The loss you regret the most

Carnival was one of the first casinos I played at, I ran my $200 + bonuses well up over $2000 (Euros to boot). I then proceeded to dump 700 euro betting $5 at 3CP in the shortest space of time possible - I still cashed out around $1700USD but just felt soooooo stupid.

I just did a similar thing at InterCasino - was trying to grind out my monthly bonus, was down to $118 and did one $18 spin on Millionaires Club - won $600 but have just dumped $300 back today doing dumb stuff coz I was bored.

I still have a fairly good-sized bankroll, but thinking about all the profit I have dumped down the drain makes me feel pretty ill.....

The Loss I regret the most can be attributed to this website in a sense.

Being new to online gambling, I tried a few different casino's and bonus offers. I was playing at Vegas Palms with a deposit 50 get 200 bonus, playing three card poker brought it to $600, tried some slots because I had never played some of the MG slots and I had some of the WR to go through still. first spin on Goblins Gold returns $85.00, move over to tomb raider at $4.50 a spin, third spin get the feature and pull another $75.00 from it, moved over to wassabi I think within three or four spins I get the fish feature and pull another $80.00 or so then head back to three card at $5.00 pair plus and get two straight flush's at $200.00 a piece and I am up over $1000.00. I had like $20.00 left to go to meet the WR but then all the posts I had read on here about Bonus abusers and "better not try and withdraw right away or the casino will deny it" blah blah blah posts started entering into my head. I was feeling almost quilty for getting lucky and winning so I kept playing.

Yep, you know where this post is heading, I started losing and chasing the loss thinking "Okay this should be enough to be okay, I can withdraw now, nah, play some more it will be okay, you don't want to get labeled." I ended up cashing out $330.00 but if I never would have read the horror stories on here I swear I would have cashed out at $1300.00 lol :).

On a side note, my worst regret bet session had to be at a RTG where I like to lose my money accepting those wacky huge %'s bonus's you know the ones, 500% on like $25 bucks with the 40X WR you can never make but it is fun to pass the time on. I play Let em ride and it is streaky as heck and I like to vary my bets, I start with 5 bucks then drop down and move up as I feel a streak (yes I know there is no rhyme or reason but I like to think there is) so I just had loaded up the casino, my gal calls on the phone, I answer and I was about to put my first bet down, she starts talking and I am listening (eyes drifting to the screen and just place a $1.00 chip in the first slot instead of $5.00) while she is talking I hit the deal button and three aces show up and I wince "No hon, I am still here" I let it ride and yep, the fourth ace drops in and I just shake my head and laugh. First hand out, one dollar bet for $150 return and if that phone wouldn't have rang it would have been $750.00. Granted I would have lost it all anyway but dang I regret answering that call and not placing the $5.00 bet like I usually do. lol :).

But the best part is that I had neglected to save any money for the taxi home and I swear 2 minutes after I stepped out the door there was a mighty clap of thunder and the heavens opened. 12 miles walking in the rain, all that time to think. Brrrrrrrrrrr it still haunts me.
That was the first of several but if you gamble half the fun is the hard luck stories....cough

You wouldn't have noticed the thunder had you won.

You are your own destiny!

Nice story though...

Re

That reminds when I threw away a royal. I blame my husband. I admit I can NOT do two things at the same time Eg( Listen to the tv and listen to my husband talk.)

I was playing video poker and dealt a royal. He decides to start talking to me about something rite then, and after I spoke to him, I forgot to hold the cards, and threw away the royal. I wanted to KILL him! He knows better than to talk to me when Im playing poker! LOL

As you all know, I'm a committed low-roller, so my most regretted loss is not huge - just a combination of gross stupidity by me - AND stupid software!

Playing Stud at Bet365 in the Boss-Media days I caught 4 of a kind.
Desperate to capture the moment with a 'before & after' screen shot, I got the image, opened Paint & pasted it in.
Meantime I forgot that DUMB-ASS software had a ridiculous timer on it - even when playing in solo mode.
Course the fricking thing timed out while I was mucking about in paint and auto-folded my hand!
'Only' £41 - but soooo sooooo annoying! :machinegu

Very expensive screenshot....

What is Holland Casino like gfk? Is it worth a visit and can you just walk in off the street and play?

Apart from the dodgy loss I had 3 nights in a row I liked the establishment. Young people, old people, cheerful atmosphere.....a nice casino to visit however there is an entrance fee of 4-6 euros I think which can be avoided if you get entry vouchers from the hotel which I did:D

My most regrettable loss

Good thread. This is going to sound fishy, but it is true. About two years ago at Intercasino when I first starting playing there I deposited $90 or $100, I can't remember which, and got the $90 matchplay. I played for two days on it, played Fat Cat and got it up to around $25,000. NO LIE. I think I cashed out around $15,000 but that set me up to keep gambling and eventually all that went back and more. If I had just taken the big win and stopped right then and there ...... that is my biggest regret. It set me up to do stupid gambling things, like not cash out and try for more because I had done it once but I never could do it again.

The loss I regret the most? The one I just had last week at Omni. I lost $15,000 playing BJ. I have won and lost that amount many times, so I was not worried. Figured I would get it back next time. Guess what....there is no next time now. My last memory of online gambling will always be that stupid loss.
