    1. How often mega moolahs mega/major jackpots go off, on average.

    2. If there's any problem taking bonuses at three similar casinos (32red jackpotcity and lucky nugget)

    3. Are there any games from those casinos with unique features? For example i once played a physical slot that had a bunch of different featutes including racing little animals and so on, wheras most features are just free games, maybe pick a treaaure chest, or the 243 line variants like immortal romance which although offer some variety are kind of all the same.

    4. This one you couldn't know unless you know a coder, but does it matter which "treasure chest" you choose or has the game already decided what you're going to win?

    5. Tournaments - worth it? How do you know who gets the prize and what percent? Is it spread over the first ten winners? A hundred?
    Cheers

I can only answer this one, and it's still only an "opinion" (I think).

Take Playboy for example - you can get a full screen of wilds on either 2 or 4 (of the 4 free spins choices available). Wins which are simply impossible on the other 2.
Likewise Thunderstruck II's Loki Magic feature - you can get the jackpot of a full screen of wilds. Not possible on the other 3.
The Finer Reels Of Life - You can get the jackpot full screen of wilds on the Wine & Cheese free spins feature, but it's not possible on the other 3.
Immortal Romance - Sarah's feature. She can turn reels 3, 4 and 5 wild   (nah, obviously it's possible to turn all reels wild in her feature but it'll never happen)

Obviously your choice must matter on some level. But try getting Microgaming to answer that one. And then catch that flying pig.

Lucky Nugget’s group is Digimedia Casino Group
    32Red’s group is 32Red Plc
Jackpot City’s group is Digimedia Casino Group

You may have a problem with the bonuses at Jackpot City and Lucky Nugget since it’s the same group (owners.)
I would suggest to email both of these casinos and ask them personally.

    32Red won’t be a problem.

Interesting, but perhaps instead of getting full screens of wilds if you chose a different one you'd get a comparable pay configuration, like a few (really) good spins.

Cheers. I wonder if that's fair, given that there's no obvious disclosure about it and that they probably only do it to allow people to work around exclusions and deposit limits.
Or is there some legit reason for someone to own multiple nearly identical casinos?

lol ask 32Red who has 4 casinos, Vegas Partner Lounge who has 7...or maybe Casino Rewards who has about 30. ;) Oh and Club World Group has 6 RTG casinos and Jackpot Capital has 3.

Simply, the reason that these companies have multiple casinos is this: the more casinos they have, the more money they make.

And BTW, 32Red also has a term about taking signup bonuses at only one casino in the group - you'll find that most casinos that are in a group (although not all) have a term like that.

    I am also curious...

Frosty, you touched upon a subject I am debating with my husband.
Perhaps a different question on playing...

When you STOP the wheels of a game, any game, isn't the determined
outcome the same as if you didn't hit the STOP button?
Isn't the WIN (or God forbid LOSS) chosen by the machine when you hit SPIN?

I say it is, hubby says it isn't. :):what:

Also, I would love the RTG casinos to SHOW when the Random Jackpots
hit. Maybe have a forum with the date and winners names and amounts won?

Give you some hope to maybe win it yourself...
Maybe they NEVER hit and that is why we don't hear about it??...lol...geez:eek:

Okay that's my 2cents plain for today. Cheerio!:notworthy:oops::lolup:

    1. You can view the history of the biggest jackpot at You must register/login in order to see the link.

    2. As others have said - not if the casinos are from different groups. If the same group - check T&Cs and contact them if there is ANY doubt.

    3. Yes - lots. Unless you have something specific in mind, you'll just have to try some of their 300+ slots until you find what you like!

    4. It's believed that it makes no difference (i.e. it's pre-determined). At the end of the day - does it make any difference either way?

    5. Personally, I think not. I've never played MG tournaments though, so I'm not the best person to give an opinion on them.

You are 100% right - he is wrong!

I've noticed there are a fair few people who believe this. I think that it's incorrect.
There is an easy way to resolve this. Contact Microgaming or another software provider.
I can say with a high degree of certainty; if you are playing land based slots in Australia or America then what you pick does matter. I suggest it's the same online.

I recently tried to contact Microgaming about the probability of getting a 'free ride' card in their Level-Up Jacks or Better.
They did not respond. I don't think they reply to questions from the public.
Net Entertainment have a warning message on their website saying that they do not respond to questions from the public.

The games at 3Dice have features like this and I'm sure they would be happy to respond to this question.

Interesting you say that because I'm in Australia and I'd thought of this before; with genie magic you choose three chests from three lines of five chests.
90%+ of the time (over about 100 features) i get the worst possible outcome from all three chests.
    That seems predetermimed to me.

Interested to hear why you think otherwise.

