Does anyone have any experience with South American and Central American Hosting companies? I am looking for ideally a shared server platform for a number of South American targetted sites ( First one is linked in my sig ;) ). Currently using Hostgator in the US, but would be good to be able to locate the sites in the country which they are targetted towards.

    Thanks!

I have seen nothing to suggest that basing servers locally makes any real difference in terms of SEO benefits. If you are doing it for other reasons then please carry on :)

I've followed your advice @conker - Seems like too much hassle and expense, especially if no tangible benefit.

So far since I started this thread, in my 'limited' experience, I am currently of the view that dedicated hosting in South America does not provide the benefits that require it necessary. Will keep you posted though.

Wouldn't a cloud server solve this?
