrictions on bonuses so there are no unhappy surprises like this.

(if it's any consolation, my first attempt at an online casino two years ago - I had the exact same problem. Only I lost $7000 in winnings. Hard to keep in perspective that it was a small deposit of my money,when the huge win amount was lost.......but I broke the posted rules because I didn't have enough experience to totally understand how things worked)

But after two years at CM, I am a much smarter gambler. Still make mistakes, but have learned to ask a lot of questions and save all the emails and chats to protect myself.

This is a "stupid rule" because you CAN play most progressive slots, but not these few. From a players' perspective, what's the difference? A progressive is a progressive, and it looks like complicated rules are just there to catch out the unwary player who fails to read and fully understand them. A few years ago, the advice was simply "play slots and keep away from the tables", and you could more or less guarantee not falling foul of any rules.

Now, even recreational slots players have to examine the rules just as carefully as the advantage "bonus bagging" expert. In fact, advantage players are LESS likely to get caught out because they DO read the rules, if only to find the loopholes. If an advantage player gets caught, it's because they found a "grey area" and took a chance the casino wouldn't spot it.

Among other silly rules I have seen one that forbids play on "any 9 line slot", yet you can play 9 lines on a 15 line slot without any problems. This caught a player who saw "slots bonus", and didn't think to double check the small print. The headline was deceptively "valid on all slots", but "all" in this case didn't include 9 line slots, and the player didn't check to see whether the casino had problems with dictionary definitions by reading the small print. If it had said "MOST slot games", then I am sure the player would have read on to see which ones they could not play.

This non progressives on a bonus rule is actually quite common, but is often only found in the small print.

To use the definition "symbol driven progressive" rather than listing the games assumes the player knows what this means, because on the face of it, ALL slot games are "symbol driven".

These complicated rules create a body of players who feel the casino was just out to trick them, and thus develop a low opinion of the industry as a whole. It isn't helped by the fact that it is only WINNING players that are informed they are breaking the rules, as if you lose, the casino generally keeps quiet about the fact that your play was void, perhaps because voiding such play means giving back the deposit that they have just won off you.

To me, it sounds like its time for RTG software developer who make these rules will have to revise the rules and make it include progressive jackpot slot in the bonus to avoid any problem in future reference or either way lock any player out of these who is on bonus period including symbol driven progressive jackpot slots, table games, bingos, others. It happened to me with Rival casino I went to few years ago it locked me out of some of games when I was on bonus period which had prevented me from making mistake was a common sense. It seems interesting that RTG hasn't made that way yet. I haven't had problem with other like microgaming, intercasino and Playtech with bonus period. I really think RTG developer need to have strategies and make some new ways to avoid any players make a terrible mistake. It is common problem to see some have made mistake unfortunately. There is no can do in PAB if they make mistake and post PAB in. There is no can do from casino if you make mistake, you violate the terms and conditions. They will return your original deposit and all the rest of winning amount will be forfeited. Terms and conditions should be made simple with less to read, just make some list which games they cannot play, display it very clearly. Also explain whats the difference between progressive jackpot (symbol driven progressive jackpot) and random jackpot and explain they cannot play one of those lots of slot which is progressive jackpot. It has to be display very clear, make it simple for people to understand and that will be a lot easier for all to read after apply bonus then that's about it. Although in RTG in bonus after I applied it did displayed the list but I don't think I took noticed of progressive jackpot (symbol driven progressive jackpot). I did take notices of table games, etc are excluded and not allowed to play and I think I remembered it didn't show the max bet amount too. I hope this what I typed here should be made clear that RTG software developer MUST fix the problem for the casino. Its not casino's fault. I actually had another thought is they should provide link on bonus applied notice screen to lead them to more information about what to do and what not to do. Then that's great. I think that's all I can rant on about. There is nothing I can do about.

Symbol driven progressive jackpot slot mean a slot game include wild (substitute) act as a jackpot if 5 of a kind wild (subsitute) is triggered on an active payline trigger the progressive jackpot winning. Some games require a single payline like line 15 or line 25, or something like that for example to trigger jackpot winning, again 5 of a kind of wild symbol.

Random jackpot slot game means it can trigger at the end of spin at any given time at any bet amount doesn't matter if big or small.

Keep in mind jackpot is hard to get to win though. If you want easier to win, you would need to play multi-jackpot game like Mega Moolah, there is more is at Party Casino and other one at Intercasino which is great example. Mini, minor, maxi, major, grand jackpot in one for example. If jackpot is triggered, the jackpot will be written over the screen and let you know you have won a jackpot or jackpot round taking you there to determine which one you have won after you pick out or spin the wheel.

