I just played Thai Paradise for the first time...and quite possibly the last time.

Now don't get me wrong....I did have a feeling it was high variance given the mystery scatter feature in the free spins appears to have the ability to pay out HUGE amounts (big enough to be posting a screenie in the Show Me The Money thread or even the Mega Wins thread, especially if the Thai girl is your scatter). But still, I wasn't expecting it to be as harsh as it was.

So if you have any experience of this slot, please tell me if the stats shows below are "normal" for Thai Paradise or if I just caught it in "a really bad mood".

The strange thing was, after 101 spins, I got my only free spins round. Which ended with me in profit...to the tune of £1 lol.

I cannot for the life of me remember a session as brutal as that in my near 3 years of slotting online. And I've played games like Avalon 2, IR, GWG 1 and 2, Great Blue, TFROL, The Dark Knight, Marvel Progressives, Tiger's Eye and Jurassic Park.

When the session ended, I didn't feel angry or frustrated. It was more like rattled and dare I say it, shellshocked.

So the question is.....was I just (very) unlucky or does Thai Paradise have a reputation for being one of the most brutal slots out there?

I have got 4 of the thai girl in the free spin feature before when she was the symbol and I love this slot forever more.

Really you just got UL dude. Its high variance. Book of Ra deluxe on Novomatic is one of these type of slots as well, love them.

Played it several times before at coral and few other places and its pretty much the same game as Hawaiian treasure. Ive went hundreds of spins before with it eating my money like yourself to hit free spins and it gives me the lowest 3 paying symbols without even 4 of a kind to pay next to nothing. Other times ive had the free spins like 3 times in 10 spins and got the five of a kind of the ladies a few times I the spins with other wins. Think best its paid me was about £150 on a 20p spin. Maybe it is high variance not sure as never really thought about it. Normally only a game I would go to when short of funds to bet low and try to get balance up as sites like coral don't have games like starbust ot any decent 9line slots.

Is this the playtech game where you have to land symbol on reel 1 and reel 5 to trigger free spins? If so I have just played it once but I did get a good return and left it think 100x my bet within a couple of spins so sounds as though you were really unlucky.

No dave. I think it's basically a 15-line version of Sultan's Gold. The scatter is also a wild and you need three scatters (on any reels) to trigger free spins.

For the record, I should point out that on one occasion I did win exactly 1000x bet on Sultan's Gold (a 4 scatter hit during free spins where the top-paying Sultan symbol was the mystery scatter). For those who never saw it, Sultan's Gold was the slot where metaxa(?) had that unreal £200,000 hit earlier this year. £40 bet a spin (that was an eye opener in itself for me ), free spins triggered, Sultan became the mystery scatter, and then 5 Sultans came in for a 5000x bet hit. YIKES!!

I've also had some bad sessions on it too. But nothing that was even close to "33% to 42% RTP bad". I have to assume that I had the misfortune to have caught Thai Paradise at it's absolute foulest mood last night, rather than thinking that it is "normally" this bad.
