...or I maybe should ask who will stay and who will leave?

Sweden will have its own license from January 2019. That's fine for me/us. Finally some control ;)

I know that both 32Red and Trada will close down for us, but I only know that Videoslots will have a license so far. Anyone else?

I would appreciate anyone who have more information about staying or leaving to write that in this thread :)

Hey Tirilej!

There will be a lot of brands AFAIK, we are also in the process of applying for it. And I heard there is already like 70+ online casinos pending applications.

So in short - I believe you will have HUGE choice :)

On the sad note - AFAIK bonuses will be allowed only once per account / per license.

Br,

Vitali

We are waiting for one more document to be processed and the license is issued. Company will have the license so all brands participate.

I stopped using bonuses a long time ago so for me it's fine :)

Thanks for that address. 23 so far.

It looks like I can stay :D

Bit surprised how many big companies still haven't got license application. Know it's not easy and demands are again bit different there, but Christmas holidays coming soon so not too much time to get ready 1st of January. Quite many seem to have it already so shouldn't be mission impossible, can imagine that not great if you as operator have to pull your games of from Sweds even from short period. Best of luck to all to get licenses soon as possible.

Can some one please tell what that licence thing actually means for swedish players? Here in your neighbour seems like no one knows what it actually means when you are opening your markets.

The new gambling regulations in brief
  • The gambling market is divided into the following parts:
    • one part covering online gambling and betting
    • one part covering gambling that has a public benefit, such as lotteries and land-based bingo,
    • one part that is controlled by the Swedish state, such as land-based casinos and token machines.
  • A gambling operator that has been granted a licence must protect players from excessive gambling, duty of care. This should include monitoring behaviours and, as necessary, helping players to limit their gambling.
  • A bonus may only be offered by a licence holder on the first gambling occasion.
  • Via the gambling authority, a player shall be able to exclude himself or herself from gambling with all licence holders in Sweden.
  • The Swedish Gambling Authority shall be able to request the blocking of payments and determine that an online operator must display a warning message on websites that are not licensed in Sweden.
  • A new criminal offense, cheating at gambling, is being introduced to deter match fixing.
  • Betting will be forbidden on events featuring young people under the age of 18.
  • Marketing of gambling must be moderate and not be specifically targeted at people under the age of 18 or individuals who have excluded themselves from gambling.
  • Licensed operators shall pay a tax of 18% of the profit they make on gambling in Sweden. Gambling that has a public benefit shall remain free of tax.

Anyone know how it will be with marketing from those who don't have a license? As it has been up to now then they have been free to do whatever they want.

Blocking of payments was interesting and I wonder if that's why Neteller have removed Trustly.

Basically there will be no more bonuses, responsible gaming will become very important, players would be able to be excluded from a game if they prefer, there will be less games to be played, there will be less providers, there will be less casinos to play at. And I think that soon they can only use bankID to register and/or login. E.g. new accounts in 2019 cannot login with a username and PW on our end. Only with their BankID. Previous customers can though.

I think thats most.

Most work is for operators.

Less games, less providers? What why?
Exclude from a game, now that have I wanted to do many times :)

Games have specific requirements as well, so operators won't have all games ready on the 1st.
I can imagine if a game is not profitable, the provider wont even release the games for Sweden.

Wow, I have heard a lot but not that at all. I just hope we will be able to keep BTG :)

Sorry for quoting you twice but it's not about removing autoplay or quickspin is it? If that is the case I guess I will be quitting anyway.

There's still plenty of 1668/JAZ casinos that will take your money, offering Swedish games from Netent and Play'n Go...:D - well, versions of them anyway.
I think it will all be OK when it settles down. I assume your allowed casinos can feed in games from servers licensed in the UK or other recognized jurisdictions?

Deary me, what are some of those f*ke streamers from Sweden going to do when they don't get their bonuses any more??

I've been going through as much as I could read now and couldn't find anything about removing autoplay or quickspin though....just bonuses. Yes poor those streamers :p

Each spin will take 3 seconds, quickspin is gone.
Furthermore autoplay is restricted to 100 spins.

So no more Netent for me then, and three seconds. I guess I have to start counting what games I will have the patience to play :)
I never set the autoplay at 100 so that's no problem. As long as it exist it's fine. I maybe can use that when playing the slow games then and clean the house while it spins :p

It seem like it's time to quit soon anyway and concentrate on my pictures instead, so no harm done. It's good for most players anyway...and it's good for Sweden!

Im abit worried too here, why havnt my favorites VideoSlots and Rizk sent out information about this to players? Any VideoSlots or Rizk reps here that can say something about this? /M
