John Lennon-Just like Starting Over. I'm not a particularly big fan of Lennon the solo artist but we do share the same city of birth and a remarkably similar name too. Unfortunately I cannot sing or play any musical instruments.

Yeah I remember that, I don't know if they had to pay royalties. Around that time, late 80's?, there was also the milli vanilli story about faking the singing

Yeah, originally they just lifted the sample and used that.

As far as I'm aware, Heather Small of the M People replaced the vocals when the song was re-done- she can be heard on most of the versions of the song you hear these days.

Heard?Destroyed the song her voice is totally awful on the replacement luckily most radio stations still play the Loletta Holloway version, Now 80s unfortunately choose to use the Heather Small version.
