Sorry if this has already been posted and I know some viper MGS casinos have already made moves.
But to my knowledge this is the first multi-platform provider to not accept UK players.

How many more will follow suit?, it would be nice if the casinos that are accredited here would give a heads up on their plans for the UK market.

It's even a UK based company!

One would have expected better from them as they would be well placed to be following the developments in the UK market, and there is no excuse at all for them getting so wrong footed that they couldn't give prior warning to existing UK players that they too would be getting booted. The only advance statement they gave was that NEW players from the UK could no longer register.

They are taking a decent approach though, as there are quite a few casinos that happily take the deposits, and only "discover" that the player was from a banned country after they win, using it as an excuse to void the winnings.

There is nothing fundamental that makes the position different between single provider and multi provider casinos, the rule is "No UK licence, no UK players". The rules that cover games and providers for UK players only comes into force in January 2015.

It is likely that the next month and a half will see an increase in the rate of exodus, and a corresponding increase in other casinos confirming that they are to remain in the UK. There is currently no information on the UKGC website to help players find out if their particular choices are set to boot them soon, or will remain for the foreseeable future.

Actually Tropezia Palace sent out a mail to their affiliates on August 4th about this, they didn't send a notice to their players?

Not that I'm aware of, although some emails may have landed in my junk folder. I would have thought accredited reps would want to give advance notice on this forum of their intentions.

This message is displayed as soon as you land on the site, as they recognise a UK IP and you can't cancel the message and log in either.

The message that I got said they wouldn't be accepting NEW UK players but didn't say anything about existing players - you'd think they would have let their players know.

Have you tried going through a non-uk proxy just to see if you're still able to log in? Try bypassable.com that's in Canada.

*Note - I'm not saying to use the proxy to play, just to see if the account is open or closed and/or to speak to CS.

"Help" is still available without logging in but I got this message: "During the summer months July and August the live chat will be open between 10.00 and 22.00. If you need to contact us outside of these hours, we can be reached via email at This email is not visible to you.. "

I have no idea what time zone that refers to as no live chat is available now.

I just had a look in my junk folder, I did get an email on Tuesday offering me a deposit bonus but no mention of the closing of my account.

This is pretty rogue. It looks like they ARE going for the big squeeze before they pull out of the UK. I suspect they will transfer all their UK players to Betway, and this idea fits with the decision earlier to spin Betway off from the Palace Group for it to become (again) an independent operation run from the UK. It then shuts down GNUF and refreshes it's branding, then we hear that it will be receiving all the UK players from Digimedia, with the main Digimedia skins pulling out of the UK some time in August (which is now).

When it's all over, we can tally how many operations pulled out in an "unprofessional" manner leaving UK players high and dry, and facing a battle with CS to clear up the mess, and how many managed to conduct a well oiled transition or withdrawal where UK players were kept well informed as to what was happening.

    Good morning Greigssy!

I just noticed your post (thank you chayton). Since UK is introducing a licensing requirement we are staying responsible and respecting the requirements of the UK government. We are looking into the licensing process in order to proceed in the correct way.

We will keep everyone updated here on the forum.
    Cheers!

You could have kept your players up to date with an email, and may I suggest going forward that would be a better option than using a forum as the only means of communication about such a crucial issue.

I was very disappointed not to be told but simply to be greeted by the message at the website.

    Hi fun4all!
You are absolutely right, the email communication will go out today and the system will be updated to stop sending promotional emails as well.

Well, it's too little too late. The email should have gone out BEFORE any action was taken.

There is also the matter that under the UK rules, players do NOT have to endure an interruption during the transition period. The interruption is down to your failure to follow the proper procedures for applying for a continuation licence, and you still have till 16th September to get your application in before you can no longer operate during the transition.

The problem now is that having already booted UK players, if you then get a UK licence you will be at a considerable disadvantage as the players you booted will have found a new venue, and having been treated so shabbily, will be reluctant to return. This will make marketing costs much higher in terms of retrieving former players and gaining new ones.

If any UK players have ended up with funds trapped behind this block, you need to ensure they get their money without undue delay else they will feel they got screwed and booted, not merely treated shabbily.

It's absolutely terrible "service" to not be able to even take the courtesy to email your customer base before blocking them all out of your system.

It doesn't surprise me one bit other less reputable places trying to take advantage of the UK customers before closing down either. Some really horrible elements to this industry.
