Banned for being a troll and disrespecting admin

The moderators and I had a vote and decided enough was enough. It's always the same - a personal attack, and then a reprieve, then rinse and repeat. This has been going on for years and I have loads of complaints from other members who are just sick and tired of it to no end.I can not condone Ben's recent post but permanently banning one of the handful of consistent posters who produces responses to a site that is slowly getting even quieter is not really conducive to keeping a very niche and much less frequented website by your industry alive.
Especially when your core contributors are turning their backs on the very Countries that keep this industry and your forum alive due to mandatory rules and regulations imposed on them.
Sorry, this is nonsense. You are welcome to discuss any issue here - just as long as you respect this foum and its members.I’m new here and I totally agree, it seems talking about affiliation related issues is a very touchy subject and if your not onside your a gonna
Ben is welcome to start his own forum elsewhere. I just won't tolerate his disrespectful behaviour anymore - he knew this and chose to ignore the scores of warnings and previous bans. You aren't seeing the complaints from your fellow members, I do - and I am not ignoring them.I thought it was just a two week ban?
P.S. A quick glance around and it seems it is permanent after all.
Thanks for your measured reply. I do appreciate that running a forum is a big juggling act.The moderators and I had a vote and decided enough was enough. You either behave yourself and be a part of this community in a civil manner, or you don't - simple as that. Calling a member here "scum" degrades this forum - it tarnishes our reputation as a leading player community, and I just won't stand for it any more.
If you want a trash talking troll infested forum, I am sure there are loads out there you can partake in. This is not one of them, and never will be.
As for your off-the-cuff comment about this forum being quiet, I don't get where you are getting your information from. The forum traffic has increased with the participation about the same. But you do realize that when folks call other people "scum" you're not going to get newbies to sign up or participate.
You can't have it both ways.
Yes I agree, my post was not in Ben’s defence in anyway. Merely relaying the message as I thought it stood but a quick look around told me different.Ben is welcome to start his own forum elsewhere. I also said it will at least 2 weeks break, even more if I still will not feel comfortable playing.
I know how gambling addiction works, otherwise I wouldn't be able to take a break, because if you've got an addiction, there is not way you can stop playing, and that's why it is called an addiction, i.e. something you have no control over.
I agree that its advertising, but the streamer equivalent of an alcohol commercial would probably encourage people to drink like this:Here's the thing about streamers/affiliates: it's advertising.
Yes it's a newer, more sneaky means of advertising but every industry does it now.
If you have a problem with streamers glamorizing slots then you need to ask yourself why don't beer commercials show guys puking into the toilet the next morning, why McDonald's ads don't show a morbidly obese 40yo having a heart attack or why luxury car commercials don't feature dudes with small dicks.
And hell- maybe they should, but unless communism somehow outlives capitalism then it's just another little reminder that we all worship at the altar of the almighty dollar.
Not the it matters all that much, but i think it was actually only 9 days. (i may have miscounted tho)Unfortunately, yes.
I was able to keep myself from gambling only for 10 days, instead of planned 14.

Does this mean you wont get back to advertising gambling until your have gotten your own gambling under control?
You said the only reason you could take a 2 week break (more if you didnt feel comfortable after 2 weeks) was because you were in control and not an addict.
And i think you would agree that someone whos not in control of their own gambling is probably the last person who should advertise it to others.
Anyway, i hope you get the help you need, and that it all works out for the best.
Why would you want to advertise casinos if theres nothing in it for you?I think you have a good point here, and I will need to think through why I broke my own rules, i.e. started playing earlier than I was going to. Was it because I again felt comfortable with gambling, or because I couldn't resist the urge to play? One part of me tells that if I wasn't able to control it, I wouldn't even last a day, but on the other side, I didn't follow my own rules, which is clearly not what I wanted.
Just to repeat myself, I didn't lose more than I could afford, but that loss was "too much and too fast". And all the money I'm losing is my own money, since I'm not making anything from the affiliation.

I am in profit since turn of year - but not healthy - miniscule.Remember the days on here a few years ago when you would people in healthy profit for the year, and quite regularly too. Out of interest is anyone (non-streamer) in that boat?
