To be honest. allot of information in South Africa is available on people, but not as easily accessable. Not to mention some of the info is not available at all. I think the US is a scary place to live in, in terms of privacy.:what:

Oh yeah. In my state, you can look up the superior court and check on anyone in the state free. You can find out the same information.

I forget which state it was, but in one city, you can go online and lookup court/public documents which displays that person's social security number. Can we say identity theft?

It is just a front end to intelius.com, just like Yahoo! people search. What's more worrying what intelius.com is doing with all the data. Here are some quotes from an archived intelius.com homepage: "Intelius is focused on developing Integrated Intelligent Information for Homeland Security and Personal Safety. The recent events have heightened the consciousness of personal safety throughout the world. Intelius is at the forefront of developing integrated personal intelligence data in new ways that benefit people, businesses, and government."
"I believe that integrated intelligence is critical to our personal safety and the safety of our nation. Intelius is integrating together a broad range of information in a very real way which will allow people, businesses, and our government to take action. "
Adm. William A. Owens (Ret.), Director Intelius,
Former Vice Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff
