Spring Meetup at Mohegan for Stars NAPT

We're organizing a meetup of PokerNations and Twitter Poker Tour (TPT) members this spring at Mohegan Sun Casino in CT during the newly minted PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT)

Some will be entering a donkament together and others may just play cash games. But we'll likely have an official gathering and perhaps do a lunch or dinner together as well. Rizen is also interested in attending, which would be pretty sweet.

Won't know the exact date(s) until they release the schedule of specific events (at the moment they only list the satellites for the main event)

I have a conference call with Mohegan Sun management on the 21st, so with any luck I'll manage to work out a positive arrangement.

But appreciate your offer of better room rates should we need it. So far it seems most attendees are commuting (we have a large concentration of east coast members at PokerNations and in the Twitter Poker Tour)

So far the $340 survivor event on Sat April 3rd at noon seems to be the favorite pick (1 in 10 wins $3,000 playing that event, so there is no 1st, 2nd, etc)

The NAPT will be on tv On Monday, April 19 from 10pm– 12am ET

NAPT on ESPN2

ESPN2 will televise 16 original hours of the groundbreaking poker tour, as well as multiple reruns, featuring all the NAPT stops, including the PokerStars.net Caribbean Adventure.

ESPN2's coverage of the first event at the Venetian will also include the unique $25,000 buy-in Invitational High Roller Bounty Shootout tournament. This event will feature 36 of the biggest names in poker battling it out for a spot at a winner-take-all final table.


On Monday, April 19 from 10pm – 12am ET, don’t miss the premier airing of the North American Poker Tour on ESPN2.

The first ever NAPT event on American soil attracted a total opening field of 872 players, generating a prize pool worth over $4 million. Some of the best poker players from around the world took to the tables for the $5,000 buy-in Main Event, including Team PokerStars: PROs Daniel Negreanu, Joe Cada, Vanessa Rousso and Chris Moneymaker, all playing to become the inaugural NAPT Champion and take the $827,648 first prize!

This event also introduced the first ever NAPT High Stakes Bounty Shootout. The $25,000 buy-in event featured 49 of the game’s best players, all competing in small single table rounds where the victor moves on and everyone else goes home. Each time someone is knocked out, the player who dealt the final blow wins their $5,000 bounty!
