I have been playing a long time as well. Almost 13 or 14 years. In all that time I was only ever asked for I D once. that was in September. And I only provided the front of the licence and it was accepted.

I never once stated to support that I wanted to close the account NOW.
I always made it clear that I would do so AFTER I get through verification.
I don't know how that can be misunderstood.
