The Dark Knight Microgaming Slot

It certainly looks and sounds the part and I'll definitely give it a go, but I always felt LOTR was a much worse slot after they 'progressive-ified' it, so a straight clone of that game doesn't particularly excite me TBH.

The 'regular random rewards' are just a nuisance as well IMO and simply act as padding to distract attention from the tendency of progressive slots to suck down your bankroll, 1x-10x stake is still a pathetic award, however much razmataz they dress it up with.

I also want to know what the split is between base game/progressive contribution, but bugger all chance of MG telling us of course.

Enjoy the 243 way machines so no doubt i'll give this a good workout

So the Warner Distribution load up was different when i saw it playing LOTR last night, thought something had changed.

I actually got an email from Golden Riviera last night saying it was live already! Of course, when I logged in it wasn't. Personally from all I've seen so far I think it looks good - basically it looks like LOTR Mk II and may be the same game so that can't be too shabby if it turns out to be the case.

Good looking slot, something new & maybe better than Lotr!

Well it can't be 'better' than LOTR because it is is LOTR with a new dress on. Unless MG are upping the RTP to 99% or something :D

If only MG accepts US players. I would love to see a JLA slot with several different bonus features eg 'Aquaman feature' or 'Green Lantern' feature. Better than purely Batman I suppose.

Would be nice, but we'd never see a movie version,or a slot of the movie; whereas Marvel produces their own films, DC shops them out, and as such different characters belong to different companies, so we'd never see, say, Superman and Batman in the same film.

Iam pretty sure Batman is not released till the 28th(Thursday).Maybe some casinos are getting it earlier but.
Doesnt matter really when its released as most people will have binned it by the weekend if it does pays like LOTR.But there has been no hype with this slot at all compared to Immortal Romance anyway.

I thought they would have brought it out with the Dark Night Rises movie and used the movie clips from that. That way the movie gets promoted also and attracts attention to the slot also.

Got the email from 32RED saying it's 'arrived' - but my software isn't updating when I launch it?

Usually it does that intro twice thing then fires up when there's nice shiny new stuff to look at. Just straight in as normal?..

Am I being impatient? :D

I'm such a sucker for new games.

EDIT: It arrived, like magic... in fact, out of the darkness.. like something dark. Like a knight. Or something.

Well I have to say it looks amazing and is a really nice slot to play.On my first imppression it does indeed pay like, if not worse than LOTR.
My stats were:
500 spins ÂŁ75 loss
1 free spins bonus and couldnt believe it when I had 17 empty free spins
Highest win was ÂŁ13 on 0.30 bet so just over 40xbet.

I will go back and play it again in a few days once the license is paid off a bit.

Well I saw, visually nice looking slot..I played, split $100 between 2 different casino groups..and I lost, never saw free spins or batman or the joker, let alone the wheel. Hope others have better luck!!

Never say never.... as collaborations have happened before despite being rare. I have a copy of Batman V Superman the comic book at home somwhere.... not read it in an age, but yes... their final epic battle rocks and the correct and logical winner emerges.

Would make a great film.....

As for the game, I gave it a shot myself this morning.... had a great run of playtime off the pennies left in my account. Never saw the free spins but wild after wild after wild which was nice. Batman stopped by, but I ran out of luck before I saw the joker. All in all I like it.... but you can guess from my picture that I'm a bit of a bat-fan and a little biased :)

I missed that one as comic sales dwindled in my territory. That was back in 1984. I vaguely recall Superman was captured and Batman had to rescue him. Meanwhile, I also loved the speed duels between Flash and Superman.

This graphics on this are very nice, but I am a bit freaked out by the CGI Heath Ledger as the Joker running about like Golem did in the LOTR slot...

First Impressions... ( + Screenshot )

Right, just had a 500 spin session on this @ 30p per spin.

