Something to meditate upon...

This happened to me at 32Red yesterday, deposited 35 tried to claim the 100% match on the bonus page but it wouldnt work so live chat did it manually,
When i noticed my balance they had put 70 in by mistake
so back on live chat, got it sorted and they gave me an extra 10 for my honesty,
So i have to agree, honesty is the best policy in these cases :D

Honesty is this best policy not because players feel they have a moral responsibility, but because players feel the casino could become dishonest with any winnings they might make.

It seems to me a large percentage of problems are created because of the bonus culture. The saying goes never look a gift horse in the mouth, with casinos its more a case of beware of Greeks bearing gifts.

As I recall, something like this happened to someone with an account on Bodog, something like two years ago - except he claimed his real balance showed something like $2,534,839 US, and he even provided a screen shot (this was a thread from 2+2, internet poker). The player didn't touch it, as I recall, but many forum members there stated that they would have played with it. People on 2+2 are always talking like that, but I'd imagine most people would contact the cashier and straighten matters out.
