Taking a break -) see you in 6 months time.

Well just to say im now on a 6 month break from all things gambling. Its been allot of fun here the past 2 years or more since i got back on the forum but I have seen an increase in my online play which I am not happy with over the past 2 months or so. I have had some great wins ... and some losses ... thing is you win quite big then some or most of it goes back. Im probably financially even this year on casinos but the problem is - its taking me away from my work. Which right now needs attention.

Even when winning it meant spending hours away from my job. Self employed so its way too easy to loose track of time. And finally today enough is enough for me right now. I did also blow my brains out loosing back around £700 on "bonanaza" it was money already won but I have just lost nearly a full days work because of it. And with that potential earnings. This aint an easy post to write or an easy choice, as I love the game and love partaking in this forum. but for now I have to put other things first. But If I dont take this break now I know where this ends ... and it aint pretty!!

Loosing all these days at work I simply cant afford and to be honest it messes with my mind. And when I have long sessions gambling, I find it hard to sleep or focus. Which is pretty crap

So im going to bury my head in my work, go abroad a while ( I can work from anywhere with a wi-fi connection ) and get my head straight. I suppose I have always been right on the edge with gambling and need to know when to stop.

I have also closed down all my accounts aside from video slots which has been like a second home to me but alas that has to go to. That pretty much will be me shut out from gambling until next year!

I dont want my account moved to quit gambling as I am still going to Lurk and will be returning but not until the end of January 2018. I will also "maybe" hit the meister meet again next year. Maybe if my account shows as "on a break from gambling" that would do it. But I will still be happy to read the forums from time to time , but wont be partaking for the next 6 months.

Been a real blast and im gonna miss hanging around here but hey ho I have to reclaim my life back.

Good to see members around here make these tough decisions with resolve, and stick to them. Shows how they control gambling and not the other way round, and best yet they see the effects it has on their lifestyles and put an end to it. Kudos

Awesome! As being self employed, I know easy it is to get distracted from important things. We are our own boss, and not very good ones if we slack. I too will be getting back on track. I have 2 articles to get writing on. Happy working, see you next year!

I sometimes wish I could do what you're doing now, even if it was for one month. My work includes translating content for a gambling affiliate, so I am never completely free of it.

Thanks for inspiring me to go on a break too from playing

This year have been fantastic with winnings, travelling, shopping, playing, winning a bit more, shopping a bit more...
I get what you're saying. It can almost take over your life, and actually steal time that you should use on other things.
For me that other thing is my camera, and it doesn't help that I've bought a new lens or a photo printer if I don't use it

A few months will do it for me and a few accounts already closed, but I'll stay in the forum this time...and a new photoblog is on the way up

I wish I had a few extra hours in my day as I know this gambling busness took 3 quaters of my life away. Last few months I not played or been on here much and what I have got done in that time is unreal. I am no better of but I have nether ask for much in my life any way or expect it. I just do what I do

I been online gambling now knocking on 15 years, same fuking routine, but I give up now as its a bloody waste, I depo like 10 quid to 25£ at a time which is penuts but end of the week it was like 1k down, them peanuts soon add up when keep repeating depo every few minutes

I had that win the other day of 10 free spins won less than 40p had a spin and had 10p left so starburst it was which is luky as any thing less I could not of done as you can not changed lines no more and of that 10p spin I win like 25£ than went to IR and won a few hundred due to no depo in long time on the site I had to depo £20 and was the first 20 I depo in weeks and guess what happens we all know what happens but took 100 out `which was lucky

Than a fellow member on here stuck a few quick in my account, Thank you Dave, For what its worth I not ask for anhink of any one in my life or need it but it was nice to receive something out the blue which I suck 20 in DrV and gone in a blink of an eye and thats including the 40 I won of the free spins for depo

And another reason I not really gamble no more as that was over £60 quid gone in minutes and the other day with that 300 I got up to and lost over 200 in minutes, 200 notes is a few hard days work for me

If I was giving 300 quid I would not go and put 200 of it in casino, so why do we feking just play i like its fake cash ? and thats the reason why casino do good business
