I hate it when you log into a casino and the new T&C's pop up but they don't actually tell you what has changed. WTF is the point of that.

I've been onto live chat, asked what the changes are, she told me to read the new one, how the hell am I supposed to remember every word from the old ones? So I asked for a link to the old ones and got

Unfortunately the old one is already updated so there is no link to that one. You have accepted the old one, and now we just want our players to read through the updated one. If there is something you don't agree with, you don't have to accept the terms. But for now the old Terms and Conditions are not available anymore.

ME : so why can't you just tell me the changes?

Casumo-Jade

And the spending budget was one of our limits that wasn't really in use so we deleted that one. The limits that are now available can be seen on the Play Okay -section. On top of that there was just small changes to for example games added to the Bonus Terms etc.

I see nothings been posted by the rep in the T&C's changes section either

Rest of chat

Casumo-Jade

Hi there!

ME : Hiya, I've just logged into my account and got a 'terms and conditions have been updated' box. Click to accept. Can you tell me specifically what has changed please?

Me : hello?

Casumo-Jade

Sorry for the delay, got a bit busy suddenly

Just a second please! :)

ME : thanks

Casumo-Jade

Okay so for example the Spending budget has now been removed, the others are still available as normal

Me : ok, thanks, but I don't know what that is, what spending budget? Could you list all the changes, before and after please, I'm not sure why you think people should just agree to changes without saying what they are :(

Casumo-Jade

It's just that we want you to read the terms again and acempt them again, it's not about the changes, just that you are aware of the things that are updated! :)

accept*

So please read the terms and conditions through

Me : There are 18 long sections, how am I supposed to know what has changed? do you have a link to the old ones so I can compare them please

Casumo-Jade

ok, thank you

Personally I don't think adding games to the bonus terms is a small change, and don't see why they can't just tell people exactly what has changed. Or, even better, when you login have a list of the changes.

Yup, it's annoying as hell, especially as updated terms are generally not pro- player.

However, it may well be to do with universal changes across the board. Thusly:

Ahh yes well in which case they do it because of a mixture of laziness and hoping to catch players out :D

A simple red- highlighted text in the new terms, or just a short synopsis of the changes would be chipper.

Instead, they throw in these amendments into the existing terms knowing no one in their right mind would re-read it, never mind spot the difference.....

Would love to see the UKGC 'notice' this urine- extraction by many casinos and prevent them from changing their terms on a whim. It's getting farcical with what they can get away with. How about quotas of no more than 30% of games being prohibited and terms not being changeable more than once a year for starters

Exactly, what makes this worse is the fact support wouldn't tell me what the changes were either, I had to push to get the limited information they gave me, which wasn't exactly helpful.

Maybe @Casumo Casino @CasumoAffiliates @CasumoAndy can specify what they are?

Just for future reference (and because I think it’s blooming marvellous), this website captures a record of pages that are altered giving a history for you to browse:

I used it to prove that Staybet had updated their t and c but kept the ‘ammended’ date the same.

Weirdly the pop up has disappeared from Casumo without me accepting it, obviously they are happy for me to continue on the old ones :)

Unfortunately a lot of casinos block it from crawling the site, Casumo seems to be one.

I find it incredible that no one at Casumo seems to know what the T&C changes are. 2 reps have read the thread but haven't replied, and I emailed support, and got this reply

To be honest Colin,

All I can do is point you to the Current T's and C's as the Gaming Commission Regulations can change quite regularly. The General Game Play Terms are the same though.

Well that was helpful ffs.
Wonder what they are hiding...

Maybe

3.6. Casumo reserves the right to perform background checks on any player and request any relevant documentation, at all times and, for any reason, including (but not limited to) any investigation into the identity of the player, any credit checks performed on the player, or any enquiries into the player’s personal history. The basis for such investigations will be dependent on the specific case, but could include (but is not limited to) verification of the player’s registration details, such as the name, address and age, occupation, verification of the player’s financial transactions, financial standing, source of wealth, source of funds and/or gaming activity. Casumo is under no obligation to advise the player of such an investigation taking place. Such activities may include the use of specific third party companies, who perform the investigations as required. Casumo may decide at its sole discretion to terminate a player’s account, and withhold all funds in such account, on the basis that such an investigation provides a negative or uncertain conclusion.

So basically they can ask another company to investigate you, without telling you, and if they don't actually prove you have done anything wrong, they can just seize your money anyway
I don't remember seeing that before (it might have been but I'm sure I would have picked up on it) and I've double checked another couple of casinos I use and they don't have a term like that.

Also, as we have seen recently, withdrawal times seem to have changed :(

5.6. The time for a withdrawal request to be finalised may vary due to circumstances, however a withdrawal attempt should be approved or denied within three (3) days.

Keep losing and you will be fine.
Make a withdrawal, well then lets see how many terms and conditions can thrown at you.
