Statement from Flaviano - CEO of Gambling Federation
    Dear Members of the Forum

Gambling Federation would like to offer our response to issues raised in the Casinomeister forum entitled, Gambling Federation Malware.

While our actions were not justified, readers of this message thread should know that Gambling Federation is a victim of an orchestrated attack to mislead our players. Over the past few months, we received numerous complaints from our players enquiring about unsolicited promotional e-mail delivered to a players e-mail address that was used only to communicate with Gambling Federation casinos. After reviewing the complaints from our players, it become apparent that one of our ex-employees was inappropriately and unethically stealing part of our player list, contacting our players and promoting non-Gambling Federation casinos.

We recognize that are actions were based on emotive judgment; we reacted to an unethical attack by applying the same philosophy with which our company was unfairly attacked. Regardless of our reasoning, we would like to extend our apologies to the investors and employees of Gambling Federation and in particular all our players and affiliates that have contributed to the success of our company over the years.

Gambling Federation continues to be committed to the free market and responsible business practices. We are also convinced that time will clearly demonstrate that we were in fact a victim in this matter. We will never use and have never used any tactics toward a legitimate and reputable competitor, like the vast majority of our competitors.

We want also like to thank our colleagues and associates that have communicated, publicly and privately, their support for Gambling Federation over the past few days.

    Best Regards,
    Talia Paschini
    Gambling Federation PR Manager

Let me be the first to say bull shit.

This is far out of my field of expertise, and if you search my posts you will find probably zero 4 letter words but I think it is the only way to respond to this. You try to come out and say YOU are the victim here? If you were a poker room this would surely put you out of business. I can only figure that over time this stunt will do the same thing to you. Blocking out the competition by breaching users privacy. SICK!

I have not spoken on this topic here and I felt after reading this post I had to respond with my opinion. I would hope you will be rogued on every portal on the net for this. No matter what provoked you, this is unacceptable. What else have you done that you have not been caught doing yet?

Let me be the second to say bullshit.

How does malware installation prevent affiliate spam?

Would you have continued to infect your customers' computers indefinately if you hadn't been caught?

And why are you posting this as a separate thread, when you're simply repeating the same thing you said in the other thread, and which was no more accepted as remotely credible by anyone there than it will be here?

Hopefully NOW the powers-that-are will heed this and take the appropriate action over Gambling Fereration - already well overdue.

EDIT: LOL, she posted it in the other thread as well. Maybe she thought people would read this thread, feel sorry for the poor "victims" at Gambling Federation and pass over all the damning evidence in the main thread?

    Nice try. Won't work.

To Begin with, the computer on my desk belongs to me. ITS NOT YOUR PROPERTY Flaviano Fogli

Its not my fault that Gambling Federation is not responsible enough to keep their customer or credit card information in a safe place. You should contacted your former employee months ago...

If I constantly get spam or unsolicited mail for a non wanted sender I just simply block him, if problem persist I report it to the proper authority. (NOT YOU)

What you did is UNETHICAL unless the player has given Gambling Federation explicit permission to do so. Absent explicit permission, this practice should be banned and Gambling Federation should be black listed in the entire web.

Creating a malicious program Flaviano Fogli is not a standard business practice its invasion of privacy.

Who are you ? who gave you permission To violate my privacy right, its not you who decides which websites my wife and I can have access to.

Gambling Federation you are guilty of an UNFORGIVABLE breach of trust, UNFORGIVABLE invasion of privacy and an UNFORGIVABLE invasion of clients PCs.

If you survive this you dont deserve to.

Its hard enough protecting a PC from malicious cr@p that floats around the net from porn sites, trojans and all sorts of scammers/organised crime barons trying to hack your computer.

But when malware is included in a "reputable" online casino's download that is worse than the above.

Shame on you, you know what you were doing and thought you would get away with it, but you got busted by underestimating the knowledgeable people who (thank goodness) post on this forum. GOOD RIDDENCE

Ok, Let me see if I got this straight. An ex-employee steals account information from their casino and sells the mailing list to competing casinos.

    Uh huh....that sucks.

I assume that this means that GF would NEVER under any circumstances purchase a customer list stolen from cryptologic.

Yeah, right. Give me a break.

There is absolutely no excuse for what they did. If Talia did her job and took 10 minutes to make a call to the actual developer who added the hosts file modifications to their install routine, he surely could have explained to her that his modifications would do nothing to prevent spam. At least then her 'spin control' wouldn't have made her sound so inept.

I hope that symentec takes the files that have been forwarded to them and classifies all of these casinos as trojan programs. It'll be pretty hard for GF to get any new users if their antivirus software prevents them from installing the casino's software.

Have fun GF...I hope your actions result in the demise of your business.

it's a shame i'm not an operator of one of those casinos GF blocked. if i was i'd be on the phone right now with my best lawyer, preparing a civil lawsuit seeking punitive damages caused by GF's illegal business practices and deliberate sabotage, resulting in loss of revenue from existing and potential customers for the said casino...

if i was a bookmaker i'd put the over/under at 7 minutes for the time it will take for a canadian court to deliver a verdict

...oops, was i thinking aloud again??? :D

This entire mess with Gambling Federation is reprehensible and there can never be any justification, whatsoever.

At the most fundamental level, Gambling Federation was responsible for the utmost care, security and trust of players and player information. The security, care and trust was violated INITIALLY when an employee was able to walk away with "secure" information (if indeed we are to believe this horrendous story).

*It should be pointed out that in this message from Flaviano, the level of theft is not elaborated upon. Was it only players email addresses or did it go deeper into personal information? This is an issue that cannot be ignored.

With the theft of this "secure" information, supposedly a "spam campaign" was launched by the former GFed employee, in an effort to lure GFed players away. When GFed realizes this occurrance, their actions were self-indulgent, retaliatory, and FURTHER detrimental to those players already suffering damage. It is beyond comprehension why Gambling Federation did not IMMEDIATELY contact its player base, warning of this breach in security. Rather than show concern for those who may have been harmed, GFed set forth to seek its childish and greed-motivated revenge by further damaging their player base in what can be described as a sinister, invasive, illegal and unethical manner. If this does not scream rogue, I don't really know what does, then.

What is even more disturbing about this is that upper management at best knew about the move to malware--at worst, this was done by upper management's edict. I honestly was hoping that this was not the case, as the implications of these actions are so incredibly devestating to this industry.

As Flaviano Fulga is a newly-appointed member to the Board of the Interactive Gaming Council (IGC), this action is particularly unsettling. The IGC is best known for it's lobbying efforts to advance the issues of online gambling, worldwide. With this in mind, the Gambling Federation debaucle is just the sort of thing that the US Government can have a field day with in its efforts to stop online gambling.

The IGC has a strict Code of Conduct (You must register/login in order to see the link.), in which article #3 states:

I feel with this, it is incumbant upon the IGC to demand Flaviano and Gambling Federation step down from any involvement with this organization. Similarly, the IGGB should renounce GFed's involvement, there, as well. Further, I feel equally strongly that the industry must make a very loud stance against this sort of behaviour.
