The Endless Stupidity Of Chasing Progressives

Did you do the math chops, pretty sure it would have been a +EV from the point we said :) LOL

I've no doubt it was EV+ with the jackpot being that large, but you've still got to bloody well hit the thing, otherwise you're just tipping money down the drain playing a 91% random game. (95% total RTP plus 4% progressive contribution.)

I decided discretion was the better part of valour in this instance, not least because it's a progressive I've already won once, albeit when it was quite a lot lower. (Which makes no difference to the odds of course.)

Had a bit of a crack at Penta Pay over the last couple of evenings.

No progressive but I did get the biggest prize outside of that, two of the 5x symbols (so 25x) on the top red sevens win which is £12, multiply that by 25 for £300 which is 1000x.

Got this as well, 500x.

And this as well. Grrrr! The quest continues.

Some great hits but I guess your progressive hit chance is always going to be limited.

Unfortunately the lesson I've learned from winning the progressive on The Joker is that the key to winning progressives is just to keep trying, because that's how science works right?

It's not even like the jackpot on Penta Pay is that big (around 2115x at the moment), but the prospect of seeing those three 5x symbols land on the payline keeps drawing me back.

Generally speaking I'll have a crack at the progressives if I have a decent run on the videoslots or other games, so for example I got a nice raise on Medieval Moolah and Berrini's Fortune this evening, which Penta Pay was then all too happy to snaffle up. (If it's really in a grumpy mood, it'll destroy £100 on 30p spins in around half an hour.)