Konami has scattered jackpot at the casino or in pub whereas if 3 jackpot scattered comes up, you have won a jackpot round and take you there to pick out or it spin for you to determine which jackpot you are winning on.

So much more different way they make around.

OK, I understand rules are rules but I want to ask you a question or two here. Did you actually play these symbol driven jackpot slots, or did you merely attempt to play? I had an RTG casino that would not let me play that progressive. If you were not successful in getting one single bet in, as the software can be set to disable a slot that does not qualify, to me that simply does not qualify as a reason to deny your cashout. So, again, were you able to actually play the slot, or did you just attempt? I think you know where I'm going with this. RTG can lock out excluded games and I have seen it done. Also what they classify as a progressive can throw off even experienced players.

Yeah I did got into those games that RTG did not locked me out of. And in the bonus coupon rules I did not see symbol driven progressive jackpot being on excluded list at all. And I did not see max bet in the list. If it was there, I must have been blind then. Its a mistake and nothing can be reversed. They have returned original deposit to me anyway. I learnt new ways that players are their responsible to follow the rules and not to go in a particular game that is on excluded list. Slotocash RTG does not lock those out at all. There is no warning dialog come up or anything. Thats unfortunately for some to slip in make a big mistake.

Where is the detail about max bet and progressive jackpot that is not shown on couple either? It only show in the slotocash casino promotion rules on web browser rather than on RTG downloaded game coupon detail?

I hope this should be a message to slotocash that they need to modify it to include those in the coupon list when most people can't be stuff to go all the way to browser to search for promotion rules. That would have save so much time and trouble.

On webpage it stated that you cannot bet higher than $6.25 or $6.50 something like that and you cannot play progressive jackpot that is not in the include list.

So, RTG have provided a player protection facility to prevent inadvertent playing of prohibited games, but Sloto prefer not to use this in providing their customers with the best possible service, and resort to confusing rules, with different parts of the whole at different places. Only part of the full set of rules is shown in the laughably titled "understanding your... coupon", and even they are contradictory at first sight, having bingo listed as both an allowed and excluded game, and having "real series slots" listed as included at full weighting, and then "some real series slots" listed as excluded.

The key to this seems to be an included games list, rather than an excluded games list. Rather than all the confusing language and terminology, it would have been clearer to have a straight forward "valid for play on the following games.......", followed by "play on any game not listed is prohibited with this coupon". The maximum bet rule should also be inserted here as part of the accompanying text. Better still if the software could reject any bets above this limit.

It seems the "symbol driven progressives" mentioned are NOT in that expanded list under "real series slots" under the first heading, although in the casino itself they are generally classed as "real series slots", and are reached through the same tab. This is the point the OP missed during the confusion.

Simply because of it's desire to implement a "stupid rule", Sloto has lowered it's reputation among players in general, and from being one of the few top notch Rival casinos, has become "just another RTG among many". Perhaps it is trying to use the same marketing policies it used with Rival software with their new RTG software, and it doesn't fit too well, hence the "stupid rules" and other confusions.

The main reason is that Rival decided to stop allowing the software to be used within the US. Initially this was for new players only, but in the past such bans have quickly been followed by operators being forced to ditch ALL their US players. Sloto moved to RTG before they were pushed by Rival.

The fact that players are actually WORSE OFF playing the "symbol driven progressives" than the RJs is what makes this a "stupid rule". Further, it is RTG, not the operator, that has to pay a big win from such a progressive, whereas the RJs are internal to individual operators.

Players are actually MORE likely to beat a Sloto bonus by sticking to this rule, and playing only the RJ slots.

In choosing which RJ to go for, they should bear in mind any max cashout cap that will lead to much of their win ending up back with the casino.

Perhaps RTG themselves have some "dark" clause in their contracts with operators that makes allowing players to use bonuses on "symbol driven progressives" a VERY high risk for individual operators.

Their loophole to the bonus may be, we offer a list of included games. It's the players' responsibility to check and make sure the game they wish to play is on the list....Once again, making it the players' responsibility to read through eye numbing T&Cs to ensure they are following the bonus to the letter of the law (so to speak). So, the playing of a symbol driven progressive falls back onto the player, voiding out winnings.

Now, I would have been one of those players to lose on this bonus, simply because I didn't have the foggiest notion what a "symbol driven progressive" slot was until it was explained several posts ago. And I probably wouldn't have been 'smart' enough to ask in live chat what it was either. So it would have been a lose/lose bonus for me as a player if I had chosen to play with this type of bonus (thank goodness I seldom used bonuses when I WAS playing. It's because of circumstances such as this that I didn't used them).
