I have nothing against illu88, and no one can blame him for winning a prize when he was included from the outset.

Of course nobody anticipated him actually winning the whole thing, had he received £3 like most others this issue wouldn't have been brought up.



The *fault* lies with the host of this competition for allowing rules to be circumvented and making an exception. I understand people's outrage but the buck stops with Yits for only dropping in twice a year and obviously not paying much heed to, well, much of anything around here.

Will be interesting to see what happens here. Clearly the winner shouldn't have won, and to me, the ONLY fair thing to do is give another top prize to the real winner, it wouldn't be fair to remove it from the person who already had it. Its Yits mistake and he should make good to the real winner.
Considering how often he logs in, we hopefully should have an answer from him in around July.

As you can see from the reactions here and what you've been able to read in earlier posts, I must say I'm surprised that you just say thank you to the winnings.

I've sent Yits another email and begged him to make this right. I think he must have been too busy to read our posts, because I can't find any other explanation.
If he doesn't make it right tomorrow I've cleared with Max that it's ok to Pab, and well, maybe we all could do it

Indeed Colin, about as accurate a post on this matter as you're likely to see. I too would urge Yits to fund the 2nd player's account to rectify this situation and everyone's happy

I completely agree. Yits CLEARLY stated the rules of the game prior to the start and HE did not stick with them by giving the spins to a player who didn't qualify. Fair enough. He then compounded the error by giving first prize to the player that didn't qualify for the spins in the first place. He really ought to give the person who got the second highest win (the rightful winner in my opinion) the first prize money as well. I know it's not the winners fault here and I am not bashing him. BUT casinos are always on about us sticking to the rules and then they go and pull this and not stick to their own rules???? I am at a loss for words.

And I do believe that rules should be adhered to, not made up on the fly. No one appreciates a good active rep more than us lot, but they have to be just that, and pay attention to detail and concerns of the forum. They are not immune to criticism and shouldn't be made out to be rockstars just for making fleeting, harf-arsed appearances

I am not arguing against the validity of your argument. It appears that there have been a number of exclusive promo's where the Rep must end up having a right headache. I simply want these promo's to continue as well as new promo's from other casino's. Not put them off.

I don't think anyones been harsh. the rules were clear. The winner shouldn't have won, the person who did really win hasn't got his prize.
As for a busy rep not having time, I'm sorry but it was pointed out earlier in the thread the (non)winner wasn't eligible and takes about 10 seconds to click on a profile and see how many posts someone had before the start of the comp. Even if Yits didn't have time to do it for every player, he should have before awarding the prizes?

I have nothng against the winner that really should not of qualified but feel for the 2nd spot player, I would be fuming and calling for a recall as its Its bang out of order really. I am not even sure Yits has picked up on this.

Thats a fine example to show how T&C's should work, People said we should not be blaming the player, I somewhat disagree as he obvious read the rules to the comp and ignored them.

Yits is guilty of not being active enough and not following the rules of his own competition . But one or two posts are taking it further than that.

You will see i made posts a year or two back saying exact same as yourself about the way Reps get treated at times. I think its now getting to the stage where bar the odd Rep most are clearly only doing enough to retain their accredited status and the way its going i wouldnt be to surprised if the few active posting Reps go the same way as the rest.

Their are still threads asking why Reps arent active and why the number of exclusive promotions are far fewer.

Really do not have to be a genius to work out the reason.

Anyway that was my one and only post on the matter as i know what normally follows and can not be bothered today.

Normally when casinos do exclusive promotions they take an active interest in the posts on that thread. Betat comes to mind, always checking in and cheering on etc. Yits posted once when he started the competition and didn't check back. If he did he would have seen that the player who won a lot on the spins wasn't eligible for the promo and he could have then said you can keep the winnings but you are not in the running for the main prize. He didn't do this.

Add to the free spins promo that players had to deposit and wager to win and then admitting a mistake on what the meaning of level 10 meant and not doing anything to rectify it.

Lastly Guts had the most difficult to understand Christmas promo which sucked for most players. Anybody would be annoyed at the Rep for this. Most of the posts on this thread and the other are constructive criticism and not nasty. You can also take the view that reps are really active in order to get their casinos off the ground and then back off the forum doing the bare minimum because they got what they need. I am not saying that this is the case I am just saying that there are two sides to the coin/story and you can't be blaming the membership from scaring Reps away.

I think that I have hardly missed a meister depositing promo offered in here since I joined. Some promo's have utterly bombed due to lack of interest which is not encouraging at all.