Stats:

500 Spins
30p Stake
Biggest Win: ÂŁ42.24 ( 141 x stake)
2nd Biggest Win: Not even worth mentioning
Got Free Spins Twice - Paid a pathetic ÂŁ2.25 and ÂŁ3.05 respectively
Overall Win/Loss: -ÂŁ12.20

Review:

Graphics on this are fantastic. I mean, it looks really, really awesome. Have to agree that it plays, and pays, very similar to LOTR. Had Batman and Joker appear a few times, only win worth noting is the below screenshot where, in normal spins, where I hit 3 x 5oak Jokers, which paid ÂŁ10.56. Joker then appeared with a '4x' multiplier, which helped.

Normal pays on this game seem quite harsh, with some of the 'better' 5oak's only paying 4 x stake, with Joker and Batman paying the highest @ 350 coins per 30 coins staked. Wilds pay 400 coins per 30 staked. The random features in this game are extremely similar to Gollums Bonus in LOTR, with the same held wilds, same random coin payouts of 1 and 2 x stake, same features in the free spins where Batman/Joker increase your free spins by 1 or 2, or the multiplier by 1. You get my drift, basically they are exactly the same features as LOTR, except done differently and with different characters. Scatters seem the same as LOTR/IR/TS11, where 2 repeatedly drop in, only for the 3rd to drop in rarely. All you LOTR/IR/TS11 players will know exactly what I mean.

All in all, a very entertaining slot, with pays on par with those in Lord of The Rings. Will update again once have had some more playtime on it.

Well I just had a stunningly uninspiring ÂŁ100 session on this.

Did about 350 spins at 30p play with a highest single win of ÂŁ10.65 off the one and only free spins round I triggered - other than that I didn't get any single win beyond 10x stake. (My autoplay criteria are 100 spins/ÂŁ3 i.e. 10x stake at 30p play.)

Once I'd admired the sound and graphics for a while I got so damn bored with it that I started reading stuff on the web instead and just had it spinning off on the right hand side of my screen, and when I clicked back into the casino window after my autoplay had ended (100 spins of tedium) I must have clicked on the 'COINS' button once by accident to increase my stake to ÂŁ1.50 (5 coins instead of 1).

I then started autoplay again so off it went at ÂŁ1.50 per spin and I hadn't even noticed, it was only when I glanced back over and noticed I was down to ÂŁ15 left in my balance that I realised what I'd done. (And amusingly, whilst it rattled through 50 spins or so at ÂŁ1.50 per spin, it didn't stop on the autoplay trigger of ÂŁ3, so I didn't even get a win of 2x stake for about 50 spins :D)

It's now finished off the ÂŁ15 I had left in my balance when I dropped down to 30p play again, but I have just about cleared 500 spins - and I can honestly say that's about the least exciting ÂŁ100 I've spent in my entire life.

STATS:

Spins - 500 (approx)
Maximum win - 35.5x stake
Second highest win - Less than 10x stake
Bonus rounds - 1
Overall loss - ÂŁ100

OVERALL VERDICT:

It's LOTR again with a new coat of paint, and therefore will suffer from the same dreadful RTP on the base game, the utterly insulting 1-5x stake time-wasting interruptions that Gollum used to do except now it's the Batman or Joker doing them, and the occasional big hit that will be posted to the screenshots thread and make it all look far more interesting than it actually is.

When you increase your stake by 500% and don't even notice because the slot you're playing is so incredibly boring, something has gone dreadfully wrong :eek2:

You know, it's at times like this that I genuinely question whether or not I want to play online slots at all. I only gamble with spare cash so it's not like it's 'hurting' me in any way, but that was such an offensively shit way to spend ÂŁ100 I honestly just wish I'd have dropped it into the nearest charity box instead of donating it to the Microgaming Foundation For Shit Online Slot Machines.

ladbrokes comped me a nice amount of money for this slot and played it a lot now... must be very very high variance. I will probably place a few max spins here and there when on a streak some day... ÂŁ30 spins on lotr got me some great hits when i was drunk and played that half a year or so ago at ladbrokes.

Just had a dabble @ 32red

Deposit ÂŁ10 Bonus ÂŁ5

Withdrew ÂŁ115

Playing mostly 30p bets, It's just LOTR in a new coat, But it does look great.