I play land based slots here in Australia (pokies) but I can't recall playing 'Genie Magic.' By the sounds of it, there are probably a lot more low value prizes compared to high value ones.
I.e. 75% of the chests would be low value prizes. This would explain why it seems like you get the worst possible outcomes.

    nope; the stated options are:

    2x 3x 4x 5x 6x multiplier
    5 8 15 20 25 games
5 different bonus symbols ranging from common to uncommon (scatter)

every time i get 2x, 5 games, scatter bonus

 You're right and your hubby is wrong. Just like my house. ;)

Seriously though, as you said, the RNG is triggered when you push the spin button. I think people like to think that they have some sort of control over it, but all a STOP button does is stop the reels faster, it doesn't affect the outcome. That being said, some people still swear that if they use a stop button they get more features or whatever.

Personally once I learned that the features where you pick something are mostly predetermined, it took a lot of pressure off me - instead of saying "Oh crap, I should have picked the other one" now I can say, "Stupid game only gave me..." and I no longer have to take the blame for my bad choices! Again, just like my house.

    argh!

    edit: removed whine post

so I guess i'll add another question:

Is the RTP% the same regardless of bet size?

Because I've been low rolling all week (30c) and every time I've gotten up to ~$80+ (then lost it all of course).
As soon as my pay goes in I hit the same machines with $1.50/$3 spins and they're stone cold.

    It happens every time.

So is playing $10 worth of 30c spins the same as $100 worth of $3 spins?

Not in theory, but in practice.

As an example I had $2 worth of loyalty points (from $850 deposit!) so played 30c spin, very first spin: 40xb pay - I didn't have more than 20xb the whole of the $850 worth of $1.50-$3 spins.

They play different on higher bets.

E: actually I tell a lie; did get a single 30xb (on $1.50 spin).. But mainly just sub 1xb to 0xb.

The casinos are similar I guess because you have the download package for all 3, and they all use the same microgaming software - if you want to claim welcome bonuses without issue, stick to casinos from different groups, although that is getting harder and harder especially as Digimedia are merging up a tonne of these 'similar' Microgaming casinos. Your PROBABLY safe to grab the WB at:

    32Red
    Platinum Play
    Betway
    Casino UK
    Lucky Nugget
    Go Wild
    Red Flush

Sure, absolutely loads of games have unique side games and bonus features, but often games will have a free spins mode as well which pays much better than the sidegame... but still, MG have hundreds of games in the download casino and you can play in fun mode, so if you have a day to kill, I'm sure you could find some that you like !

I am a coder and I can say there are some advantages to pre-determining the result as soon as the feature triggers, but I am fairly sure there are some games which have pick me bonuses where all that is pre-determined is what is under each pick, as well - see, it doesnt really matter which way around it is done, but there was an uproar here on CM a couple of years back about the fact that in Microgaming video poker, whether you win or lose is already decided before you choose one of the 4 cards... IE, if theres a 4 showing, and your going to lose to a K, whichever card you pick will be the K. There used to be speed advantages in doing it this way before almost everybody had superfast internet, but today there is really no need to do it this way - heres the thing though, there is no way for you to ever know how it was decided, and the odds are same, so even though it "feels" wrong, it really just does not matter :)

Guessing your referring to the tournaments in the microgaming lobby once again, there are tabs on the right hand side that show the current players and positions once you have joined the tournament, the winnings are shown in a seperate tab whilst the game is ongoing, but after it completes the winnings are shown next to each players name. The number of winners is different every time, for example the daily freeroll at 32red is 10 players paid. The bigger the tournament, the more people are paid usually. I like to play the freerolls but don't often bother when its for money because I don't have the bankroll to compete with those who can afford to 'buy' the win :(

It's fun to think you've discovered upon a 'system', even though you haven't, lol. It kind of adds to slotting's appeal, IMO.

Me, too. Hehe. The exception is that, from what I recall, the steps to progress up the pyramid on 3Dice's Arctic are assigned PRIOR to the act of selection. So yes, you will now have a reason to kick your own behind for choosing the wrong block, lol. And 3Dice's Enchanted bonus game, I think, is also - as with Arctic - NOT predetermined. Personally, I prefer it that way.

To keep myself happy I do this weird rationalization: If I pick something good, then it's me. :yahoo: If I pick something bad, it's the casino's fault. :sob:

That's strange - the way I recall it is that Enzo said the picks ARE pre-determined, so it doesn't matter which box you click, the result is the same.

One of us is wrong. Any volunteers to go and try to find Enzo's post?

{edit} OK, I did it. It didn't take too long.

That seems to go counter to my experience, where you can tell if a feature is going to suck within 2-3 spins, usually if you win something decent on the first couple of spins it keeps going well, whereas if you get nothing in 2-3 it'll just keep giving nothing, which indicates my predetermined amount theory. Ie; server knows feature will pay x amount before spins are completed.

I'm not so sure about that, could just be confirmation bias.
