Domain name associated with this website has only been registered yesterday and I am getting spammed promoting Thrills.

Anybody else experience the same?

Yep, same here in last half hour or so. Already blocked it and set up a filter to send it straight for deletion!

The link in the email goes to:

hxxps://www.thrills.com/gb/promo/thrills_spring_bonus?btag=656438_529AF1475A3A48449772E3D9CDABBEAD

Hope that this identifies this spamming affiliate. I have made the casino rep aware of this topic.

Usually this 6-digit number is the affy ID.

And another spam email from the same affiliate. Still promoting Thrills casino with the not so tempting offer of 20 spins on Starburst :eek::eek2:

These idiots are now spamming me again and promoting Guts casino.

Link in email: hxxps://campaigns.guts.com/?btag=a_7438b_1655c_

I have made Yits at Guts aware of this so they can deal with this affiliate and hopefully close their account down.

The irony of it all is that Guts closed my account earlier this year so the promotion in the email would have been no good to me in any case.

I have a thread here somewhere where you can report these spamulous bastards to the casino rep. and many get their accounts closed. Just save the e-mail.

Two days later and Guts hasn't even bothered to read my message above nor bothered to read by Private Message making them aware of this spammer.

For an accredited casino that is disappointing to say the least

Spam guys were contacted to cease and desist a while back by our affiliate manager - please let us know if any more come through as they had no right to send emails in our name - I've seen it before sadly, and no doubt will see it again.

I think Yits is on holiday . Maybe Captain Rizk can confirm this..

If it's not allowed you should close their account to make the idiots suffer.
They maybe won't send us spam from your casino anymore but you can be sure they still will send us offers.

I'll chase to see if such action has or can be taken - all I really got to hear was they were contacted and dealt with - never really personally got involved in the details tbth

Yeah just got told that those in question have promised no more email blasts - thus far they have kept their word and if they breach it we'll likely take more drastic action.

Well that's good for you since you don't need to hear more of our complaints. It doesn't help us though.
Thanks for checking at least

It depends on how blatant their spamming was. If they knowingly and deliberately set up to spam, it should be instant closure of their account. It does seem that they knew what they were doing in setting up a domain and immediately using it to pump out spam, as opposed to them believing they were acting properly and in good faith, but inadvertently crossing the line in their enthusiasm.

They first off started to promote Thrills by means of spam emails. They were then dealt with by them (not sure how). They then moved to your casino and you dealt with them but not by closing their affiliate account. That is disappointing because they had already form regarding spam. They knew what they were doing, were told off my another casino, but you appear to have given them another chance. Not good enough in my opinion.

Hey,

I can't really make that decision, but have sent the thread to our affiliate manager. I'll be straight with you - if this is the condition that our affiliate manager has set to these people, and they don't breach it anymore - then they are sticking to their word with us and I see no blatant reason for us to shut them down. We are responsible to ensure the affiliates linked to us act responsibly and sensibly with our players. We've asked them to do just that and in light of that I find it hard to insist on shutting them down entirely to punish them, so to speak - the anger it generates however is much more hardcore than I would expect - so as I said it'll go back to our aff team, and the decision simply lies with them.

Hope you understand where I'm coming from.

They are nothing more than a bunch of spammers hoping to cash in. Look at it from our point of view. They must have bought an email list and within days of registering a domain they are sending mass emails. If that is not an intent to spam, I don't know what is.

Your choice what you do with this kind of affiliate of course. I said my piece and leave it at that.

No worries, it's been sent through as promised - spoke to my aff manager 10 mins ago.

My take on it (don't forget I too get showered in spam :p) is that if you choose to blast emails to a legally purchased list, at least make the unsubscribe clearly visible and make sure it works. I don't like receiving them either, but I do enjoy clicking that delete button!

I guess money talks? I have read the terms of very affiliate agreement I have, and ALL specifically prohibit the sending of unsolicited spam, A, because it's illegal and B, because it's not how any decent casino wants to be promoted. Obviously a big affiliate....

The anger is "hardcore" because of the draconian zero tolerance of even the slightest breach when it's a PLAYER, yet affiliates are seen getting all this leeway. A player bets 1p over the max bet - winnings confiscated, an affiliate deliberately sets up a spamming option - gets to keep his "winnings" (his account is not closed and he benefits from the sign ups delivered via the spam), and is merely told "don't do it again".

This is no innocent mistake either, this affiliate is deliberately jumping from one program to the next, spamming, then moving on to the next program when told "don't do it again". They are being rewarded because each time they get to keep the fruits of their spam burst, even if they dare not risk doing it again for the same program.
