Your aim should be to get one spin completed every 3 seconds as this is the speed set by Microgaming. It seems related to some UK responsible gambling standard that spins should be no less than 3 seconds apart, but strange that MGS decided to adopt this for the tournaments, but not for real money play.
If your average time per spin exceeds 3 seconds, then there is room for tweaking.
The LAST thing you want to do is use the convenient autoplay function as this actually makes your spins slower.

Whatever solution these players are using, they are making sure to keep within this 3 second limit, else they would be getting punished and having far more than zero coins left.
It is surprising that some casinos STILL set up their tournaments in a way that grants an advantage to players that can tweak their rig to attain 3 second spins, rather than adding more time to ensure that ALL players can make the spins they have coins for. Maybe they realise that players with the tweaks WILL go for it by buying as many continues as it takes, and that levelling the playing field will put these same players off buying so many continues as they will have no advantage over the field.
