Just saw this on Betfair casino homepage.

How is that even possible on Roulette? I know massive wins on slots is nothing special, but it is nearly impossible to win this sort of amount on Roulette. There's no mega jackpot in roulette, and luck runs out sooner or later. I know this, since I play roulette exclusively.

This will also put to rest RNG is rigged theory.

No idea what the table limits are. I don't play much roulette in real, and never for high stakes, but I do know over at 3Dice in the freeroll roulette tournaments it is usual for the winner to have a peak balance of around $35,000, and that's an hour of play at $500 stakes. So if the table has a 5K limit, I can definitely see that happening.

By picking one number and betting the splits and corners surrounding it, you can hit pretty big.

Also, it doesn't say he "profitted" by 370K plus, just that they won it. He could have bet 400K for all I know.

The table range at betfair is 10 cents - $10,000. That's why it attracts a ton of roulette players.

I don't play roulette, but is that 10k max for all the bets across the table combined or is it a max single bet? Still, 10k bet on a number gives you 320k doesn't it?
That would explain it IMO.

If thats the case then doing 10k bet is very much possible, I've often seen £3-7k bets I did one once for around 2.5k, I wonder how much the person spent getting that..

high stakes often capped @£250 single number or i have two places i can go up to £200 & one @ £500 single number so max hit would be middle number , single splits of four single line double line red/black second dozen, high low numbers , you get the point , but some have max tables limits on overall , i would take this with a pinch of salt , MG maxs at £125 per single number premier roulette. playtech software is higher though , live games can go even higher i do believe.

A player that I sent to William Hill won £350,000 last year playing live roulette. So it is possible.

There have also been large winners at Royal Panda during the last 6 months.

What I would say is it's perfectly plausible for someone to win that much with 10k bets, so where does the last £1 come from?

I doubt they finish off playing by sticking £1 on red.

You mean it might be fake. :( I thought such a large UK bookie/casino won't do such a thing.
IMO nearly all these "big winner" announcements are fake - especially when it's some odd amount you can't possible win in one spin.
And with BetFair being rogue - I wouldn't believe ANYTHING on their website.

They don't give you all the info, like Jasmine said. Maybe that's how much he has been paid for wins on roulette over the last 6 months, while being an overall loser - who knows?

I wouldnt say nearly all are fake I would say misleading because they dont tell you how much the player bet to win that amount. Some people who show up on that may actually lose lol.

I know the one on slotocash/grandevegas etc is legit. Ive seen my wins on it a few times. That being said, I once placed a bet for $2000 and my total win was $2200 and it showed as a $2200 win. So I had a $200 profit. But in people's head they think oh someone got lucky on a slot with a $1 bet. When thats rarely ever the case.

Clearly fake, random numbers really your not going to hit a win with odd and even numbers on in high stake roulette. You might hit like £360,000 but not £352,149

Thanks for letting this know. Hmm quite unexpected. Isn't this blatant false advertising? Didn't think UK high street bookies can do such a thing.

BetFair wouldn't be dishonest?

You're not from around here I see :D

The thing with Betfair being Rogued is - it's just about that ONE, SINGLE legendary bonus fiasco. Otherwise it's not at all a scam operation. And frankly speaking, one's money is 100% safe with Betfair. It's like a bank, probably safer than EU banks. There are many traders and punters who play on Betfair full time. Among punters and traders, it's probably the most trusted operation. Now since am a roulette player, I strictly don't take any bonus. The wagering requirement becomes outright impossible no matter how sweet the bonus is. Also we need generous table limit. For example, at Bet365 the limit is $1-$150 which is a sad joke. Ladbrokes also offers great table limits (video roulette offers $250,000!!!) but Betfair is much more professional than Ladbrokes. Most microgaming casinos don't offer free spins on roulette, which is a deal breaker.

This is why I (and many others) play at Betfair in spite of knowing its rogued status at Casinomeister and Wizard of Odds. Practical considerations wins over ideals.

I hope he gave you some of his winnings.

I don't think I had much to do with it other than recommend somewhere to play high stakes roulette. I certainly won't earn any commission from him as the program is negative carry over. I had him ring fenced so can see that he is still playing, but no-where near the levels he was. So far he is managing to break even without spunking it all back. Hopefully he withdrew it and bought a house or something.

It's their sheer refusal to do the right thing and sort the mess out for those affected that keeps them rogued.
They actually went as far as taking money directly out of peoples' bank accounts, basically a charge-back. If any of us done that we'd be black listed at all casinos forever more. It may have only been once single incident, but it was just about as appalling as casino practice can possibly get. If they are capable of doing that, they are capable of anything in my opinion.
